ANOUNCEMENT. The Pop Up Pirates now have not one, but two level 80 players. I’ll give you a moment to let that sink in……….TWO UNSTOPPABLE PIRATE, KILLING MACHINES. Wait till we have 3! Yes. If I was in FC or SF I too, like you would be shaking in my boots – or socks which I understand some wear while reading the forums.

Except for Yarr of course. They may continue they’re activities as we duo(and then trio) the entirety of this matchup. You’ve been warned.

I like how the guy calls Fergs opportunists when ET has been on our rear 24/7 since last week and times 90% of its major keep attacks to come in just after SF is already mass zerging one of our other keeps in the same map for an easy flip. Hypocrite much?

First of all: I did not see him calling Ferg any kind of name at all, and even if he did, not like you did any better with your subtle digs at ET in your score match up. And “Opportunist” really? Welcome to WvW.

I mean really, do you think SF goes “Oh wait, this Keep is empty, we should come back at another time when they are ready for us”, do you think SF goes “Oh hai guys, we are here, there are, 67 of us, as we see you have 22, so, take some time to stock up on Supply and call your friends, so this can be an even match up

Come off it.

Secondly: there is never a time that SF is not zerging someone’s map. So give that card a rest. It would not matter when or where ET attacked, it would always be right around when SF attacked. We could throw a dart at the map and pull a time out of the hat, it would still be “Right when SF attacked”, It’s been that way for the last 4 weeks now.

Lastly: Calling people names? Really?

im pretty sure someone on et with a bit of power has a vendetta against fc. its been obvious from the extra attention weve been getting since about this time last week, but the difference is now its happening at the expense of their own borderland and probably costing them more.

Yah, I will have to admit, Pay Back, does seem to aptly describe it. Pretty much, for a while. a few weeks, with the whole “alliance” talk, and being under dogs, a good chunk of ET’s forces were more then happy to leave then entirety that is FC alone, the lack of these forces to back up a move against FC pretty much kept any plans to make a serious move against FC highly limited to say the least.

ET was more then happy to put our focus on SF and our own BL.

At some post, that went pear shaped, and on Friday Reset, Feb 16. FC painted ET’s border Blue. Well, even the ones that did not want to deal with FC, and were happy to extend the olive branch of truce, could not deny what was before them, there was a genuine feeling of having been played by FC, in that regard. You (Someone on FC) asked for an alliance we (a Portion of the people on ET) extended our hand back to you, and we get stomped the following week by you.

Now days, the commanders and guilds that want to attack FC, do not seem to be at a lack to get people willing and riled up to do so, where in the past they were.

Or has been my personal observations on that matter.

Meh. I don’t think SF is trying to make us fight each other, if they are, wow, that would be just desperate, I mean they have the forces to just overrun us both, at the same time.

I think this is just some frustration bubbling up, even if SF does astronomically well, they will be here for at least 2 more weeks, and if they slack off at all, it could quickly extend into another month.

In that time, to be honest, I would rather at this point fight Ferg then SF, as I believe that Ferg would be a more even match up against us and thus offer a better fight then just getting steamrolled by SF.

Would be kinda cool if ET/FC could just Ignore SF and duel it out between us, who gets 2nd and 3rd, make it our own little mini game in WvW.

Another Monday with waaaaaay too little sleep. Good (and intense) times last night. I think at one point we had 6 Commanders on our BL organizing the recapping of all our stuff after we nearly lost it all. Once SF was at the Garrison gate, the call went out and a bunch of us came back from other maps, sprang into action, and began methodically taking everything back. My highlight of the evening was Omnix(?) and me fending off an entire SF zerg from the hallway of the Lord’s Room at Askalonian Hills. After we finished, I said, “Did WE just do that?!?!…HELL YEAH!” Sadly, we could not hold the second charge several minutes later but it was still awesome!

For a while I wondered why SF seemed to be leaving Ferg completely alone while they rampaged through ET, but I think we eventually caused enough devastation that we broke their spirit and they eventually left to look for an easier fight. (Hopefully they didn’t find it there either. )

Good fights last night everyone!

