IMO, a lot of you guys are really sounding like you care more about doing your own thing than helping the server win. You want 1 on 1 and small teams vs small team? Have you ever heard about sPvP? You just might be in the wrong kinda of pvp.
While I respect the need for numbers at times… There are some major differences between small group and 1v1 combat in an open world, and in structured. The variety of random encounters that can happen is incredible compared to sPvP, just based on the number of people running around and the terrain itself. Not to mention the way that people behave when the goals are different and they’re not sure where other players (friendlies or enemies) are at or going.
And at the end of the day, it’s really about the combat. Not the points.

This coming from a server that couldn’t buy their way out of 3rd place 3 weeks ago. Read the old threads from weeks past and then tell me which server was talking trash, because I can assure you that BP has been talking just as much as AR has, if not more. Listen kid, I love fighting with BP. Up till the past few weeks its been fun and believe it or not, almost every single WvWer from AR had good things to say about yall. It beats the hell outta getting railroaded from which ever server got bumped down from the tier above us and having to squeak out a 2nd place over you guys, only to have the thread fill up with complaining that we “play for second”.
For some reason, you guys got paranoid that AR was targeting you, got organized and decided to camp our spawn for a whole weekend with siege. I was a bit upset, yes. But there’s 2 other exits, and we finished the match in 3rd place with you guys up top. I wasn’t upset about the loss. I was happy for yall. You guys fought like hell and deserved the win, because the rest of the week we had good fights and it was a close match.
I just lost faith in 2 more guilds from BP. Your rep is dwindling. I thought you should know. Lots of respect to GOAT and HOM. Good fights as always.
Update: They have since started killing some GOM, but had to move further down the puzzle because less of us were doing it.

Huge difference between a spawn camp like emhry bay did to us and a blockade designed specifically to keep some pinned at the spawn. If you are referring to our action against AR a few weeks ago. Aside from that i have not seen spawn camping and I have been out quite alot this week.

Perhaps we’ll see you guys “take your breaks” again, since that’s how you put it the other week when we fought BP and left GoM pretty much alone, and also camping is camping, I don’t care if it’s outside an entrance of the spawn point, or at the entrance of the jumping puzzles, but at least have some respect, if you guys want to camp an area and kill, then do it to both sides. I have no problems with that, but if you guys are targeting just AR, then yes I have a problem with that. Keep your numbers up, you’ll need it this week.

Your zerg is impressive, I’ll say that. You guys got a huge crowd running in circles in your homeland, but it’s funny how much more braver you guys have gotten in the forums since you have so many more people in the fight.

I find puzzle complaining in any shape or form hilarious. Why? Because it’s in a pvp zone and it’s optional. Regardless of who teams up on who and who’s camping it. It’s still optional and it’s still a pvp zone. It’s fair game for whatever. Personally I don’t even do it, I get plenty of badges just killing people for siege weapons.
Since BP seems to be angry at us, I don’t know why, I think next week I’m gonna focus entirely on BP.

that’s funny you say this, because last night, while sos was making it’s rounds karma/xp running in your area. I swear I saw a sea of red players from borlis pass running around retaking the camps, and it had several tags with “Goat”.

Wait a minute. Hold on. People are grouping up and organizing into larger groups to get things done in WvW?? This is absurd. They should be banned. You should only be allowed to WvW if you have a max group of 5. If you run into another player with your max group you must immediately tell them to leave. Should you run into a party of enemies who only have 4 one of you must log out immediately to make it fair.
Seriously? It’s WvW. There’s going to be zerging. There’s going to be times where both of the other teams are attacking you. There’s going to be times when the puzzle is going to get camped. There’s going to be times when -gasp- you get run over by superior numbers.
You guys act like EVERY other server in this entire game doesn’t do ALL these things. It’s part of the game. Deal with it.
Sure some people (like myself) like to run in small groups or solo, but don’t complain when you get run over by the “zerg”. What’s everyone going to do? Split up into little 5 man groups have a designated area you’re only allowed to roam? Good luck with that.
I think people are just bored of this match up.

I don’t post here much but from the weeks we have played AR and BP, the only consistent is that AR or a few guilds from AR QQ about zerging from the other servers.
So I have an idea BP and GoM should focus all there attention to holding all of AR and AR’s towers/keeps in EB. I am not telling BP to not attack us or our server to not attack BP but to make sure AR holds the new record for lowest score total in a week. that way AR can move down a level and be the top dog in the lower level were they will be the zerg.
makes them happy and brings new blood into our match up.

look at the rankings! Of course we will continue to fight the same teams lol. If Sorrows Furnace does really bad each week, they will drop and GOM will move up. (based on NOV 9th rankings). Anvil rock is basically on path to hit last tier while last tier champion Devonas Rrest (based on NOV 9th rankings) will move up.
Anvil Rock is on a downward spiral unfortunately because of guilds like TCMM running Zergs all day and screaming in teamspeak for undermining the guild leader (true story happened to me lol). The only hope for Anvil Rock = leaders like Darksavage. Very few people on AR have half a brain, let alone a full brain like Darksavage uses.
There’s other “leaders” on AR that have brains and know WvW tactics….the problem is, the population needs to be educated on what makes WvW “win” versus why you “lose”.
shesh, was fighting out in AR tonight, my 10 man group managed to flip a few towers/depos, knock down a castle door. but my goodness, so many. We had some good fights AR. outside Bay, we ran into 3 other guild groups, in 3 waves. was a long fight, shocked we came out on top against those back to back waves.
Eventually, AR won their lake, and kicked us the heck out!

When I declare war I do it for the guild, not the server. I praised the server by making it clear that which ever AR focuses on, the other server takes lead. I don’t recall saying, when SoS focuses on what server, the other takes lead. quote me on it next time cause I honestly don’t recall saying that but seriously SoS loves to fight, and I plan on destroying BP this week as much as I can. Don’t hate on the guild for running with members on their alts to lvl them up in our karma/exp train. What’s funny, is everyone on alts and crappy gear seems to wipe your chasing party every now and then, and if we do, you guys come back with even more people. So don’t kid yourself. We will attack regardless of how much is out there, or how much you throw at us. We know you need numbers to be “good”, maybe you guys need to start admiting that, because it’s quite obvious.
