Golem Rush… The solution to mass golems?

Bring siege disablers.
I think that the idea of golems slugging it out is very nice. I think there’s a lot of scope for fun with golems.
I was talking to a guildy the other night about how golems were sadly underappreciated by Arenanet as a way of offering upgradable content.
One idea was to have a garrison upgrade called “Golem Factory”, which spits out a golem every few hours. This should give interesting gameplay while offering even more incentive to downgrade the enemy’s garrison.
The golem factory could also be used to upgrade alphas to omegas (takes a long time and you can only do one at a time, don’t get funny ideas).
Golems themselves could be expandable, coming with a basic form of skills, but having specific upgraded versions available if you, for example, dock them in the golem factory. These could offer longer or reflective bubble, flamethrower, multi-warhead rockets, railgun etc etc, the list is …long.
All of this said, the problem is that if you offer these weapons to a side that is already dominating, they will simply dominate more. For that reason, I think the side that is winning should NOT be able to construct a golem factory, and when a side takes the lead for a certain amount of time, their golem factory should explode.
