Crossbow) or something like that…scepter is slow this would be good because of lacking good range wpn for guardians

any thoughts ?
(btw this weapon could use necromancer and a engineer no one else)

1skill : nomal autoattack doing 600-600-800 and final attack doing frost dmg slowing for 1 sec (similar to hammer final attack is slower lets say 1 1/3 cast so like this 2/3 2/3 1 1/3 )
2skill: knock back attack doing 700 dmg (cd 20 sec)
3skill: blinding attack doing 600 dmg (blind 2 sec cd 15 sec)
4skill: somekind of fire attack or cure condition or aking down 1 enemies boon and giving them condition or giving self that boon (something like that)
5skill: knockdown attack with weapon (1 sec malee range) (cd 16 sec)

Would rather have javelin (and with some luck spear) being add to guardian , really this is all i miss on mine.

naw Crossbow is a must I wouldent mind a Halberd too

I am in total agreement. Having a new weapon for range would be really nice for Guardians as our current range weapons, Scepter & Staff, aren’t that great. Scepter is slow and the skills are kind of useless. Such as Smite is okay if the enemy stands still in that spot which generally doesn’t happen unless they are in your face, and Chains of Light in my opinion isn’t enough to make Smite useful because the enemy is immobile for only 2.5 seconds. Staff is weapon more for support rather than damage. Although I would try to argue that having a Symbol ability on the Crossbow would be a must, but I might be biased since I love symbols and am a Symbol build Guardian.

Would love a crossbow, but if you give a proffesion a new weapon, all the other will want one too. I just think the scepter needs further refining, perhaps a chain attack on auto cast with a faster projectile speed.

I’ve leveled fine with a scepter / torch combo. Lots of fire Double-tap #4, then attack/smite. Course, would be better if smite was auto-targeted instead of a stupid mouse skill, but eh, what can you do?

Using existing weapons, at first I was going to suggest adding axe as a ranged weapon (like the Ranger). I was going to say a slow, powerful attack throw (ranged equivelant to our hammer) rather than speedy like the Ranger, but slow is the biggest problem with our scepters so…dunno.

I could see Guardians using rifles. Not enough professions do right now so I think it’d be the perfect one to add. Would give us range and a hard hitting attack with some magically infused bullets.

i dont like rifles, crossbow is like guardian must have range wpn, i hate scepter because of their slowness , its funny when you shoot 4,5 bubbles and all of them miss hahaha
haha picture is funny but seeing a modern crossbow with optics wouldnt be a good idea

I think we neeed some gauntlets that let’s us shoot out kamehameha waves, hadokens, or fireballs.

i could see using a crossbow. although i would perhaps limit it to just guardians and thieves since warriors already have 2. it is not uncommon to see seraph and other npcs using such weapons for fortress defenses.

So you want a high damage ranged weapon on a profession known for it’s amazing survivability?

Really, why not just give them longbows, and remove rangers from the game.

no they have Balistae which are pretty much oversized crossbows so they just need to pull the smaller versions out of storage

Although having another ranged weapon for the Guardian would be cool. I don’t think it’s really necessary.

Back in the days – scepters were almost useless because of their slow firing rate but they’ve beefed them up somewhat; they’re not too bad these days.

The staff is a cool ranged guardian weapon as it is and you can set it up to do some pretty good ranged + AOE damage.

staff isnt a really full range weapon, i want new weapon, scepter is too slow, or if they reorganize scepter skills like 1st skill doind 3 attacks and final do something(dunno what) like gs skill or hammer it would be good, now is just bubble throwing at enemies who escapes from it just dodging.
