There are 3 other maps to play in, so I don’t care if it stays or goes. But I won’t personally play on it until they fix the gimmicky center of the map with the stealth/cripple and things popping up in front of you randomly. Once they get rid of that stuff and add something like the ruins for borderlands bloodlust to the map, I think it will be perfectly viable and I won’t mind playing on it.

I know DBL has its faults, but personally I think it’s a really beautiful map and brings a nice refreshment to the same old strategies and landscapes of Alpine BL’s. Can’t wait to be red again and defend my DBL all week long!

Desert would be okay, but its just empty on European servers, unless you face Germans.
So can you please remove it, at least on EU? I play it sometimes, but its just pointless because there’s never enemies.

You can even check the KD amount from gw2timer.com and see that Desert map has less than 3rd of the deaths compared to any other map. So it even gives less points so its not worth going to unless resetting ohjectives, as most points during daytime come from kills.

I voted to keep it because I knew they’d just make one border desert, but since they revived WvW with the linkings, id take my vote back because 1 “useless” map is too much when you have 3 map queued on almost all EU servers and no1 wants to go to the desert one.

So please, remove or remake the map. Its just not popular or useful at all. I know some people like it, so if you wanna keep it, make it at least SMALLER or add some kind of out-of-combat portals to move around the map.

Past voting means nothing if it’s not remade after the effects were negative, so stop living in 10 months in past where people voted to keep the map. Everything that matters is the result, and it was no good.

DBL obviously isn’t the favorite.. but in our matchup it’s not exactly barren. The last couple of nights we’ve had lots of action… of course not EB (ugh don’t like that place), or like the other BL’s, but still fun.

People say in here that the folks that voted for it don’t play it.. Maybe that’s true to a degree… but I see a lot of people running in DBL when needed, and frankly love to spend as much time there as possible. If you get to know the map inside/out it’s not that hard to get around and fun to battle for keeps. yaya I’m sure enough people will go boooo on this but frankly I don’t care. I’m glad the DBL is here… hope it stays… and will continue to make it my first stop in WvW, and usually my last.

No one plays it anywhere. Just the ppters. it’s the same on NA.

I voted for 1 Desert + 2 Alpine, because I didn’t like the other options. I would have to have 3 Desert BL for many months in a row. Alpine isn’t a perfect map, but gamewise it is offers much more enjoyable fights and faster paced action than Alpine.

Please just remove Desert BL. Almost nobody plays it, besides occasionally gvg/pre-planned zerg clashes, which can be easily had Alpine border or Obsidian Sanctum.

You are foolish. The people who took the time to vote were the ones who didn’t like it. Its a biased sample size, and you are using it to purport false information.

Get over it. Noone who likes it has to vote anymore….so why would they take the time to vote again? There was 1 official vote, and most of you hating on desert bl chose the option enabling it!

If you had a brain you would have chosen the last 2 options when they did vote: ABSTAIN (which would have shown u not wanting desert bl), OR no desert and a slap on the wrist (which would have shown not having desert bl is worth a bit of sacrifice on ur ends).
Were the voting options a little biased? Depends how you argue it tbh. The players had to give something up in order to vote no on desert. Anet had to give something up in order to remove desert. Anet was willing to offer you this deal…..and you said ’I’M NOT GIVING ANYHTING UP IM NOT COMPROMISING I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO".
By that standard I have more respect for anet than any of you people….which ain’t saying much.
Ur other option was to abstain from teh vote, which would have clearly shown disconnect and disapproval for the vote. Woulda been like the US election where 75% of the people voting voted independent or abstained….can you imagine the effect that would have? it WOULDA BEEEN HUUUUUUGE. But even in a controlled virtual environment you people have been shown to be incapable of serving ur own interests. You should blame urselves for this. You are the real culprits. We have desert bl because of you. The least you can do is stop whining. Go play on the other 3 maps…..its not hard.

Wow, these very few people who love the desert bl sure get defensive about a map that no one plays. Why is the desert bl so deserted if so many people voted for it? They have the lowest activity levels of any map. Just get rid of it anet. We’ll have more respect for you and it’ll be the right move.
