I have noticed that the majority of our WvW community operates as a mindless drone. Blame it on our old dependence on TA alliance when we just had to follow a large zerg and we win every time but the way we are fighting will only lead us to the very last Tier and by then we will have nobody fighting for us at all because they will say said excuses such as: “We suck” or “There is no point.” As a Commander, I have hoped to lead victories in WvW, but it seems having a blue icon over your head is the only thing that 100g buys you in HoD. Attack-attack-attack, then think second is our mentality as of right now and that needs to change if we are to ever start accomplishing things. We need to start operating more smoothly, by coordinating attacks (whether it is between Guilds or Commanders), rallying together, building siege defenses the second we claim a large establishment such as a Garrison and bottom-line just learn to listen to each other better. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way, but I sure as hell love to see when we come together as a team after a collaborative strike and then start gaining half of the map or even the whole map back again. Also, other Commanders need to gain the mentality of defend first, attack second later. (I won’t mention names, but you know who you are)

Hey you tell me where I need to bring supplies, ill bring them. You want supplies to help repair walls I will bring them as fast as my perma swiftness can make me move from camps to keeps. The issue is we are just out numbered most times of the day and numbers do help alot.

I spent time upgrading camps with guards and such but they dont buy enough time when 15-20 players just run though and stomp the guards when only 5 or 6 of us try to keep the camps to allow our keeps to have supplies they need without more players to defend and attack more places.

I’d put my money in ET. HoD has performed better against tougher competition this week and last. And two weeks ago:

I’m not sure where you went tonight Savage but both [TOT] & [NOW] were just getting started when I noticed you were gone. You should keep an eye out for us as we will probably have a bit more presence in WvW from now on.

Unfortunately, WvW mechanics currently benefit people who zerg, so unless you got a group of ~10 well disciplined players who will do exactly what you say, you’re out of options.

Anyways, to reduce zerging, I suggest Anet remove reviving from defeated state, only allow downed state once per 5 mins, and raise the 5 man cap on AoE.

After arguing with an engineer for a while, you begin to realize that he actually enjoys it.