Shouldn’t that be in the I’m fed up thread where people from others servers said ET and FC couldn’t handle T7 servers?

They dropped a thread merge on it, so its all irrelevant. Anyways, these topics are getting old now, and I’d personally rather see a thread complaining about how ridiculously conservative the moderators can get here, its starting to feel like censorship the sheer amount of posts that get deleted, threads moved, infractions handed out immediately if you point the finger at Anet over just about anything.

We might as well sing about flowers and fields and world peace and absolutist pro-humanism in these forums these days.

Lol…careful they are watching (can’t use the I word).

Glad we are having some better fights in the last week. MOS has us moving down 68pts and when guild missions come out we may see the flight of the PvE’rs to new content.
This screen shot was before SM was taken

You should see the edit I added, now I’m REALLY ASKING for it. grabs popcorn.

Now if you will excuse me, I have a Sheen-Bean-Al score update to work on.

Nice love your score updates…can’t wait to see the new one.

Can’t believe the new guild mission is going to need Art of War 5 to start it, wish I knew that before since it takes a week to complete. 50,000 influence to speed up also.

Pretty sure you didn’t delete your funny post Detharos, just had three messages saying my post were deleted because original was deleted. Sad what others resort to when the don’t agree with you. I liked it and the links I thought they were pretty funny.

additionally, while he asked for a whos who on fc… he pretty much decided to go about the whole NAP/alliance thing unilaterally anyways, as far as i could tell. not a good way to make friends, or keep them.

@ungood —
maybe if we got our respective servers together we could do something like have all of et and fc pile into a single borderland and duke it out for a couple days. and together kick the kittens of any sf who dare show their faces. and leave the other 3 maps for sf so they get the hell out of here in a timely manner.

could be interesting, though im relatively uncertain about how advantageous one border is to any given team over another.

I personally saw no new transfers represented last night. No new guild tags that I noticed. It’s possible, of course, that there were some individuals here and there though. What I did see were 6+ of our regular Commanders calling in as many of their guild as they could. When I went to bed at like 2am, there were still at least two of them on ET and one or two had moved to other maps. I suspect there are lots of us sleep deprived this morning.

I’d be (pleasantly) surprised if we’re able to keep that kind of (insane) commitment up for long.

i’ve noticed a difference in how our score looks first thing in the morning over the past... oh.. say... week or so. maybe a tad more. instead of logging on in the morning and seeing we owned NOTHING like i used to, i now log on and see we take up our 1/3 of the pie graph... culminating with waking up one morning to see we’d taken stonemist overnight or early morning (which i posted a screenshot of).

to me, it means we either have more people... a night crew forming possibly... or we have a portion of our day people shifting to night and morning for some reason. as i’ve said more than once now.. i’m not noticing a marked increase in fighters during my usual active times...and in fact i’ve noticed a slight decrease at times (to the point that i wonder how we’re holding our lead over fergy O.o ) so i’m not sure where these hypothetical new people are hiding.

This. I’m EST, and while I’m at work I’ll keep tabs on the current scores as much as they’re updated. Up until last week, ET would control essentially nothing from the late AM EST through about 3-4 pm EST. Last week, all of the sudden, there’s been a surge in ET control during these hours, especially around 11-noon EST. I haven’t noticed any new faces during peak server hours, but during these off hours it definitely looks like either there are new faces, or at least new commitment.

Alright FC/ET, here’s the deal. You guys have rallied, and the last few days you’ve appeared to have more numbers than I have seen in awhile. It has been a LOT of fun, because there’s actually something to do.

So my plea, please keep it up. I will not mind dropping 40-70 points if there will be consistent numbers to keep the battle interesting.

That being said, last night I grouped with a few of our commanders as we wiped you guys out of EB, and then subsequently out of the ET borderlands before I got offline and I became slightly concerned again.

I don’t know if it was SF lacking numbers the last few days (because boredom is a prevalent issue for many SF WvW’ers), or what, but yeah I don’t want to sink ratings again and be stuck here for another month or two if we can’t keep up the fights we’ve had.

