Lol why don’t you provide a reason why first.
I’m not sure what you are proposing as the post merely states 2 things
1) it diminishes the pvp component but doesn’t state why or how it does
2 it promotes mentalities but does not elaborate on what they are
If you are proposing a low map cap, how much different would it be from sPVP. WvW was intended by ANET to be for epic battles.
A little bit of elaboration would help us understand where you are coming from.
Caps should be higher and maps should be larger/more spaced out. Worlds have lots of ppl, w/o lots of ppl its not very world v worldy. Just my opinion though.

The map cap is not too high because often times there are queues to get into the maps. If people want to play, they should be able to.
Let’s rephrase, the map caps are too high for the current game population and the way the servers perform at this time. The map caps have been lower at times when the active WvW population was higher which caused of a lot of negative experiences for players (myself included) regarding queues and ANET having to deal with said unhappy players so this is understandably a touchy subject for everyone.
I agree however that at the current levels of WvW activity and the ways the maps were designed, the map population caps should be closer to 50 per side in the borderlands and maybe a little more than that in EB. If this results in significant queues in the top tiers some incentives to population re-balance to the lower tiers should be added.
Maps caps are currently too high for the map sizes and server performance abilities. I would love to see less skill lag and the disappearance of the more recently added crazy rubber-banding effects and crashes to desktop.
