This was brought up in a thread about the claimers being called Lords even though they are all female. And its honestly a great idea.

Give each tower and Keep in WvW a named NPC as the claimer, and one that has its own unique set of skills. Like say, the Lord Covington of Greenbriar gives buffs to allies, while the Lady Slynt of Anzalius Pass has a massive AOE attack.

A little change like this would add some much needed depth to the WvW experience.

+1 if the claimers actually say things while fighting, like other Bosses in the game do. Can you imagine the epic, if in the middle of a desperate fight for your Garrisons inner room, the Keep Lord cries out “Rally to me Comrades, we shall drive them out!” I know you can do it Anet. “Your weakness makes me laugh.”

I’d love to get Lords that are named after some of the better WvW’ers on a server, perhaps most kills or most towers taken?

Adds a little flavor into server pride.

I like the idea myself but many would cry that too much effort would be placed on ‘PvE’ areas of WvW.

In reference to ascended items:
Nar: I love that it will take me time and money to
reach the same level I’m at right now… …said no one, ever.

I wouldn’t care much if they got unique skill sets. Just changing to each having a unique name would be nice. I mean even the name of towers is boring. Just [color]briar/vale/water on the south camps could use a name change. It ends up looking lazy. At least the keeps have different names and the northern towers/camps.

Unique skills and names would make fighting a lord a bit more intresting than just “burst him down and wait on the circle”

While we are at it, we might as well ask them to change the southern BL towers/camp names(besides the very south most one) to change up the [color]/tower(camp)
