Seriously ,their needs to be bonus war score points awarded for players that intentionally disconnect to avoid being stomped. 10 points minimum .It’s becoming really annoying to defeat some one just to have them disconnect to avoid the loss.
I would even go as far as saying that its an exploit and match manipulation by use of an exploit.

They still give bags and score. They still lost. They relog dead. And shamed. So nope.

It is all about good sportsmanship and some people do not have it unfortunately. I believe that Anet did make some changes so you still get a bag and badges. It used to be that when a person did that there was no credit given.

When someone disconnects to not get stomped by me, instead of feeling frustrated like OP, I actually feel better and chuckle.
If the person choose to Alt+F4, reopen the client, relog, choose character, get booted out of WvW and go thought a extra loading screen instead of just respawning, it’s because I really gave him a good beating while my rewards are still the same.

Not sure about the rest of you but I get disconnected alot during massive pvp in wvw, usually when i log back on im already in the down position in need of a rez. With over 3k spvp matches getting stomp is no big deal really.

Just a bunch of new age kids wanting their participation trophy. How dare they lose a fight!

I actually am rather amused when someone does that to me. It’s like they’re ashamed of a base necro using an axe dropping them.

The real achievement is getting them to Alt+F4 before hitting downstate.

I have hit alt + f4 only once. Mesmer’s panic button is f4 and I accidentally hold alt.
