Maybe that is what we did wrong, we did not whine a threaten to quit if we did not get our way. Not to say a great many of us have not quit over this moronic problem, but maybe we need to make a childish fuss about it to be heard?

We tried every in-game option available, including going so far as to attempt an alliance between servers. Now that none of those worked, some of us decided to see if maybe the devs had some advice or were working on a fix. But now that we are here, we realized that the devs won’t respond to us, so we decided to make forum posts.

Seriously, the problem is that T8 has warped numbers due to Free Transfers screwing up the system, what exactly do you expect me to do about that in game?

Might have something to do with the fact that When Kain left T8, people said the same thing, and Kain beat t7 like a hapless puppie, stomping T7 harder then they ever stomped T8, I mean, I am not sure how T7 deals with the shame of being stomped harder by Kain then T8 was, I am sure they have their stories, on how they justify doing worse then T8, but, lets be real, their vanity on how good they think they are compared to T8 is not founded, never has been, and history has shown it.

Kain stomped T8 much, much harder than SF has ever done, and they continued to gain numbers, including experienced WvWers after they left T8. SF is not Kain, not even close.

NSPs War moved some time back in December or November…they were fairly large and coordinated, good bunch of guys miss them a good bit but unsure of where they transferred to possibly maguma

not to be rude but the reason sf is stuck with us in tier 8 is because even though they have the numbers they’re just simply not good enough to compete at any higher tiers…. sucks but it’s the truth, otherwise why would you guys be stuck down here this long. SF has the numbers but we still take things from them even when we only have maybe 20 people, not to mention the fact that if we really wanna defend something it will take them hours just to get one little keep. Sorry, but with that many people you should have what you want when you want, and yet you don’t. :\

I’m sure that SF have bored people aswell that aren’t playing WvW since the ratings aren’t doing’em any good… If SF get too much rating, it’s likely that it will suffer a backslide (just like the last time) due the fact that the T7 still far from their rating, and they need to keep overcomming their own score without much stuff to take… Ofc SF don’t have a 24/7 coverage, so i doubt they will ever reach 500k in a single matchup without FC and ET stepping out.

False… Otherwise NSP (Ex-T6) would be rolling over T7. Just because a server is 1 tier above doesn’t mean it have a massive population advantage over the tier below it.

Except that NSP has lost some of it’s most active guilds over time.. we’ve been losing our population, that’s exactly why we slipped from t6 into t7 in the first place. War left, Meow left.. Os is the only big guild we have left.

SF has at least 2, probably at least 3, though i only rarely see PvP guild zergs. CoSA has 3 chapters by itself. KING is rather large.

FC has only 1 big guild (well im not in it, not sure if theyre actually big but their leader likes to think so and theyre fairly able to produce a zerg on a whim), the rest of us are pugs or small to medium.

i know KWBH on ET is pretty active, could you call yourselves big? or only medium? PK, mend, yall are active on the forums, but are you big?

Mend isn’t much active lately… I think we can field around 15 people when we go out for some serious WvW (but as you can see i’m usually running with random people due the guild not going much on field).

PK have a lot of members, but I don’t think it’s WvW oriented… There is a lot of PvE’ers there…

We also have FSAE running around WvW, but they are small…

Now I dunno about TAC, KWBH and TFoR…

PK is large (400+), but has Jeknar said, only some of us WvW.

however, of the few of us who do, most are good at it... and several of them are respected commanders, including our guild leader. you know... this guy?

TAC has around 230 members. We have a solid foundation of talented hardcore WvW players. That is not to say we focus on WvW exclusively. We have a number of players that dig on PvE and dungeon content.

During EST primetime non-reset nights we typically have 10-20 people in WvW. During Friday reset we can field 30+. We must have at least 10 commanders in the guild. There is nothing more fun than rolling as a guild en masse. When we get together we can really stick the ram rod to the opposition.

That being said, our WvW participation has waxed and waned. Only a sado mascochist could keep the consistency and focus going for this long in the current state of this matchup. Variety is the spice that keeps WvW interesting right now. I know I will spend less time trying to level up my rotund lvl 20 engineer, roaming around skirmishing, dueling, chain capping supplies mobile ninja style, and actually focus on playing the game to win once the matchup flips.

I don’t know how other servers handle it, but on ET, we don’t have mega guilds that focus on WvW, we have a lot of guilds that have members that enjoy WvW.

When I’m fighting, I hope people don’t looks at my tag but at me. Because I’m sure some guys on your guild don’t come help me because of my guild.

Lol…my little birdies have told me stories for months about how things run. Just know we welcome every new player to SF as if they have been here for a lifetime, and there are plenty of guilds to join to help the cause. We will move out of T8 and not certain what will be left behind but friend or former foe there is an equal voice for everyone here on SF.

No server will be free of jerks, trolls and drama queens. I understand that losing and throwing money at a pointless fight can be hard, and stress with drama builds undue tension.

I say.. lets all take next week off. Seriously.

We have been at this 2 months non-stop, I think we all earned some R&R, so Lets just take the week off, FC and their new alliance can get their licks in against SF, and we can sit back, slog a brew and laugh at the chaos as it unfolds for the week.

SF is free of all of those things…and we work very well together. Don’t hesitate to try us out, we are everything you hoped for and more.

I have thought about the outscale issues at the lower rungs, and I sincerely believe a scaled “Outmanned” buff with some REAL teeth would go far toward balancing the scales and allowing lower population (in WvW at least) servers to compete. It would at the very least, give the players under that buff the opportunity to survive and do some damage, learning how the system works and having quite a bit more fun.

Can you imagine going up against a serious low pop server whose players had the health and toughness of a silver ring mob? I don’t think it would discourage the high-pop players from playing, but it would slow down the zerg steamrolling happening in some match ups and incentivize low pop servers to play more. Big rewards, big bonuses, and better drops… and serious levels of buffage.

That idea completely kills the solo roamer/small group play and effectively encourage those players to join the zerg so they can survive.

In no way would it ever be fun to fight someone who had an unreasonable advantage like that. There is a way to fix this or at least mitigate it but IMO this idea is not it.

I Laughed when I read this, at this point it is highly unlikely that anyone on T7 will lose bad enough to fall to T8, and as others have pointed as well, SF is no Kaineng.

Speaking as a member of a tiny guild, I have no problem with any of the Commanders on ET. Some of them clearly have their specialties, but I work with everyone, and quite frankly I like them all too. While I certainly fly my own guild tag, I consider myself to be a member of every guild insofar as I will work with anyone and listen to the suggestions and ideas of the Commanders on the field. I don’t have any idea if I am regarded differently in various guild’s “guild chats”, but everyone seems to (at least) tolerate me.

It seems they are not as good as they think they are, and as long as the map looks like this, they will never get out.

I can’t speak on the motivations of those who transferred. But it should be noted that while we did receive transfers just before free server transfers ended, we didn’t get NEARLY the number of transfers that Kain did. Kain got enough transfers to overcome the rating math and fling themselves out of the Glicko Ghetto. We didn’t.
