To the CORE duo of Guardian/Warrior yesterday, man you guys are thought to kill.

I had a random necromancer with me, which was kinda weak, but I usually can fight 1 vs 2 and win.

But you guys had really good reflect and abilities, and a lot of CC to pin me down and 100b me .

I died more then I usually do, and I would be happy to fight you guys again. I had my zerg hunting utility, so I had no CC breaker to counter your stun.

I won once, but that was a lucky 100nade combo.

Would be happy to try my luck again!

I don’t understand the outmanned buff, because I get it a lot, but then when I have it, I’ve seen my enemies have it as well at times.

It’s probably just a messed up system like culling, or the bugged queue times people have complained about.

I disagree about them hibernating all week. Clearly they don’t. However, it’s also clear they had considerably more out in the field last night than other nights. I also wouldn’t say AR took the night off either. I’d venture to say we had the numbers we normally do, but a lot of people got tired of bashing their head against a wall of red no matter they went and gave up and left.

Thursday night also will change the strategy too. During the week BP can make points by hitting NSP, but by Thursday night it really makes sense that they focus their efforts purely on us. Perhaps the AR commanders discussed this and anticipated it, but it doesn’t seem like we were really ready for that shift of focus. Even if we were, I don’t think we had the numbers anyways to maintain a hold in both EB and AR BL.

(I hear a tiny voice in my head saying “Now you know how NSP feels every night.”)

I think we just had more commanders, and good ones, than normal out in the field Thursday, tbh. At least this Thursday. I was running around AR BL with 12-15 people tops for most of the night.

The problem for AR is that they only existed in 2 zones – their BL and in EB. It’s pretty easy for us to focus solely on them. This also gives NSP a big opening to hit AR since now they have to fight against two servers instead of one. AR also consistently take the early leads and holds onto them for most of the week. Personally, I will always attack the server in the lead in any way I can. (If BP is in the lead, I don’t play much!). Being in the lead paints a huge target on your back.Thus AR is very vulnerable.

With persistence we were able to hold onto objectives in AR BL and keep stuff downgraded and the Hills keep’s supply bare. We threw all our forces at EB while a much smaller force distracted sizable amounts of AR in their BL – we had probably 20-30 AR attacking our sole tower possession in their zone at Lake Tower; meanwhile, we we’re hitting their Keep in EB with our main forces. We traded a tower for their entire corner in EB. After flipping everything in EB, and them trying to take their Keep back, our forces all came to their BL and we were able to take the Hills and hold it for the remainder of the night. Since their EB keep was wood, we were able to take that back too.

I can’t speak to how many numbers we had on – we may have very well had more people on due to the success we were having and the thrill of that last ditch push – but I think it could be fair to say that we did have some superior strategic positioning: We kept you on the defensive and forced you to split your forces. Through persistence, not numbers, we held many AR defenders in their own BL allowing us to have an advantage in EB.

All-in-all though, it was a lot of fun fighting it out last night. Tiring. But fun. This is how the game should be, and I greatly enjoy nights like these.

i didn’t mean to offend with this or say BP didn’t do anything all week. Ive had tons of fun fighting them and i think they are one of the best match ups we’ve had. I’m just frustrated that no matter how hard we try or take, 1 night( because of when reset occurs) just ruins our score setting us in 2nd place again and repeating this BP, NSP, AR cycle

Not to counter argument you, but each weeks since we have this match up, BP always did a come back 1-2 days before reset.

It’s always like that, even if we didn’t get the lead all week like right now. I doubt it has anything to do with a surprise tactical operation from NSP.

Seems like many commanders from BP are devoted and are doing night long shift to come back in score.

This has been an amazing week. I think NSP kinda surprised itself by how well it did. I know you surprised us, that’s for sure. AR, you guys stopped playing for second this week and actually went for first. Gratz. Sorry we had to stop you, but, you know, Borlis.

I fought some good duo-5 man from PAXA, TBAG, CORE and some others.

Heard about ENVY, but I only fought some random Envy and they were not anything special, but I’m sure they have some solid player. Heard about Skez or what ever too, but Only fought them when they were big numbers.

laughing and dancing over corpse are not server thing. Jkctmc say BP are worse then NSP, yet Bird Song just posted a screenshot of him spamming laugh over a corpse. and he is a commander, lacking any kind of sportmanship.

Respect come from skill, not server. I found out that the best fight I had where I lost, people didnt laught. And those that I won, many them they came back and /bow.

But when you get outnumbered, zerged, that when I find myself the victim of laught and dancing over corpse. They usually lack any kind of skill, and take their chance to dance over your corpse because they know they won’t be able to do it without their zerg.

But I personnaly don’t mind it. It motivate me to hunt the zerg, and kill them by surprise when they don’t watch their back. This kind of player usually die fast (usual GC thief).

We’re not really known to have guilds or groups running around solo, people just do it for fun I guess. Maybe that’s why you never see a challenge?