Morale is high and spirits are soaring in ET. We fight against overwhelming odds and do better than ever.

We are also letting Ferg reap what they sow. Most of us ET commanders have no more feelings of an alliance. We extended the olive branch, and you spit at it. Enjoy getting treated the way you treated us in the past.

And SF has the numbers, but are sloppier than ever. And I see both sides capitalizing on it.

(Textwall incoming …)

As others in threads like this have pointed out: that “treaty” business was wonky from the bleeding jump. I’ll only speak for my own self: I was A-OK with leaving your guys be. As such, I stayed away from ET’s BL until our own started to get consistently rolled by your lot.

Of course, things like this prove two things:
1.) Any Treaty/Alliance/etc. only lasts until one side (no, I’m not pointing fingers. After all, I’m not logged constantly, and only know my own take on stuff :P) begins to act in a contrary fashion.

2.) As I’m sure you realize, Darxio, it is nigh-impossible for anyone to ride full-time herd on a group of folks with their own ideas on how to do things. I won’t get into the other Guilds’ issues, since I’m not in the heads of any Guild’s leader (besides mine), but it seems to me what we had here was kind of the GW2 equivalent of general Middle Eastern “ceasefire” setups. Namely, good idea, but between idea and execution, things break down horribly.

This of course, brings us to:
3.) Hey, man – it’s all fine. At this point, I’m of the opinion that anyone in our turf needs ejected from it, post-haste. See you lot on the battlefield.

Oh, those crosses that you ET guys carry around must get heavy. Please. Most of you posting here aren’t idiots and full-well know it’s not as one sided as you may think. That goes for both servers. But as long as we’re all still kittening about it, lets talk about the ‘alliance’ a moment:

A. An alliance was only going to work if more level heads prevailed when rogues went into borderlands and started changing colors. Why? Because there was no way that every member of each respective server was going to adhere to any sort of ‘alliance’. Official or otherwise. Some folks don’t give a kitten. Others might not know. And some, well, some just get caught up in the moment. That meant both sides would have to take a large gulp out of the cup of ignoring sporadic transgressions. Clearly, that’s not in our respective wheelhouses.

B. I’ve no horse in the so-called alliance that was offered. Not my idea. Nor was I invited to any discussions about it. Nor should have I been, frankly, because I would have laughed at it then as I do now. The moment you start bandying about words like ‘alliance’ in a medium that doesn’t allow for punishment of people who break it… what’s the point? Of course people are going to ignore it. It was a bad idea from the very beginning simply because when you put labels and promises to things people’s feelings are liable to get hurt.

C. Truly, both ET and Ferg would be doing one another a huge favor by leaving each other alone and dealing with SF. I’m just talking about the logic of the situation. Yes, we’ve been more competitive this week thus far, but we’re still like two little mongrel mutts fighting for the scraps left by the big dog. And maybe that’s all we are. Okay, but I prefer to think we’re capable of something a little more lofty. It would involve things called ‘temperance’. ‘Patience’. ‘Self-control’. It would take tossing that stupid group of FC in your borderlands and then not immediately going to Ferg for a reprisal. It would necessitate taking it to Sorrow’s Furnace and really getting this tier exciting instead of hitting one another like petulant children over kitten that really doesn’t matter.

D. Clearly, the things that we, as players, are capable of to make this tier less of a drag are not possible. Thus, it’s all a moot point. So lets just get back to throwing punches at one another while the guys over in SF run up the score. That’s what we’re good at, after all.

For the record, I’m not some patron saint of video gaming. I’ve gone over to ET and stormed the ramparts while they weren’t looking. And it was always after they had done the same to us. Which I’m sure they were mostly doing because Ferg had done it the night before. And so on and so forth. In the last few weeks, though, I just let it go. People in my guild have called to go over to ET and start flipping towers. I shoot it down. I know who I want to dedicate my time and energy into whipping, and it sure ain’t the guys in blue.

In any event, even if people read this and find it to be 99% bullkitten, that’s fine. But, for the love of everything holy, to those claiming that it’s mostly Ferg or ET to blame for the less-than-cordial relations, knock it off. It’s ignorant of what actually happened, and that’s the nice way to describe it.

