Yes, and possibly a siege masters guide and some karma. Also a WvW specific monthly with the chance to drop superior siege.

But leave out the ‘Supply used’ one. People are already experiencing siege cap griefing, would hate to see people dropping in to build flame rams near spawn.

Supply used for repairing should give reward as well.
Not just for ‘supply taken’

I like this idea, there should be more valid ways to earn badges than jumping puzzles and zerging.

- Invader kills
- Complete X offensive events (destroying weather nodes and capture temple of storms counts, in case of heavy server imbalance)
- Complete Y defensive events (building weather nodes and “kill <mobname> veteran” counts, in case of heavy server imbalance)

Nice to see positive feedback on this,

As for what objectives to set for it i guess keeping those suggestions coming in is a solid base to start from.
For the daily i’d say to keep those fairly casual, maybe for the monthly have a harder achievement in it like flipping stonemist once or so.

And yea it would add another way to get some badges along the way to play wvwvw which a lot of people feel has a slow gain to it.

I wouldn’t want to see supply used/taken or siege built as part of daily. it would lead to wasted resources and problems with the siege cap. People who just want the daily and aren’t interested in wvwvw would justspam build useless siege, and take supply from keeps where it’s needed.

I would however support “escort x doyleks”, defend/capture x points. Dailies should be things achievable solo.

Monthlies should be take/defend x keeps, as well as participate in x events in all 4 maps.

SWTOR had dailies like this and it caused a lot of problems depending on server population. You want to just walk in and win 3 matches in 30 minutes, but then it turns into a two hour adventure.

Also, it caused serious problems with people just coming in, finishing daily, and then bailing. In Ilum (open world PvP map that lasted like a month) you had constant see-saws on the main cap. It would be 40v40, but then people finish dailies, leave, and then it turns into 20v40 and vice versa all day.

People weren’t doing it for the PvP, they were just doing it for the free gear. Also, can you imagine the people complaining how their server sucks cause they can’t get their 50 kills in a day?

This would be amazing as I normally try to complete the daily with just WvW (but usually fall short on the creatures to kill so I’m forced to go elsewhere). However, this might prove problematic for servers that took over everything on all borderlands/EB.

Agreed. Badges are sometimes pretty hard to come by even for devoted WvWvW players. Giving something like 5 silver, 10 badges and a possibility to win a random blueprint per daily achievement would be a really nice addition to the gameplay. I am all for it!

As for daily WvWvW achievement conditions I would personally set something like 10 invader kills, 3 camps/outposts/keeps defended or captured and 30 supplies taken from supply camps and NOT from any of the outposts/keeps. Why this? Well too many people simply take supplies from outposts/keeps and are too lazy to tag along to the nearest supply camps effectively crippling defense capabilities of those outposts/keeps. The fact that the requirement says 30 supplies also means that the players would also need to use them

A good idea and a nice way to promote WvW activity.

I would like to suggest that it should take some time to achieve the requirements, not just a quick 5 or 10 minutes, lets say about half an hour to an hour – allowing for queues and what not.

Folks that upgrade and siege keeps and towers should get some perks. Maybe after they do a certain number of upgrades it gets cheaper for them. Also, if they got some special rewards for upgrading and such.

Daily rewards on supply could be a horrible disaster. Misuse of supply would be a fun killer.

Those are the best 4 I would say that would fit into WvW daily
For monthly it would be

250 kills
Capture 5 leeps
Deploy 30 non-ram Siege items inside a defensive stronghold.
Purchase 30 upgrades.
Reward: Badges, 10 superior blueprints (5 of 2 different kinds) and something else.

lv80 with skills fully unlocked, warrior, elementalist and engineer
lv80 Necromancer, all professional skills unlocked, working on the final norn elite skills.

But you’d force ALL PvE/WvW casual players into WvW to get their rewards (PvE types are notoriously greedy for things like that) – adding to overall queues without actually adding to WvW play.

