pretty good action tonight on AR map tonight.

btw how did BP end up blue? i looked at score board less than 2 hours before the reset and we were up 8k on GoM with a 3 way split for objectives.

anyways, i’ll up the video in the morning. got a couple epic battles on fraps tonight. not usre what server it was we fought, too buzzed :P

I know right? We’ve never been blue before – a bit disorientating!! It’s because GoM has more accumulated points.

i don’t understand any of that. we had 8k more total points than them. am i missing something?

and yeah it is weird being blue. last week was great. tonight was a great start to the match.

at one point a smaller sized gom kinda sorta ran into us after holding off a sec, what we didn’t realize was a big AR zerg was right behind them lol. the GoM guys fought tooth and nail though, and no wonder, they were between a rock and a hard place think i got that in the video.

Accumulated points based on their standing. They have more accumulated points than we do – not in the previous match – overall… so they get green.

What a week it was, I hope this week is just as good.

Good show in the GoM BL tonight. We ended a four hour stalemate by finally capping everything after Borliss went to bed.

As I am stuck doing an chemistry project write-up I cant get on and play but it seems everyone is too busy WvW’ing to post a score! So here is an update for anyone like me who cant play but still wants to keep updated.

GoM here. I woke up to this, and I’m not thrilled. Winning is nice, and I certainly don’t like being in the hole by 10k+ after one day (like last week), but I don’t want a blow-out because that’s not fun. Come on BP and AR, you can do it!

Dang – when GoM isn’t busy with Halloween stuff – they really do bring the game. Hopefully Borlis doesn’t give up and PvE or XP grab like we usually do in situations like these… GoM has quite a lead, but it’s day 2 – we can catch up, if we get the numbers we had last week!

GoM was in 3rd when i went to bed at like 1am… lulz we were wondering where they were at reset- i guess they were biding their time waiting for us to go to bed

I think what is making this match up more dynamic is the clear difference in the time each server has it’s peak numbers. That being said, seems GoM is having a slightly larger showing than they had last week. I swear to god if BP pulls back I am going to transfer over there and harass you guys for a week. Of course I kid, I can’t leave AR, I love my server.

It wasn’t that BP got no one on at night, it’s just some bright commander decided to have 20-30 of their players stay guard 3-4 trebs for like hours against barely 10 defenders. Thus leaving BP gaining nothing the entire night.

For what it’s worth, GoM doesn’t usually have a night presence either. Must just be because the weekend, or perhaps a few guilds allying.

After this weekend we’ll see if the claims of BP winning due to better coordination and sound strategy or was it just more folks out in Wv3?

actually we had more numbers last night than last reset with short queues on all maps last night afaik. last week we had overflows in LA every night during the event, which is the first time i’ve seen an overflow on borlis pass in over a month outside of sudden wvw reset/booting everyone out/just before a match reset.

from what i understand who ever was in EBG was just arguing amongst each other or something. idk what guilds or commanders were involved.

RED map was a much happier place though, and we were kicking some serious kitten

my video post might be a big longer than expected. i had some win8 trouble that interupted it, now youtube uploader is giving me some weird status results on the current up.

we had around 16 people peak number last night, so pretty good turn out in wvw for a s/c pvx guild with only 50 people total on the roster including people not repping and inactives.

there are 4 scenes here, idk if i’d count the first scene a battle, it was just BPA routing AR out of garrison. middle two first were at astralhome, last fight was at arah’s.

the end of the 2nd actual fight we were getting over ran and mos tof us were dead, but for some reason they were ignoring our survivors on their flank. i made the call to withdraw, but liek true klingon warriors my guys didn’t want to quit the field, they relunctantly agreed and followed me to our port out point.

last fight we were cappign arah’s when we spotted a group of around 5 GoMs(which server we hadn’t seen much/any of thus far), we decided to engage, and they rush into the middle of us, then we saw why when AR zerglings started rendering in front in the middle and behind us suddenly. gg rendering issues amirite?

shout out the signet of buckwild from AR who brought their zerg into our meatgrinder repeatedly through out the night. gg bros.

i just wanted to add, that this month my gaming videos made this month are dedicated to movember/no shave november to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

i don’t monetize my videos, so ad view revenue of them won’t be directed to prostate cancer charities, unless done so by google or the IP holders of the songs i use.

instead i ask that you make a donation to a prostate cancer charity of your choice, wear a beard or moustache this month, or better yet, spread the word among the men in your life about prostate cancer.

i actually wear a beard year round i shave it to a shadow with electric razer every 8 or so weeks. i told a HS buddy that told me his dad died from prostate cancer this month’s beard was dedicated to his dad though.

maybe we can dedicate this week’s match to movember/no shave november? have like a screen shot gallery from all three servers of toons with moustaches and beards or something.

we could probably do up like a tumblr or idk what service would be best to upload screen shots, then me or someone else can compile them into a video.

Holy crow why did no one tell me how much fun this is!! First pvp in Guild Wars last night and then this morning and all i can say is WOW!

Now Im not the greatest but it is so refreshing to play in some pvp where most the time isnt spent with your team calling you a moron and the other team dancing on your corpse. Just a bunch of people trying to take a location and a bunch of people trying to stop you. One side wins, and everyone moves on to try something else or take back what was lost.

If someone had told me I wouldn’t have to listen to people crying or taunting through my whole pvp session I would have tried this a long time ago!

AR seems a little bitter about placing third place last week. I had only about 15 guildies in GoM map and TCMM/CRFT guilds had about 30 fighting us. After we met a few times on the field we obv ended up losing the fights but held our own for a while. I will say this though. Krew will only focus AR this week because of the poor sportsmanship you guys showed tonight. Dancing on dead bodies and /emote spamming during the fight while clearly out numbering us is pathetic.