Firstly who broke the pact is a matter of perspective. I was there at inception and saw it the other way around. I saw Krakrabbit extending an offering of mutual non aggression towards eachother and ET raiding our maps the same day it went into effect and beyond…

Secondly… All that kitten about “spitting on olive branches” and “reaping what you sow” is just an excuse to do what you want and bolster momentum. Politicans use this tactic quite often to manipulate the public into seeing things their way.

Facts are, everyone is becoming bitter over this stale and overly long matchup and its just so much easier to pick on a smaller target rather than fight “overwhelming odds”.

I just love how when ET finally took the lead…the fangs came out towards FC. Now that they have more people than FC it seems like they turned on them with some ferocity.

I’ve been at THREE separate backstabs by Ferg at the ET keep when we were red, when SF was already taking it. One before the alliance, one during its talks, and even the week we stopped caring.

Trust me, we LOVED the feeling of doing the same back to you guys. I even lead my own charge where we took your keep back from SF right as you guys broke in, and pushed you back to spawn. I asked in mapchat if we should do to ferg like they did to us and backstab their keep from them, and it was pretty unanimous among the vocal.

And I’d do it again, because I personally got fed up with the backstabbing. And I’m not talking about alliance backstabbing, I’m talking about Ferg picking at us while SF was already upon us. Them actions can be described with some words not fit for forums, but I myself would no longer ‘tolerate it’.

And I stopped caring the week before we became blue. I prioritize Fergs over SF any day now if they’re looking for a fight, because the sooner we break their cowardly will, the sooner we can get back to fighting the real enemy one-on-one.

Spare the rod, spoil the child. I ain’t sparing anything against Ferg now, they hamper our SF war efforts too much when they come around to bother us.

PS: I love me some trash talking. Take it personally to if you want to, I won’t complain.

I’ll say approximately one thing, RE: an ET accusing our guys of being “cowardly.”
Namely: Tell me, tell me true … what server frigging well hid while T8 was FC/ET/KAIN?
As one who was there for it, your lot bleeding well stayed quiet as mice in ET BL.
Us, we went to EB, hell we went to KAIN’s bloody doorstep. Now, then, Darxio; I do believe I need say nothing else …

Oh, you mean when I was still Kaineng? Yeah, I can’t comment on anything in ET’s history until after the War Machine mass transfer, when I left to look for another server and settled on ET after exploring IoJ and NSP. I don’t know of ET’s situation before I went there.

All I can say is that I’ve seen Ferg’s lame playstyle during the entire Dev/Ferg/Kain 8 week fiasco, and even when Chris Ivey was there keeping the borderlands in check and giving Ferg some good rep for stellar defense, you guys would try to gank our Garrison from us while we were dealing with Devona(And Devona would NEVER leave our BL. We had a big rivalry). And I used thief stealth capping to save our structures when you guys did that numerous times, with one particular garrison save when I staved off 2 omegas and an army of 30 in the lord room’s circle for 3 mins while our army mobilized to get there are wipe you. And they did.

I know your tactics from pure experience, Ferg. While Chris may not be leading you guys anymore, you didn’t change much at all.

I don’t know if it was SF lacking numbers the last few days (because boredom is a prevalent issue for many SF WvW’ers), or what, but yeah I don’t want to sink ratings again and be stuck here for another month or two if we can’t keep up the fights we’ve had.

^That pretty much sums it up, not that we are quitting WvW, we are pretty much leveling up alts, doing some dungeons, and getting some basics done.

I have no idea what you are talking about… >.>

Had some good fun in WvW with some of my guildies yesterday afternoon. We actually got a full team of us in WvW for once (amazing feat for a small PvE guild) and it was totally fun teaching them the basics. I’m hoping that they’ll join me in WvW more often.

Really?