Here is your context and why you are incorrect.

That was Commander Hammerhorn coming back after trying to double team us in EB even though all logic would suggest AR would have been trying to get back into first place, instead of hitting us. To which we were also trebbing BP’s SM.

We crossed words, he ignored and continued. So we broke off attack from SM, and BP + NSP both rushed him (since we didn’t have enough people) .

It was so lol dude after he was so rude.
I can laugh at another Commander when they do something as stupid as that. And it wasn’t a 1vs zerg. It was a Zerg vs Zerg. That pic was taken after we rolled AR zerg, took all your towers + keep and decided to spawn camp and let BP take what they liked.

Like I said above, BP and NSP worked together. It was Hammerhorns fault AR lost all of EB. And he also strengthened some cross server friendships and burned more bridges with me and NSP players.

There’s nothing more satisfying than running around solo, getting hit by 3-x amount of people and either getting killed or escaping with them /laughing at you, only to find them later and ruin them. Those are about the only people I spam /laugh at. I can just imagine the nerd rage ensuing behind their monitors.

I personally never laugh at any opponent, regardless of how good or bad they may be. Regardless of things posted on forums, I remain respectful on the battlefield. I guess it is just a matter of character. To the players I have fought recently, I apologize for not being at the top of my game. Been distracted by my new hammer warr and the real world. I will be back in form, just haven’t played as much as usual.

I only /emote when it’s a fair fight (or unfair against me) AR Cracks me up too… I rush their Treb emplacement in AR BL solo this morning at the mill: kite around 2 people and kill them both; Rush a Treb, kill the operator; kite 7 people back to Hills before they finally catch me; And then they dance on my corpse.

I think I deserve to give them a couple friendly /emotes back when I continuously destroy them despite the odds

Not to mention I just posted a long video of me fighting small scale battles, against the odds, all against AR. So it’s not like it doesn’t happen the other way around.

In short, get over it. WvW happened.

My guild tags were FGM. though last week we decided to join GOAT so that when we get the desire to play with large number that are organized we have the ability to do so.

My main is a Charr Mesmer that is now currently running with a Pink greatsword. If you ever want a 1vs1 i can meet you with my mesmer/ranger/warrior (though the warrior is traited for group support, and fails at 1vs1s will still try it). Account name is to the left and memser name is Shieldhog.

To be honest shiverpeaks has tossed a ram on my body at least 4 times this past week. And me downing a person in a large group happens all the time. Then if they catch me they all ./sit and ./lol all the time. I just laugh as i know in the 1vs 3-8 we were equal in kills. And Anvil Rock does it just as much. Just as i have seen groups on BP do it to solo players as well.

My post was just pointing out that you have little kids on all servers so get off your high horse. And thanks.

So I duel Wala “a Warrior” where I’ve been dueling dozens of NSP all week, and out of the blue, when I’m about to down him, a group of BP shows up, downing me. I’m supposed to believe that after 12 hours of dueling NSP there, no one ever showing up, it was pure chance the BP group showed up to finish me off.

At some point in time: Everyone zergs, everyone gets zerged.

Trying to generalize entire servers based on the behavior of a few is fail. Every server has their jerks, their nubs, their pros, and the really nice people.

Anyways, nice week, I missed most of it due to having to work out of town since last sunday, but got in some playtime last night. Some fun 1v1s, some 1v1s that ended in both of us getting faced stomped by the adds from the third server.

I play a support warrior too and I’ve actually been finding it more enjoyable roaming solo than my mesmer (partially because perma swiftness is orgasmic). Just have to change a trait or 2 as well as utilities and it’s rather good for 1v1s. Although some 1v1s I just avoid because it will last until some reinforcements come from either side… still quite good considering I’m built for a group setting.

In all fairness, I too went there to duel wala, I killed the lurker bps there ( more then 1 ). Then we had a clean duel. I won but I have nothing but respect for wala afterwards.

This is why I avoid most Warriors, and Guardians on my Guardian. The fights can’t end, unless something goes wrong on either end. Usually ends up being one person on one side or the other getting rolled by a group.

I tend to sit if the fight is even when I come upon it, and watch.

He was there because I chose the destination. Been dueling there for months, and no BP, or any interruptions have ever showed up. Ask Osif, and other PAXA, it is where I’ve dueled them, along with other NSP like BC, TCMM, and so on.

Um no, AR zergs more than anything else! Maybe you should play yourself! Never seem to see anything but huge numbers of waves from AR, particularly ALS and interestingly enough SoS. I run with whoever is on, be it 3 or 23, and I do run around alot solo but never seem to find anything but numbers.

I didn’t know /laughing was rude or disrespectful. I always did a /laugh when I did something funny or my opponent did. I will refrain from using the emote from now on. My apologies.

