Will I gets the same ping still? My friend is on another server ands can’t WvW with him since i’m not on his server. If I switch servers, will I get the same ping as my current server? Are the servers located in the same area for NA?

I would think you would get the same ping, or close to it.

I still have yet to experience this lag that I have heard about, and I am on the TC pairing, in the same wvw world you’re in.

It has to be my fast fiber optics connection. I don’t see any other non-cause for the lag besides my isp, as both my wife and my computers and vid cards are not top notch.

Normally I would blame my ISP, but when my internet is normally running fine and its just the game, and other people are having the same issues like having the game randomly freeze up, getting lagspikes, etc.

I am not saying that isps are to blame for it, just that maybe the sheer speed of my isp is taking up the slack on what would normally result in lag or disconnects if I were, say, on something like centurylink, or a typical dsl.

Not trying to brag or anything like that. Just trying to figure out why my wife and I haven’t experienced the serious lag or dc’s that others have.

Getting a bunch of people in my guild and on JQ saying the same thing. Bad lag this week. I’ve been trying to work it out with support and they are pointing at my ISP instead.

I dont want to derail the thread, but seriously its really bad atm, bouncing between 800-3k pings, rubberbanding everywhere

I’m in Australia and getting lag on JQ also. I doubt you have the same ISP as me.

@OP – if your friend isn’t on one of the guest servers, all 12 host servers are full so you can’t transfer there. You can transfer to the guest of the host he/she is on, but your link will change putting you back to square 1… if your friend is on a guest server (or you both go to a guest server) you are golden…..