LOL actually, we saw ET was taking Ferg’s keep and so we prolonged taking the other keep and dried out the supply just cuz we wanted to see what would happen and how long it would take ET to cap the other keep. I actually ran in with two or three other ppl to try and see the action first hand until someone from ferg ignored the fact that I wasn’t really interested in fighting and ended up getting about 7 of his guys killed by coming after us, and even more tied up outside of hills while ET was going for the keep lol

All I can say is that, this is WvWvW. I know we like to abbreviate it as WvW, but there are three servers and while it was cute to make an alliance and all – no one can blame an “opportunist”. Heck if I could’ve brought 10-15 ppl with me I would’ve tried to steal the cap from ET.

But seriously, I give ET a lot of respect for really working hard this past reset and even a few days before it. Keep it up, you guys are making it really interesting =)

I don’t post a lot on the official gw2 forums, but I do read them daily, I’ve been on ET since its creation, and keep pretty well connected with the goings on at ET. Like you said, it is a matter of perspective, so let me share mine. This might be a bit lengthy, but hopefully it gives better insight for everyone on the current situation.

When the NAP was originally proposed (poorly worded as a truce or alliance by some), ET was already mainly focused on SF as is. This was largely an attempt to try and stop FC aggression on ET while being hit by Sorrows. I don’t know what all 24/7 coverage is like, as I’m most active during NA Evening primetime, but there was a pattern of seemingly coordinated effort to stop ET’s very strong Friday reset turnout by FC and SF working together. There was a situation where I personally watched FC camp our spawn in Eternal while Sorrows took our keep right behind them, and after the cap both zergs went their separate ways. I heard several reports from different timezones and fights on other maps with similar situations, but most prevalent on Eternal Battlegrounds.

Now, being an “opportunist” isn’t a bad thing in a 3 team FFA, and I don’t mean to offend people by using the word, but I don’t feel like I have to, since what we were witnessing was less of being an opportunist and more of bad decision making for very, very short lived gains. Sorrows would steamroll FC shortly after ET was dealt with, making any sort of opportunist sort of mentality seem flawed, and Eternal would be permanently painted Green. I’m not saying everyone from ET completely laid off FC at this time either, for the most part though, our largest WvW guilds were attempting to deal with the real threat, SF, and almost always our forces were focused against them.

So, a commander from our server (ET) came to most the largest and influential WvW guilds. He brought up the idea of an official NAP. Every large WvW guild leader pretty much said, sure, we already focus Sorrows as a primary target anyway, doesn’t change our battle strategy/plans at all, really it would only help us. Does that mean that -everyone- would agree to it, or that we would contact every small WvW strikeforce/group? Of course not, but overall, Eradon Terrace has seen very, very rough times. That has more or less created a pretty stable friendship/network of communication amongst the largest long standing guilds on the server to discuss this sort of thing. We assumed Ferg had the same sort of atmosphere due to their situation being similar.

Problems happened obviously, and FC guilds apparently haven’t been growing friendlier with time like most of ours have. Apparently the person who brought up the NAP talked to the wrong guild leader on FC, because all the thread turned into was trashing of guilds and leaders (I won’t call out specific names of the FC players involved, if you dig up the thread or have been keeping up with this you’ll know). An increase in smaller groups from both FC and ET started attacking each others borders, mostly camp cappers, because of reasons like “lol truces are stupid!” sort of mentality.

Regardless, small strike forces still wouldn’t be a problem as long as the large guilds still focused on SF. On the FC side, from the very start a large WvW guild/playerbase were against the NAP, very against it. This seemingly increased large guild coordinated attacks on ET. The Final breaking point was the previous reset, when FC coordinated a very large effort to try and take over the entire ET Borderlands. Now you have no NAP, and increased hostility/reason for the players from both servers to attack each other despite SF being the serious threat.

We could try salvaging the NAP, but at this point with SF being so close to leaving the tier, I think everyone would agree that its best just to keep on doing what we always do, try and stay classy, and have fun killing each other. In all honesty, the drama seems to both have re-invigorated forces from FC and ET more than working together did. See you all on the field tonight.

Not sure why anyone would think that ET was a real threat before your recent transfers or Fergs departures….fact of the matter is that was ET’s first time even placing second place since the beginning of October. But if people want to believe that we conspired with FC against ET just makes me chuckle inside.

