It is important… you should look at it every day. It is the only think making us play WvW. A reward. A rank.

Oh wait… I only play for fun…

but WvW is not fun? I’m not even playing it ha ha. Only rank 4 or 5 at the moment.

But if I played I would be forced to try farming WXP because WvW is not that fun and WXP farming seems the only thing that could somehow make me play even if I’m usually not interested in ranks and stuff like that.

OP is right the best method of currently gaining WXP is moving with a blob and with this knowledge more people are forming blobs 30 people tag 1-5 players they all get same WXP reward regardless even commanders are starting to switch their tags off to shake of those that are not putting the effort in but merely leaching WXP off others.

We need a new mechanic for distributing who earns WXP in these situations scaling down player tagging and kill reward in multiple tagging situations in large scale combat could help to break up blobs into smaller groups that are rewarded for doing so rather than rewarded for holding hands and lagging the map out, two birds with the one stone.

Yeah. The whole WXP reward system needs to be rebalanced.

I am afraid that they will just add WXP for reviving or for yaks and then consider it ‘fixed’ Kinda like they ‘fixed’ the orb exploit by taking the orbs out.

It all depends on how much energy they want to put into WvW, really.

There are way more glass cannons out there now because of wxp. Even I use full zerkers from time to time. Mostly in staff.

Don’t build siege, building gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t protect with whirlwind, protecting gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t heal people, healing gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t rez people, rezzing gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t repair when a tower is not under attack, repairing gives 0 WXP when not under attack. Let other people do it.

Don’t kill downed people, killing gives 0 WXP when you already tagged that enemy. Let other people do it.

Don’t upgrade towers or keep, upgrading gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t down people downing gives 0 WXP when you already tagged that enemy. Let other people do it.

Don’t buff people, buffing gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t stand guard in a tower, guarding gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

Don’t escort yaks, escorting gives 0 WXP. Let other people do it.

The only thing that I think anet will not give wxp for is rezing and healing because I can see people exploiting this if it did.

If rezing gave wxp you would see people in front of spawns just killing themselves and having someone rez for wxp and then switch with others killing themselves.

Healing could be exploiting in the same manner. Just lose some health and heal them to get wxp.

True, true.

Although one could come up with a mechanism to cope with that. Either do the same as with kills and limitthe WXP one person can give or only give WXP when players are in combat with other players.

But it’s true that some of the solutions are indeed exploitable.

Unfortunatly, I had to make very, very few edits in this guide after the latest patch. None of this stuff gives WXP yet

A missed opportunity.

Even though ACs seem to be changed to discourage zergs, they don’t: people still run in zergballs
