Here’s a video from GoM BL last night, started recording like half way through the battles, missed the bigger fights with FC, they gave up/left around the time I started recording.
Note I fight till I die, so unlike other vid’s you’ll see a lot of me dying cause I prefer uncut then videos with their death cut out

Loving the match up so far. Great fights against both FC and GoM. So much more competitive than when SF was here.

I have a feeling GoM has a bigger weekday force than ET and FC so I imagine the 2 servers should focus GoM down for 1st and 2nd. We’ll see how it goes

GoM is definitely starting to get serious… But since Agg decided to take over GoM BL, I just kept chilling around on Fergland… Thanks to outmanned, I can die without fear of the Bill…

If anyone wants to duel me from GoM send me a tell I’m always up for a duel. We usually duels at a windmill and its easiest in ET’s BL since we are both close to the windmill. Also if anyone from ET wants a duel we can meet at the GoM windmill.

o speaking of duels SS is now up for up to 5v5 duels! Ofc I’d still prefer our traditionall 2v2 but anything between 1 and 5 is good.

Well, I’m not really getting why Gilkin is leaving… By the way he’s talking, it’s like ET turned unto the new SF… I didn’t see the 70man zerg he mentioned, unless he’s talking about Agg and FoE offensives (which I tend to avoid for personal reasons)…

But if the game will be more fun for him at FC, I can just wish him good luck because I have nothing against him, except that since his name will become “Ferguson Crossing Invader” he’ll be attacked on sight.

I feel bad for all the tension between the old T8 servers, but I really want to see you guys out of there soon. We had our ups and downs…and a ton of people probably hate me but I feel like our hellish experience down there has brought out the worst possible out in all the tiers…even the way we treated our own in the pits.

But after all that we finally got our wish and are in better match ups. I just hope when ET comes up here we can both put the screws to HoD and get FC up here too.

P.S. T7 said you guys were no match for them so FC when i see a score update of GoM bl i just hope to see some RED camps up there mixed in with the blue.

Why don’t you read the whole post before you respond, there was some noob on GoM trying to say they took out level 80’s on a level 24. So he destroyed them and you try to insult him for that. Tell the noobs of OLD T7 to try not to brag to much and just get used to being in T8

ET/FC should probably be careful of GoM. Its hard to say when, though. GoM never did well coming out of reset and the weekend but usually stay consistent through the week. If they also bounce back from the low morale it seems like they’ve been suffering and the fact that they love their variety (PvE patches make a distinct hit to GoM’s WvW crew, and I suspect theres a lot of them scrambling to ensure they get their super skins), they can be a real threat. NSP learnt that the first week they came down, where they had a 20-30k point lead on GoM going into Wednesday night/Thursday morning to GoM pushing them out of EB and painting their BL two nights in a row to win the week.

Hopefully A.net updates the rating thread so we know where SF/ET/FC are really at this week, hopefully its in a place where we might see movement between the tiers to keep things fresh.

What Kurath said. GoM was a huge contender prior to HoD’s boost in numbers. This past week – I’m guessing from low morale and because of the Super Adventure Box – they didn’t make much of a showing, but I suspect they can pull their weight once again when they get used to not seeing Henge or Northern everywhere.

I hope so too! It’s been a lot of fun each night. GoM has really surprised me with how well coordinated their smaller groups can be, they hit multiple targets at once making it much harder to defend against than the large zergs we’re used to dealing with. Still adapting to their playstyle, but I’m liking it a lot! If this is what T7 is like, I think it would be a lot of fun to play against the other servers there too.

Even if we were to get dropped down again I’m sure we have a lot to learn from each others tactics, since we’ve all been stuck in the same matchups for so long it seems we’ve all adopted different tactics, and the change has really made WvW more exciting than ever!

Okay so running 70 v 30 is the suck and exactly what I had hoped to avoid. Unfortunately, that is unlikely now. It is too easy to look great when you don’t have to do anything really spectacular to win.

To me transfer wins to “SF” our opponents is the bore. My questions is would FC or GoM; depending on who turns out the worse of the two servers after a week or two welcome a commander from ET? I do have an unorthodox style and like to use caps while leading so people know what to do (lets face it not everyone uses TS). Anyway let me know as I wouldn’t want to come over and cause issues.