Alright, let me address Ungood:

TLDR version: I actually like and respect ET a lot, there’s no need for this propaganda crap. In general the server with greater numbers, coverage will rank higher and that’s the shift that is happening. There’s no need for the poor sportsmanship seen in Darxio’s posts.

Text wall version: (Knowing Ungood he will probably read it, which is one of the reasons I respect him and what I’ve seen from him in the forums so much.)

As you can tell, I do have an air of frustration against certain attitudes this week. My issue is NOT against Eredon Terrace as a whole, so I apologize for using the name “Eredon Terrace” interchangeably with Darxio and whoever else thinks like him. I admit that was a mistake of mine. Now, take a look at Darxio’s posts and you’ll see exactly why I’m bothered by certain mentalities. I couldn’t care less what tactics ET uses, because more often than not there is a counter to any given attack movement However, I don’t have patience for someone who’s going on about how apparently we’re a server full of backstabbers and attacking our server’s collective character.

Some members of Eredon Terrace can play victim all the want, but long before this little treaty was formed Eredon Terrace was attacking us pretty much daily while SF was attacking us simultaneously, and we simply didn’t have the resources to defend both attacks. That caused us to lose a lot of points to ET as we prioritized defense against SF, and frustration too but we didn’t whine and moan about Eredon Terrace like some soap opera star over here in the forums. If we complained, it was always about Sorrow’s Furnace being over-qualified for tier 8 and the need for ArenaNet to fix their system.

I hate to say it but facts are facts, every previous week Ferguson’s Crossing was blue team because we were as a server, significantly more powerful than Eredon Terrace. We had greater numbers and coverage than ET, so much so that we maintained those 20k leads while SF had 90% of its focus on us rather than ET. If the situation were reversed at the time, ET would of been even further behind in scores. Again, this sounds arrogant, but I saw the numbers differences first hand. So really, that treaty wasn’t even to Ferguson’s Crossing’s benefit at all, that some guilds agreed to it was a miracle in itself.

This is what the REALITY is: Now at this time we’re not as powerful as we used to be, which is the only reason why ET is now blue. That’s all there should be to it, sometimes a server is weaker, sometimes its stronger, and the strong will naturally take their place in the food chain/rankings regardless of strategies and shady attempts at forging alliances and pacts. Due to various factors, we are now weaker and ET is stronger than us at this time. This is not due to a change in Eredon Terrace’s strategies, nor is it due to some false-heroic propaganda crap like Darxio spits out of no longer abiding evil and overcoming it, after all ET was attacking our keeps and towers while SF hit us EVEN MORE OFTEN before it became blue team. This is simply the result of what happens when almost half of Ferguson’s hardcore WvW community gets sick and tired of putting job-hours just to maintain our little map control in an expensive and unrewarding environment and takes a break from seriously trying to recover our sanity.

Stronger, weaker, more numbers and coverage, less numbers and coverage. That’s all there is to it. Darxio’s attempts to invigorate ET morale by painting Ferguson’s Crossing as a villain as if we were some backstabbing server with a messed up agenda of making people’s WvW experience miserable are in a words, appalling. Despite the fact that ET has done this just as much to us as we have to them, I respect and love speaking to members of ET. The poor sportsmanship found in comments like Darxio’s are completely unwarranted, and I really hope they aren’t effecting ET perspectives of what Ferguson commanders and players are like. I don’t understand why people like him feel the need to make things so personal when we’re all trying to achieve the same thing, and that is to enjoy this portion of Guild Wars 2 as best we can. It’s already spectacularly difficult with the poor match-ups that this system is trying to stabilize, so let’s keep the cross-server drama out of it as best we can and save that zeal for requesting a fix to more pressing matters.

