what’s funny here, is to see how much we were when we all forced to go to the LA before the update of the game… not even 30 players on 4 maps and we were able to deff against at least twice our numbers.

these 30 playesr ( more or less) are almost always there to play at night, this haven’t changed, so plz … have fun :p

A number of WvW guilds, including my own, have agreed not to participate in this WvW week. We believe BT can achieve 1st place without us, and we don’t want to be associated with xenophobic trolling of French servers.

After this week is over and PS2 comes out, we will review if the situation has changed for the better in WvW and consider our options regarding BT.

I can’t wait for Arbor to move up so we can fight both Vizunah Square and Arborstone. Should be some truly excellent fights as Arborstone has some very strong WvW guilds, as far as I know.

For now, Fractals of the Mists call. Reset on Friday should be some awesome action.

I just hope that Anet will do something about player transfers. It is already annoying that many guilds transfer to here (blacktide).

Nah, I have no doubt that Xaoc alone will keep us in the top spot – the points are not my focus at all. I just look forward to the excellent fights we’ll be having. You guys better bring it all, we’ll look forward to it.

There is a big chanse that alot of good EU WvW guilds go to Blacktide, you guys will be a powerhouse for a very very long time.

I also think that WvW will not remain popular for very long from this moment on.
Anet made a new tier set, look at the forums and the rage (me included)
Tomorow half our guilds makes a move to Planetside 2 and hope to find a action packed mmo.

On USA there are many super servers, in EU we got 1 and that is you Backtide, you not only got Xaoc but also Nugos and many more ferocious WvW guilds.

The inbalance between tier 1 in EU is a joke
That does not mean you guys dint fought hard or was given a free ride to #1, i heared epic stories about your battles between other servers.
Ive seen movies of you guys running rampage, and i have fought against you on the battlefield.

But its still lame there is such a big gap now between servers in EU.
My guts tell me that it wont take long before most WvW guilds are going to move to other games, specialy with the route Anet has taken with gear progresion.

USA ladder is a totaly diffrent story tough, i am willing to bet that it is crossing your minds to to move to a USA server to make your name over the pond as you will get bored with no oposition real quick

No need to beat the dead horse to death again, this won’t happen.

What is more likely to happen is slow death of both server, lets be honest T1 matchup is boring. We play because we have fun but scoring system make matchup boring and will lead to many players leaving (this and the new gear progression system).

So we will still fight but ANet is definitely not helping WvW with the latest changes, population is already dropping (we almost never have queue time now on VS).

Just forget it, I really wish that an alliannce between these two servers can work, but must read forums ( jol, gw2fr… ) to see it’s impossible. It didn’t last 24 hrs in the first place to think of remake one.

Last time we try a AS/VS alliance.. well.. broken 2 minute after the reset ..

To many old Daoc resentment, misplaced pride… a new alliance btw the 2 french serv is impossible atm.

Actualy i had Outnumbered on all maps except EB. But if u wanna feel better that you faced gigantic army with just 30 ppl, im not gona try to proove othervise :P

What was said actually, in a joke RP post of all things, was that Ruin wanted to stop the French from monopolising Tier 1.
At the time, when that joke RP post was made, hardly anyone, apart from players on the two French servers it was made about, had any objection at all to what was said in it.
Now everyone has their little panties in a bunch over Ruin, and suddenly a post made in jest that was fine previously, makes all of Ruin xenophobic? give me a break.
From the first minute of the first day that Ruin transferred over, EU players made some very xenophobic comments, and posts, and threads, about US guilds, and Ruin in particular, playing in this ladder, but thats all fine isnt it.

I played on Desolation from the start, was in WvW pretty much every minute I was in game, and when Ruin came over, I joined them as they were doing a good job in WvW, and they were trying to work well with existing guilds, like IRON.
Deny it all you want, but Desolation has a lot of unguilded players, and little guilds, that were not, and do not, pull their weight in WvW, but still wanted the glory from winning.
I saw a lot of these people in map or team chat, spout crap like “why bother, Ruin will nightcap everything and we will win anyway”, and you wonder why Ruin left and went to a server that has enough coverage already, so Ruin do not have to carry the server?

