I’d argue that TS is good, but not everyone uses it, and spying has been rampant again since server merge, till this day there has been no solution put toward to fix it. This might put some TS users off, but the core issue is not TS or communication, it’s the current blobbing behavior in WvW. As long as the enemy can hear/spy on you (TS or in your squad), they’d gain a major advantage. If the WvW mechanics + scoring discouraged zergs, there’d be more subgroups running around capturing camps at 3x the speed, and each build/person in that group would pay more attention to what they or the commanders are doing since their lives depends on it. In-game commander commands to subgroups can not be “spied” upon as they can’t be seen or heard. How does an enemy zerg attack 3 subgroups in 3 different locations with 3x the capture/scoring ticks? The mechanics of commanding/scoring in WvW should drive player behavior, not TS, and definitely not Zerg Wars.
No, it really isn’t. IT IS a communication issue as Blobbing is a part of a massively multiplayer combat zone. It is actually one of the mechanics that is supposed to be there. People not knowing what the blobs are doing or working with their server deserve to be roadkill if they are not willing to play as server and pay attention to accomplish common goals. MANY roamers and havoc are extremely effective and work with the boobs quite well. I do not think people willfully refusing to pay attention to what goes on on their server is a reason to call foul on everyone else who does know.
Voice comms have been essential part of Cooperative PvP game play for decades now, Yes, they are what most consider essential to multiplayer PvP game modes.

something you should consider, that massive " Blob" you want to leave the game mode, just happens to be the MAJORITY of the players in the game mode. That is a bunch of people all having fun together, and often not just one group, but multiple working together doing hammer/anvil type fight as well. If people were on comms they would know what was going on. You are actually asking them to stop the majority of the players in the game from doing what they enjoy to accommodate you rather than choose to work as a server.
People on voice comms and people not on voice comms are not even playing the same game since the people using text chat miss most of the calls made.