Also, if you want an example of a great Eredon Terrace political figure, take SniffyCube. He has not only fought for Eredon Terrace but Ferguson’s Crossing and Sorrow’s Furnace as well. Despite the fact that some on his server may not like him for apparently taking a break or whatever it was, he was fighting to balance things in the best way possible: on the forums taking it to ArenaNet himself. He’s tried constantly to make our concerns heard, he’s even proposed having our WvW communities merge into one of the two servers to make a more viable force, something I would love to do were it possible without losing people. He’s just in general a great and reasonable guy, and when have you ever seen him make a post like Darxio’s or that other fellow? I even find my own character lacking in comparison to his, and admire his efforts.

If anyone on Eredon Terrace is looking for a good role model of positive and valuable leadership, take SniffyCube’s example, and not Darxio’s. THAT is the high ground.

TLDR VERSION of below: FC has been in a uniquely stressful situation that would’ve brought down almost any server stuck in those circumstances, SF has tier 6+ numbers at their best, FC hardcore WvW’ers finally running low on energy, etc.

Also members of Eredon Terrace, with this “Atleast our morale is not low here” comment (also made by Darxio), I hope that you won’t look down on Ferguson’s Crossing as if we’re anything less than you for giving up. The huge difference is, your server fell in ranks. Ours didn’t fall, it started low and got sucked into the tier 8 void in ages past and has been locked in ever since.

This was not because we were weak. We’ve yielded high tier 7 numbers in the past, even having brief moments of causing queues in two maps. There were some balanced matchups, and then there was the reality of being stuck in tier 8 with Kaineng and Devona’s Rest who quickly both became tier 5 level in numbers and coverage while still stuck in tier 8. You can imagine what happened next, as an at best tier 7 server Fergs did what it had to do just to stay on the score board. Yes we played sides, played dirty while Kain and DR were at war, we were no match for Kain or DR. Why would we form direct alliance with either of them just to earn the wrath of either of them?

We fought tooth and nail for ages trying to escape this pit and reach the tier that we were best suited for, tier 7 while both Devona’s Rest and Kaineng got to step over us for months before moving out. We tried so hard, because we believed that was where we would find our most balanced match ups. The vast majority of our zeal was used in that period.

Then you had the time where Sorrow’s Fell down, and we had two weeks of good matches. There was a glimmer of hope, but it was quickly taken away from us. Quickly we realized, that we were in a situation where despite what flithyrat and Monoa claim, SF began to yield what I believe to be tier 6 numbers and coverage, and we yielded probably low tier 7 numbers, and ET was yielding even lower numbers, a situation where we’ll never get those exciting three-way races like tier 6 has had. SF had the numbers to dominate us and ET combined, and we had the numbers to significantly put ET down but do nothing to harm Sorrow’s Furnace. This became what is the third time for us knowing we will have to face the same opponent who is no longer properly tiered, for MONTHS more than we should. Despite that many of us put in job-levels of dedication into trying to make something work that deep down we know couldn’t work at all, and that’s not even our own fault.

As for Sorrow’s Furnace, not dominating us with 400k+ doesn’t mean you weren’t yielding tier 6 numbers. Think about it. If what I said about DR and Kain was true, then we of Ferguson’s had MONTHS of experience fighting tier 5+ level servers in various scenarios. When I say your numbers were tier 6+ when you first started pushing 300-350k+, its not some number I’ve pulled out of my rear. The reason you couldn’t pull 400k+ victories on us is not because I’m lying in saying you had tier 6+ numbers, its because we’ve garnered months of experience in being outnumbered so as to know pretty kitten well how to fight against superior servers and maintain a respectable score on the board. I think the same can be said for Eredon Terrace in its fall to this tier also. If you think HoD falling down would of been the same result, I beg to differ. And that’s the problem here in tier 8, whether or not you get a balanced match-up is all roll of the dice. People can only roll the dice and lose so many times before they quit gambling, and transfer or quit the game entirely.

It’s not worth the time or effort to try to reason with somebody like Darxio. Full-forward, blinders on. But if that’s the general attitude of ET, hey, it is what it is. It’s just funny that almost every time ET comes into Ferg full-force, SF always seems to start gobbling up your BL. And if that’s the exchange most of you are okay with, then hell, I’m not going to tell you it’s wrong. See ya out there.