Have fun focusing on AR.. Clearly your playing for second place. :P

Absolutely we do, in the last match up players on BP stated they went after Anvil, because they figured they would get second, but had no idea they would get first, and are still attacking AR this match. Borlis clearly plays for second and openly admits it.

On a side not, I hear A-Net is changing the server name to Borlis Playsforsecond. Just a rumor, hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The only thing that 1st place gets you is a ticket to Tier 6. I’m hear that’s a fun place to Wv3… just ask Sorrows Furnace.

You seem to be talking about me in this case.

So, let me talk to you a little bit about what happened after reset so you at least know what you are talking about.

Now, I’m not taking offence here. I think it’s beneficial for us to learn from our mistakes. But first you gotta know what they are.

When hours after reset your maps keeps, little by little, being taken and you have less and less stuff, that’s not good. Do you agree? That’s what was happening in BP BL.

At reset, I went to GoM BL. There, we were doing well. Held bay, hills, and the rest of the southern part of the map. At one point a decision was made to leave that map and I went to see what was happening in Borlis.

When I got to Borlis, there were 2 commanders and people were very frustrated and yelling at each other. So after a while I decided to take a break cause when there is too many leaders trying to pull in too many directions it’s worse than 1 just doing a poor job. We were holding less than 50% of the map at that point. So, after a while, I came back and the map was almost all green and there was no commander. There were about 10 people in the map at that point. I personally brought 20-25 people to that map and started working on things, but people such as yourself were complaining about things and not understanding the situation. Hills was heavily defended with siege and not easy to take. GoM was defending to attacks very well. So I decided to go slow and work on the map. Long story short, when I finally got tired of people complaining, we had most of the map, GoM only held hills, lake and water.

When I came back a couple of hours later the map was completely green and there were 5 people in the map. I called everyone I could from my friends and people from PACT, all in all, 30 people showed up to the map and we took it all back. Then I moved on to Eternal (suggestion made by EDGE) and took our 3rd plus most of Anvil’s side.

I played from reset almost nonstop for 20 hours. Every time I’m on a map leading we advance, be it slow or fast.

So when you call me “bright commander” you are correct, you just gotta leave irony out.

How commited were you to WvW this week? What mistakes did you make yourself?

I lead because people ask me to. I don’t do it for glory. I don’t call out the name of my guild when I’m capping stuff. I actually get messaged every 10 minutes by people asking me “What map are you on? Are you leading? Please come to Borlis, we need you here.”

I led for weeks without a commander tag. I started doing WvW in the first beta, so I’ve been around for a while, always in Borlis Pass. Ask any major WvW guilds and players who I am and they’ll tell you if you should follow my lead or not. So my suggestion to you, next time I’m in your map, message me, ask me to put you in my party. Come to my team speak. I’ll be glad to explain to you what I’m doing and why I’m making those decisions. I hope we do get to know each other better and you become a dedicated WvW player.

Just so you know I am not on BP server, I am a GoM commander, the one with the lightning footsteps and lightning auras.

I start working on BP map @ 1 AM EST and stop at roughly 10 AM EST because BP zerg showed up and most GoM went to AR borderland because of no action on BP map.

BP HAD a lot of people roughly 3-4 AM EST, at least 25 people. At the time they decided to seige the hill from Stargrove using 3-4 trebs with everyone defending that position. At that time the Hill only had roughly 10-15 GoM there top. That wouldn’t be such a bad decision if #1 the wall were reinforce even with 4 trebs the rate of repair the wall still faster than the rate of the trebs can take it down. #2 their treb users don’t know how to aim or was blind to the GoM trebs killing them. But hey BP decided it was such a great idea to grind it out for at least an hour.

They had the force to just go hit the Bay, Garrison or any other towers at that time and they would have blow through stuff since we barely had anyone. By the time they decided to gave up on trebbing the Hill and start going for the other stuff it was too late. Reinforcement from EB and GoM pouring in roughly 7 am and just bulldozer any BP left on that map.

Roughly 7:30-8 AM ish 99% of the GoM players followed a few commanders to AR borderland and start capping stuff that’s when BP starting to wake up and zerg everything else.

You may have your ideas about what we did wrong in Borlis Pass, but it’s just a very one-sided view when you’re not playing alongside us.

And thank you for the praise. I really do try hard. I edit my posts to try and keep them clean and avoid flaming. That’s how you build a good community imo.

BTW, I have really enjoyed the GoM players that have sent me whispers and chatted with me. Great sportsmanship on your side.

It’s not hard to guess, not many commanders running around with legendary weapon.

Not entirely sure who is upset, but I do find it fun to use your weekly argument against you. All in all I haven’t been in Wv3 much this week. Hope by the time I can drag myself back to it the match has stayed somewhat close.

Also, Borlis Pass, why are you guys playing so hard for second? Oh, and what is the deal teaming up with GoM. Why are you working with the Green server to double team Red? Attacked from both sides! Madness I tell you!!

plok’s daily whine/excuse about double teaming doesn’t reflect the thoughts or feels of most of us.

and uh, that whole playing for 2nd joke got played out about 3 weeks ago bros,it’s been mainly you two AR guys talking about 2nd place since. and yes at your suggestion, last week we did in fact play for 2nd. kinda funny how that worked out eh?

you and kodiak can make a new guild. call it 2nd place 4 lyfe.

DKz Lux is, in my opinion, one of the best commanders out there. He is very smart and he has a way about him that draws the folks on our BL’s to him and he is able to get them to follow him and he very patiently instructs them as to what to do. The other commanders don’t really lead the pugs, they just lead their respective guilds around and the pugs just follow them around with said guild. Daiosho will take the time to guide the pugs, and explain what to do… So in my opinion, he is a quality commander and Borlis is proud to have him on our side!