Ah well, at least now Im done with Desolation, done with this WvWvW, maybe done with this game.

Curious to see what the next week will be like! Due to RL i’ll sadly enough miss the reset and probably won’t be on until sunday though

Next week can’t come soon enough.. let t1 do the server hopping garbage and stack guilds on whichever is server of the month to ‘win’ .. I just want to be able to play wvw again without it feeling pointless

We were around a bit last night – we had an excellent fight taking back Garrison from water gate on BT Borderlands around ~11PM CET. A fairly long door melee to get it down, a portal to get us into position and a long, hard-fought battle for the lord room where we managed to win in the end.

Thanks a lot to the VS guys who provided an excellent fight there. The siege and defending was all top-notch, we just came out ahead this time.

As for fighting, I think you will find us very, very active come reset. Many of us are itching to fight Arborstone (Sacrx and Cyril in particular, as far as I know) and will be fighting many, many hours come weekend. I’m sure we’ll see you all there.

Well in fact your RP post, was used to justified the french try of alliance in french forum. But some ppl quoting your post, quote only the “interesting” passage and not the “RP/Meta game” part of your post…

Anyway, most of the ppl cry ( like me !! ) because US ppl inc in EU ladder and not because you say 2/3 thing against the french player

I’m a VS player, and i want go in T2!
BT have a lot of good guild (thanks free migration) with a large time-zone.
But a serveur with tag FR SP or DE don’t interressing a other region to come in (tag EU is the must).
Nobody want fight BT, Iron on Desolation want T2, a lot of player VS want T2, Elona don’t want come on T1 why, because BT are the best with a large time-zone, a lot of good guild, and play very good zerg (i hate zerg, i love real fight 15vs15, fight with GF or Nug when they are on FS server, roaming group, not 100 zombie player vs doors)
No challenge No-match No game pleasure for a week
If BT want challenge, go on a international server with large time-zone^^
BT is the best, it’s my conclusion.

Desolation player here, been on holiday an came on to see whats happened to our points (few random guesses, an we have form in dropping/rising fast) but i can speak for all folk in saying that VZ is the best EU server by far. Consistantly T1. Of course [fr] has a big population, same as [gr](X million), plus [ru/satellites](XX million). Give or take gaming community size.

cba with been online for 12+ hours to play a game tbh, if thats what it takes to compete with servers with better GMT coverage an population sizes (plus the odd well grilled RG-type guilds) then i’m happy playing non-T1. Let them have the rats.

Twice, it’s a bad joke.
More… well, it’s xenophobia hiding behind stupid joke.

However, beside a stupid nation to nation trash talk what people really hates from you is the fact that you were, actually, hypocrite when you claim coming on the EU ladder to look for a better challenge while you well known that you’ll face only doors once the couple of nightly players would have give up with fighting against your zerg.

So far, you proved your skill vs doors and that A-net WvW scoring is pointless. But when challenge really came with Blacktide, the smartest of you left while the others move to BT. And you’re still here ? Instead of arguing uselessly, you should be hiding yourself.

The only thing you’ve ruined is Desolation.

With the patch a lot of supportive abilities that worked for more then 5 players were changed to cap at 5 players. To match the aoe cap of 5 players and the other support skills that already had a 5 player cap aswell (Timewarp, Shadow refuge,etcetc)

To say that people on Deso did not pull their weight is a insult. Deso players fought every day against 2 servers, fighting for every point they had. They didnt have the luxury of outnumbering the enemy and running around the maps as they wished. They pulled their weight every day.

Since RUIN went to deso, they only had to try and pull their weight twice, the first time was when VS organised a night force and they steam rolled you. The second was when BT entered T1, and rather than fight them they run away.

Coming from a guild that only plays for easy wins, and fails at every challenge, thats just a joke…….