Also, I’m an old school DAoC with a splash of GW2 so if you wish to duel me a simple /bow will do. I’ll do my best to accomodate your request (if I notice it) but can’t speak for others if they jump in. I will also run in zergs, sometimes interrupt 1v1’s (unless I can clearly see it’s a duel) and mow down solo’s with multiples because lets face it…it’s WvW. I don’t mind if it happens to me because I expect it.

I don’t boast @ being the best of my class (or server) and actually think I pretty much suck at this game. That being said, you can imagine how I feel when I actually win a fight. If you’re one of the great fighters depicted here on the forums and lose a 1v1 to me…don’t worry it was probably due to your consumables running out, me being lucky, lag, you not feeling well, or simply that I had the edge. I assure you it will not happen often.

Who are your soloers? I solo pretty much 2 hours a night. I can name probably a dozen NSP who run solo, and have only seen one Thief from BP solo. From my experience, BP zergs more than anything else.

No one said AR doesn’t have zergs. AR also has a lot of solo players, many of those Rangers surprisingly enough, and there is a guild dedicated to running in pairs. I run primarily solo, so I see who is solo, and who is not from both BP, and NSP. I see the small groups, and the groups, and also the zergs.

I’ve seen BP maybe one group, a couple trios, but NSP has so many small groups, duos, and solos, it is night and day difference.

You’ll know if you see me that I want a one vs one. I’m the kitten jumping, saluting, beckoning, bowing, until eventually the group/zerg chases me off, or one or two comes to engage me alone.

I don’t really care much for that whisper/party chat for dueling so I normally ignore it. It’s in the game though so I guess it’s probably the best method to find a 1v1.

I’ll be honest…I don’t like fighting SoS. Most people I fight from that guild is really good and I’m always certain to lose. However, I try anyways so that I can learn. Just last night I kept throwing myself to Envy just to see what kind of damage I was doing and how certain combos worked. It was not a pretty sight.

Borlis Pass cracks me up.. Trying a new build on one of my characters, and every fight is either 2v1, 3v1, or 10+v1. They laugh, or goad as if they’ve done something. That’s one thing I respect from NSP is that they always challenge people to 1v1s, and we always show each other respect. Borlis Pass never runs solo, and they never show respect.

Seriously guys, it is a game. Enjoy it without trying to ruin everyone elses fun.

i play in a 4-5 man guild on BP. Most nites we have 2-3 on and alot of time i go out solo. If you are solo expect to have 1vs2 1 vs 3 fights. AR and Shiver have never ever let me duel when it was 1 vs more than 1. So get of your high horse and either l2play or get friends. People play the same way no matter what server you come from.

laughing and dancing over corpse are not server thing. Jkctmc say BP are worse then NSP, yet Bird Song just posted a screenshot of him spamming laugh over a corpse. and he is a commander, lacking any kind of sportmanship.

That was Commander Hammerhorn coming back after trying to double team us in EB even though all logic would suggest AR would have been trying to get back into first place, instead of hitting us. To which we were also trebbing BP’s SM.

We crossed words, he ignored and continued. So we broke off attack from SM, and BP + NSP both rushed him (since we didn’t have enough people) .

It was so lol dude after he was so rude.
I can laugh at another Commander when they do something as stupid as that. And it wasn’t a 1vs zerg. It was a Zerg vs Zerg. That pic was taken after we rolled AR zerg, took all your towers + keep and decided to spawn camp and let BP take what they liked.

Like I said above, BP and NSP worked together. It was Hammerhorns fault AR lost all of EB. And he also strengthened some cross server friendships and burned more bridges with me and NSP players.

The amount of incorrect and false claims here is staggering keep spewing your crap as you lost all of NSP border minus bay and then everything in EB minus your garrison , the photo of the wipe you posted was only about 10 of us at that point all pug holding back NSP and BP at that hole. Took awhile for me to get some people together but hey after we did we added SM just because we could …. I like how you didn’t add that you kept spamming my group to join my party and you started to spam me with tells until I had to put you on ignore. Enjoy 3rd place again and cya at reset : )

Check my screenshots. I asked them to stop. I was already at this “special place that no one knows about” because I was already doing some other duels. There were a bunch of BP in the area, as Obsessïon stated. I’ve had plenty of fights interrupted down there before, this wasn’t my first rodeo.

While I can’t speak for other BP players/guilds. But for me, it depends on the time. Prime time PST is spent running with the guild. However, 11ish onwards PST is usually spent running my Necro with a Ranger buddy in EB or perhaps one of the other lands. (sometimes we pick up a few and run a 3-5 man). Late late night if I stay up is me solo. I get roflstomped by greater numbers late at night all the time, /shrug thats just how it goes.

As for providing you with a list of names of people who run solo, again, I think it depends on the time of night and the mood of the player.

Personaly I would like to see more small group action (ex-Mid MLF DOAC player), fight clubs etc. The only fight clubs I have seen in this matchup have always been smashed by people unwilling to let others “do their own thing”.
