*Guild* Wars 2:
+1 To much of this.
The fact that consistent, effective, and useful Guild communications and politics, in Guild Wars, still requires entirely third-party systems (along with the personnel and resources to accomplish them) is asinine.
It equates to off-loading (out sourcing) the linchpin of the game’s infrastructure.

You dont know much of the story behind the game do you?
the “Guild” in Guildwars has nothing to do with ingame guilds….
The Guild wars were a series of wars being fought in Tyria’s past.

The wars only ended due to the Char hostilities on Ascalon.
The name “Guild wars” is a reference to a part of the lore.
On the other hand a guild does not do much unless there are some active members. I am in an active guild. But in the notes on upcoming feature https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/colin-johanson-on-guild-wars-2-in-the-months-ahead/ there is mention of some guild specific features.
You know too much of the lore behind the game, don’t you?
Let’s not confuse rationale for story line with rationale for game client mechanics.
