It’s not nearly that bad yet, but ever since the wvw rankings got published, we lost a lot of people and guilds. Queue times used to be 40min to 2 1/2 hours are now no queues and up to 5-10 minutes. Major guilds have just up and left, and the chat is starting to be nothing but talk of people talking of transfers and how pointless it is to bother trying.

We’re #2 right now, and have 1/3 the score of the #1 server in our matchup. Another 2-3 matchups like this and we really are going to be a ghost town like kaineg

I created a thread earlier. The problem is as long as Arenanet offers free realm transfers this will happen and create imbalance. I have seen people transfer during battle
to the winning realm hence larger groups/worlds dominating smaller worlds.

90% of people just dont bother queing for it at all anymore. Whats the point? to get spawn griefed by teams with siege weapons set up outside the starting points? This has gotten beyond pathetic. Quit allowing free transfers, its ruined the game.

Support. I can’t even believe how much of a bad move it was to publish WvWvW rankings while still allowing free transfers. It should have been completely obvious that everyone would leave to the high ranking servers. Won’t really be surprised at all if they start doing server merges because of this..

Since the transfers are still free, maybe some WvW guilds could consolidate on a couple of servers together, giving us six heavy WvW servers to work with (instead of the 4-5 we have now)?

At the very least start charging say 500 gems to server x-fer, force these whiners who cant stand being in an even fight to have to pay to win. Im at my wits end, I was soooo overjoyed to start a week long match with a fair matchup and awoke the next morning to a complete mess, one team owning about 80% of the entire 4 maps and camping the spawn points of the other two teams (Yes, I play on Darkhaven). Its beyond depressing.

This. It’s easy for all of us to judge and maybe devs shouldn’t be getting SO much heat but man, this is just a really bad decision.

Why do we need free transfers at all? Yeah, I’ve joined my mate on a sucky server wvw-wise (as it turned out) – so what, it’s been 2 weeks into the game, if it doesn’t tank right now, it will get better, why be so cheap and intentionally go for sub-par gameplay with long queues and NO fun camping spawns

Is there even 1 person who thinks camping spawns is any fun at all?

Darkhaven is against yaks bend and anvil right? I believe thats right im not logged in right now.

Things wouldnt be so bad if you didnt spend all of your effort attacking the other team in last place, I mean really, yaks have 80% of everything almost always, yet you can usually find a full darkhaven zerg running in anvils borderlands attacking us, or in eternal capping anvil towers.

You make it harder on yourselves by attacking the other losing team. Ya server transfers and all thats terrible too, but the whole point of 3 realms is the 2 weaker to attack the stronger, not for the the 2 weaker to bicker over 2 towers and a supply camp while they get stomped by the strong one. Forgive me if i have the wrong realm, but im 90% sure darkhaven is what we are against atm.

just another case where the guilds that were there .. sucked. I left after 3 or 4 days of Defiance[RUN] did this, and Defiance[RUN] did that ..

WvW is about servers guys, not about your precious little guild. Leaders don’t boast.

and funny thing … Defiance .. [RAN] .. to Maguuma so I get to kill [GOON] and [RUN] at the same time.