You could always break out into another map with TAC, we were middle or last in points per tic for awhile today, and from my play hours at least it always seems like there’s more maps we could break into and you’re a commander that can lead it! The matchup is far from a blowout like SF. If you’re tired of being on this server that’s ok, but I really don’t get why, or why you think we’re anything remotely like SF, you seem to have been in panic mode the second you heard transfers happened (which they needed to happen because of how terribly outmanned both FC and ET were, unfortunately FC did get a guild that just went there for a “vacation” though).

If you leave, it was always fun fighting alongside you Gilkin, but don’t compare us to SF when we’re far from having the coverage they have and you know it. I think most people are happy that after 4-5 months or so of being in dead last WvW, we’re actually now, finally, second to dead last xD maybe 3rd to dead last next week if GoM doesn’t gain more momentum, they’re really adapting to our playstyle and stepping up their score!.

I’m pretty sure any server you would transfer to would have equal or greater playerbase than ours, just possibly with different primetimes and playstyles. Considering most higher tier players move to lower tiers though, I think we’re probably in a good place to be fun-wise when it comes to WvW.

Unfortunately, you failed to see the point, Rat of Filth. I don’t think forums are a mean to brag about your every kill and call the other servers names. That is not how you make a name for you or your guild, it’s not the way to build a fun community to play in.

But I guess every person/guild has its own style. You like to brag/provoke on the forums? Go on. I like to have a good laugh about it ;-)

GoM should get moved to an australlian server or something so their 70+ night time zerg can actually face something instead of capping every empty tower/keep while everyone is asleep :P

I’ve been enjoying running around with my Engineer on WvW…

To the GoM Female Sylvari Necro that tried to finish me 3 times (and I’ve ended dying to damage): Just dps an Engineer to death… They are annoying as hell at the ground.

To the Ferguson Crossing Male Charr Ranger Upleveled: Next time, I’ll just finish you off right away… It wasn’t fun to discover that the ranger pet now is invulnerable when it’s healing with downed #3.

GoM still growing, but I dont mind as long it doesn’t get as big as SF (which I doubt, as SF is clearly showing they are bigger than anyone at T7)… Bring it on!

After a very long morning and night of wvw, i gotta say today has been a good day for GoM. looks like people are finally showing up for the fights and lots of coordination all around. One thing T8 can ask our T7 brethren, is GoM ALWAYS comes back. we don’t start strong, but we finish strong. Anyways, shout out to my usual EB group i love dominating with you guys as always, and the small teams that helped out in BL when our camps were in trouble. ESPECIALLY a shout out to the Human fem Guardian with twilight from [yarr] i believe. some really tight duels, very lengthy and alot of fun.
Score Update:

That’s the YARR captain, Silver Onyx. He’s pretty new to Guardian but starting to get the ropes! Hoping that more people will continue to duel him until he becomes unstoppable like his warrior.

I quite amazed how 1 little post can turn into a flame war. Earlier you said that you should read all the posts before posting, i believe you should take your own advise. I only stated that i was killing ET and FC 80s, which to some degree i am, because some FC decided to try and gloat that he was killing our green arrows. From what i can see the poster runs in an organized five man so killing a group of green arrows isnt much of accomplishment.

You’d be surprised how powerful a low level toon can be. If you get full masterwork gear/rare at higher levels and then get the runes and sigls you get some nice stats going. At one point i had 1700 condition damage, 2500 armor and 22k hp.

Hey, I’m down with small groups (even party-sized!). Next time I see you, I’m down with joining a Gilkin-led party. I agree that it sucks sometimes that we have all of our eggs in one basket (zerg), and would love to see some smaller groups running around getting things done too. Multi-caps keep the enemy guessing AND split up.

Level 24’s cannot defeat level 80’s regardless. I was trying to dispute HIS bragging because of how easily just myself could defeat him.

Mariogeddon was a big reason we went to third in T7 and then down to T8 by dev-ine intervention ( yeah glicko ghetto w/e). Now that most people have their skins or are bored with it youll see our numbers coming back.