It might be a good idea to get more PvE into WvW, yes – but the downside will be many more people in the queues … on low tier servers I’d say like 10 – 20% are WvW regulars and the rest ist PvE …

Dude, WvW is classified OFFICIALLY by Anet as PVE. Though I am as confused as yesterday on this classification, I am reminding myself everytime that WvW is PVE…. WvW is PVE … WvW is PVE.

To one of the posters who mentioned in another thread that if player comes into WvW to PVE, then something is wrong. I agree with that poster momentarily until I was reminded that WvW is PVE. So, officially it should be instead: if player comes into WvW to PvP, then something is wrong.

Something is indeed VERY wrong in WvW … everyone is pvp without giving much love to our PVE NPC on WvW ground. That is outrageous. Anet has got to be pissed off.

Agreed. I think something like 10 kills should be part of it, but 50 is too many for sure.

My idea: 1 camp, 1 tower, 1 side-objective (e.g., ogre, hylek, dredge, etc.), 1 scout point, 10 kills, escort a dolyak, 10 supply repairing (e.g., wall, door), and 20 supply building siege.

Basically 1 of everything for the daily.

This, to me, sounds more inline with the way the regular Daily works:

60 Enemy Kills (NPC does not count) – 3 stages of 20
12 Captures (of any kind) – 3 stages of 4
12 Defends (of any kind) – 3 stages of 4
210 Supply used (building siege/repairing stuff) – 3 stages of 70
15 Siege built (not dropped but helped build) – 3 stages of 5

Rewards:
20 badges / 10k karma / 5 Instant repair canisters

Rewards overall participation in WvW.

There is really no way to stop that from happening at all aside from removing the cap altogether.

PvE players are crazy, and will blindly do any daily if it helps with getting free gear (badges grant power/vit/toughness gear if you didn’t know not to mention the free karma!). Plus the fact that people will complain that WvW players are completing 2 dailies at the same time (you can easily get your daily done if you stop and sniff and kill the roses).

I PvE a lot, so I know we are crazy.

Now if the rewards were something only useful to WvW then it would work imo (free 1-2 random blueprints). But some of these suggestions are a little out there…I do like the notion of promoting taking supplies from camps and not towers/keeps, but I also think we would see a bunch of battering rams being built at random camps…at least more then we currently see.

I disagree with “using supply”. There are all ready enough incentives for people to raid their own towers and keeps of much needed supplies. We don’t need more incentives for people to act disruptive.

Same thing for a monthly “capture Stonemist” suggestion. I don’t know about everyone else’s server, but over here on Sorrow’s Furnace our team can seemingly be overcome by some crazy thought that Stonemist is the only objective… and then the team sacrifices the entire map just to beat on Stonemists inner keep door for an hour… ignoring everyone that would suggest that attacking Stonemist isn’t worth sacrificing the entire map position.

IMO a monthly achievement to kill the grub would have less of a negative impact on your team than something like “capture Stonemist”.

As for other ideas of “capture x objectives”, there are already more than enough incentives to flip objectives, leaving them undefended just so that you can flip them again. The PvE minded WvW karma trains already have more than enough incentives promoting their tactics, we don’t need to reward these people even more for screwing over their team.

WvW is an team objective game, adding in personal incentives that promote behaviour bad for the team objectives should not be done. A better daily/monthly achievement objective would be something more along the lines of “spend x gold on upgrades”, or “spend x amount of time in WvW”… maybe even “defend x number of objectives”. Or simply make WvW less of a gold sink to make it easier on the dedicated WvWers and the competitive players.

Maybe this is not the case, but I was pretty sure that the average skill level in sPvP dropped when they added sPvP dailies. At least that’s what I experienced in my “pre-daily spvp” and “post-daily spvp”. Also, just take a look for threads of people whining about PvP in a PvP zone (WvW jumping puzzles, WvW map completion). These people really are crazy and have major entitlement issues.

I quit SWtor for this game to escape required dailies. W3 is in bad shape in terms of community consistency already, watch it face plant once people are sunk into the daily depression.
