Sure I’m not alone who thinking the group system is to basic.
Give a option where you can invite mutiple group to a “warband system” or put this option in the commander system and then can follow each other more easilly by seeing the entire roster.
Give the possibility to a guild to gain a “guild commander” were only guildies can see him. (With same option I ask below)
Sure with those recommandation will give a better pvp.

I like this idea. Warband most of all
I agree with warband system. My guildies and I get quite annoyed be needing to form up several groups of 5 and try to keep things in line on Teamspeak without actually being able to see what is happening to our other members.
Give us a warband option to fit 15 or 20 members so we can actually keep an eye on them.
I’m not sure why they didn’t have this on day one. I’m all for innovation, but leaving out basic features wasn’t well thought out.
We need this “Warband” thing! A proper raid party is something that should have been in place for launch.
If we can’t have it, then can one of the developers explain why not? I would bet my favorite pair of underwear that this has been discussed. Tell us about it Anet…we’re all ears.
The “Squad” option was always planned but as far as I know not yet implemented.. If you check out the chat options it also states there is a seperate “Squad” chat.
Squad chat works if you have a commander, even in PVE. Someone with commander title leads a squad, and others join it by clicking on his icon in the mini-map.
Make warbands Charr only and its a deal

The problem I reveal is more in map, you didnt see other in map even in a squad.

Then Asura get Krewes where we build superior siege without the use of a mystic forge and using two blueprints. Then we have a deal.
Edit: The more I think about this it would be pretty boss if race selection effected WvW in this sort of way. Probably be way unbalanced but it would be cool. Use the previous two for Charr and Asura while Humans build better walls since they seem so good at it, Norn can do something with the NPC groups and making them better, and Sylvari can go grow things.

Yeah, good ideas. Grouping in WvW could certainly be so much more than it is now. Quite an archaic system they have really.
That dude(from the vid) should had joined their Teamspeak!
I had seen pugs that would spend the little time to install voice comm programs and join the premade group channel to be part of it.
We do broadcast our TS info on regular bases..infact I find it very weird that so many pugs out there are not on our TS already.
The problem is, at the moment squad is utterly useless. The only thing it does is hide other commanders and gives you another chat channel.
I’d be nice to see all other members of a squad on the map at all times and having a private squad, pretty much a party that fits more than 5 people.
Large scale pvp grouping is one of the things that they failed at. Most every other mmo with large scale pvp has systems in place for grouping that are ten times better. Part of the reason im losing interest in wvw.
Love your idea piedplat. I think it would be great if you could click a ‘warband’ option when you first get to a map.
Join Warband [] <—that’s a checkbox
Squad 1 [] (leader is Someplayername) <— mostly pugs here
Squad 2 [] (leader is Anotherplayer[TAG]) <— let a guild ‘claim’ a squad
etc….
A players squad number would show up somewhere on screen?
Maybe squad leaders chosen by commanders or just anyone could jump in?
This is something that should have been in at launch. The ability to at least put 20 people together is such a basic concept
This is a good concept. Currently, when I have pugs running with my guild groups, we’ll actually make room in our various groups to fit the pugs in and even split groups up to include more pugs. We advertise our TS3 info, but have had 0 pugs join our TS3 to date, most saying “I don’t have TS3”.
This is fairly common on TC server tho. Lots of guild groups will do their best to include as many other people as they can by use of grouping them, communication in say, and communication in map.
