And I’m around 15k kills atm, so I consider it reasonable.

And btw, sPvP titles are not handed out like candy. Sure Gladiator/Champion Slayer are like “Welcome to sPvP/tPvP, take this title”, but +Ransaker takes some serious time. And that’s fine with me.

Some intermediate titles for the Ultimate Dominator, and all the other WvW titles would be really nice tho.

PvP titles take considerable less time to get than WvW titles. One could argue before the April 2014 patch, it took longer, however you can reach r80 in a few months now with casual play.

WvW titles definitely need to be looked at. The only one that is somewhat achievable is Ultimate Dominator.

I agree that those wvw titles should be redefined. Mainly because there are different server populations. For instance, my server is not great (currently tier 4). Depending on the week match I can take like 1h to kill 10 players so how can I possible kill 250,000? For small servers wvw ultimate titles are impossible.

currently I have to admit that there is only one wvw-related title I have earned by now and it Veteran of the mists (reward for meta achiev of first WvW tournament ever)

Don’t worry, WvW Developers commented on WvW Achievement more than a year ago and confirmed to change the achievements in future, so there, give or take few years and maybe by the third expansion of GW2 we’ll have realistic WvW achievements.

They expect us to play this for 25years to have a go on these titles. Only “reasonable” one is the 250k kills, rest is just way out of control.

8-9 Months ago Devon Arrowcarter commented on a wvw post on this saying the achievements are a bit out of touch and they are looking into it to possibly come with a fix.

The daily AP system has been revamped for lke 3 times now and its that hard to get rid of 1-2 zeros on WvW achievements?? Really lame Anet, really lame.

I believe you should have to spend a fair amount of time in WvW to earn the titles, but after seeing some of the math I am not willing to spend 10+ years in WvW. I do have to work, eat, and sleep, ya know?

Dominator and Yakslapper are achievable. I know people who have gotten them. The one that makes me laugh is the SMC caps title (Ultimate Liberator). 25 thousand SMC caps. I think I have around 800 from 2 years of playing. I can never see myself capping it 25k times before the game’s lifespan is over.

Ultimate Defender is pretty hilarious too. Defend SMC 500,000 times. Since defense runs on 3 minute cycles, and you are only awarded one successful defense every 3 minutes, that means that you would have to spend 1.5 million minutes, or 25,000 hours, or ~1042 days of your life (close to 3 years) only defending SMC nonstop. LOL

Yeah, these are rediculous… still. PvP is too but not overly so but maybe because it’s not open-house like having to win matches for it to count.

And of course some of the WvW ones are affected by how dedicated your ‘server’ is to WvW. If yours is really good at keeping WvW; then you might actually lose out in the long run. I mean you can’t get yakslapper if yours owns every camp in every zone but you need to have them to succesfully escort them so there’s some mutual exclusivity there. You have one AP to defend SMC but there’s also one for capturing it. And finally we have one for 1million objective captures and three others for defending camps, keeps and towers.

The Edge of the Mists sets is at least a little more reasonable and you get matched up with multiple servers of the same colour and the APs are a little more reasonable to get: spent 200 supply on generators, 3 generators at each point, 7 solo runs to get it, maybe a little longer if the zergs stick around to help build them. Potentially 100 times if you only get to spend 2 on one so no more than three months to get it.

It’s similar to how the first tournament launched with almost a literal copy of WvW APs; you’d have to play it constantly to get them to qualify for the season reward. Last tournament they had a few token APs that were much easier to obtain and your reward was determined by server progress anyway.

I call a bull and a kitten together on this. Simple math: if you kill 10 yaks/5m, it will take you 6 months non-stop 24/7h play and you will only be at 518k. So you need 20yaks/5m 24/7 for 6 months to get this. Even if you are super determined you still need to sleep/eat and you can’t always rely on the camps not to be taken/yaks not to be killed before you reach them.

No Devon later said it was “more complicated” to fix; funny how they can set it for PvE every 2 weeks but 2 years later all WvW has got is season achievements but nothing done about these. One would think they dont give a kitten about WvW, nah I must be crazy to think that.

Though I guess working on an expansion is more complicated, so he wasnt lying.

But what I like about this post is that it’s a necro post. And even though Mike threatened us with a hidden sticky, note that the WvW forum was still the only forum to get that sticky about necro posts!; but now it’s not there so we can necro them again! Until they add the sticky again.

I’ve only ever seen 2 players with WvW titles; both of which were “Ultimate Dominator”s.

The requirements for these titles though is just unimaginable. One. million. Repairs… For Ultimate Technitian? Or is it 250,000? Honestly can’t remember. But it’s ridiculous.

PvP titles were reachable but they made it crazy easy reachable.
Also, PvP titles come with unique things like finishers unlike the WvW titles.

If PvP reachable titles were made even easier to reach, I’m sure one day unreachable WvW titles will be easier to reach too!

Ultimate Dom is possible. A lot of people already have theirs. Hell, Indo got his 2 years ago. Most of them are either in highly skilled guilds or play a lot.

Ultimate dominator is pretty reachable. I know a few people with that title. It’s also pretty possible to get 200-500 kills a night if you focus on WvW alone. Some get upwards of 1k kills a night pretty consistently. I myself have around 60k kills, around 35-40k of which were obtained in the past 4-5 months as I moved away from roaming into zerging to work on UD title

I dont know about you but the kill title is relatively easy with a decent havok squad wipe 50 man zerg get 30 kill tags out of that wipe and woot kills for a day do that 5 times a day and your looking at 0.1% of your title…. wait alright a little over the top but still a heavy player will get it in about a year the rest of the titles lol not even close to worth it

They did WvWvW titles abit to hard so every other title is easy. Even do i Think i am Closes on repiar.

Why did someone revive this thread? Also there are 10+ people that have Ultimate Dominator. Sacrx for example made 6-7k kills in a day when RG was still rolling. Yakslapper is impossibruh and so is everything else, but Ultimate Dominator is easy as balls to get.

It is the only “reasonable” to get. Reviving this thread just shows the lack of dealing with it however the daily AP system gets overhauled for like 3 times and LS achievs are being pulled out every 2 weeks with ease. This is a good necro imo.

I’m getting closer and closer to these titles…

I will give this account to my grandson (note: my son/daughter isn’t even born) and finally my account would have a wvw title… So it’s a matter of patience.

But thumbs up ANET you made titles where the only thing you have to do is facerolling some AI coordinated byte-body enemy…

I think a 100000 Great Jungle Wurm Kill for a title would be sufficient…

Yakslapper sounds very impressive, that’s five dollies a minute for five months, or one dolly a minute since Wintersday 2012. I’m still at a moderate 954 slaps…

What really makes me laugh, though, is the Ultimate Stalwart achievement – defend half a million supply camps. Half a million. I have 16.000 achievement points, 4.100 hours, and WvW rank 1.650 in the game, and I’ve this far defended 34 camps in total. This will take many, many generations, not to mention evolutions…

give it up. if they had any intention of changing this, the years the game had should have been enough for it.
