Let me clear something up for you. This is not war, this is a game. Games are meant to be challenging and fun. Coming after 15 people with 50+ is absolutely pathetic behavior.

The funny thing though is that it was still a challenging fight for those 50 as we downed quite a few of them before we were overwhelmed.

Best argument ever: Stop using being outnumbered 4 to 1 as an excuse for losing!

Personally I don’t mind that you outnumber us enormously (because really what can you do, just stop playing?)

What I DO mind is the fact that most DH I see claim that they don’t win because of numbers. They claim that they win because of skill, which is obviously not true. We have the outmanned buff most of the time in all maps. Yesterday, when we lost the buff in EB, we shot up to +380 potential points, putting us first in potential points. This is a trend that I always find happening: we lose the buff and start winning; we gain the buff and DH destroys us.

I don’t care that you have numbers, but don’t let the scoreboard tell you that your tactics are superior to ours, because that is entirely false.

Like another DHer said, IoJ is also earning a lot of respect from me. Loved that my assumptions about the tactics HARD was using in the SM siege were correct. Was just some great play. tips hat I will admit though, I wasnt sure enough such planning was involved to let my team know my suspicions. I wont make that mistake again!

I also have enjoyed seeing so many experienced DHers help new players to learn rather then degrade them for mistakes (though that still inevitably happens). I think this one aspect alone will help grow our numbers. We have a a lot of new, and newer, players on the field. Given enough time and a welcoming/friendly atmosphere, we may even have the numbers to truly compete in the next tier.

You see the exact same thing from every server in that position (including when DH has been there). I believe its just human nature. I think the best thing to do is essentially just ignore it and focus on the positive aspects of this round, which there are many. I think we should especially focus on areas where we are getting defeated due to a lack of “x” on our end, like when IoJ took SM. I was pretty sure they were sending in infiltration teams to destroy our frontline of siege, but said nothing. In that, I take my responsibility in losing SM.

We now know that we need to keep a much closer eye on [HARD], and given their creativity and organization, that should help us to achieve new levels as well. I really look forward to the learning process.

I understand. Its actually one of the biggest drawbacks to playing PvP for me and its ALWAYS there.

I think that when we start to fight fire with fire though, we start to become what we hate. At least, that is how it works for me.

I said that most of the time when we lose it is because we get overwhelmed by numbers and that is the truth. But, do you know what that word most implies? Yes, it implies that some times we get beat by even numbers. And good job to those that have beaten us with relatively even numbers.

What zerglings don’t understand about PvPers is that we look for challenging fights. We want fights that keep us on the edge of our seat wondering if we are going to win or lose. We don’t want fights that we win simply because of numbers. Zerglings don’t understand this. All they see is winning or losing and it doesn’t matter how they win or how they lose. It doesn’t matter if the loss comes after an epic fight against the odds and it doesn’t matter if the win is a totally hollow victory. That is all they see.

We dislike zerglings, but we understand them. We know how they think. Why do I do what I do? I am trying shame people into altering their behavior. Stop worrying about dying so much and run in smaller numbers. The small group versus small group combat mechanics in this game is very good. The zerg versus zerg combat mechanics in this game is very bad.

Tell me something though, are you the guardian from your guild with twilight that I killed half a dozen times in a row last night at your spawn in DRBL? That sure is superior tactics and skill, continuously running into my unloads face first.

DH was fighting us tooth and nail last night, was intense and fun (i went till 5am lol). We did manage to have a great fight with [Abys]? i beleive it was, me Mikey and another guildee were outnumbered, and fought for a while to get the win!

Fair enough. Also, i just had a 4v4 with some of your alliance mates (AD/NoQQ) in DRBL. Was a good fight, and we ended up winning but i give props to good players and they were good. I also dont like zergs they are boring to me thats why i play outrunner or vanguard so i can skirmish with larger parties. so i understand why you are coming from.

Sounds like you’re talking about Gutugutumakkan from my guild, he does WvW a lot. And the ranger sounds like Estel Wolfheart who posted earlier in this thread, and who did very well in the fight clubThursday.

I’ve been away this weekend, and it seems I’m missing out on a lot of fun in WvW. I’m glad to see [HARD] is doin a good job reppin IoJ.

There is a difference Prosecutor… you know the time frame our zerg will show up for 5 out of the 7 days… you guys have a zerg (size compared to possible defenders) 24-7 pretty much. (for this tier)

Props to the DH guys form the guild [Nova] I think every single [Nova] person I met was very very fun to fight, probably one of the best DH people I’ve seen haha.
Had some fun 30 mins ago at the Hylek camp in EB.

And there’s that DH thief, forgot his tag, might have been Nova too. Has a Fused sword and barely any stealth but a ton of mobility, its ridiculous haha, and that female norn engineer…. kitten they are good xP

It doesn’t work. I talked so much trash and got so many infractions, and at no point did even a single person change their behavior in response. People play the way they play, and if they aren’t interested in getting good, a bit of trash talk won’t change anything.

Oh Boy…More of the “dark Haven” has SOOO many people stuff lols….our morning shift is Abysmal. And to the comment ..what are we doing in this tier. I guess the short answer is “kicking teeth in” . It just so happens that from Our Server and up, the competition is fairly stiff. hell, when you drop down to t7 Gates might have a lil something for ya.

Dark Havens communication has really stepped up and i think we will only be getting better once everyone starts using the /assist and using field synergy to our advantage more and more. The Last piece of the puzzle is filling in our bankers Shift, god have mercy on people when that happens. Long live Dark Haven!

Screenshots are meaningless.

I was not there, but I can guarantee you that ADQQSTY were not there to take the tower they were there to kill red names. I can also guarantee that they were not running with the other people on the right of the screenshot. They just ended up in the same place.

One scenario is that the mass of DR came in after ADQQSTY had already pushed you back into your spawn area. That is why screenshots mean nothing.

Oozo: I’ve watched a number of your movies and I respect the strategies your group uses and the skills of your individual players. But your forum arguments have left me shaking my head. I’ve seen you telling people that beating your squad 40v15 is not cool, and I’ve also seen you say that when your squad gets too many hangers-on, you hit a random WP to lose them. If you’re going to limit your own numbers by choice, that’s fine, but then arguing when we don’t do that is kind of silly.

Related note: You’re in a dedicated WvW guild with members who are experienced and work together well. For the majority of us who are NOT in guilds like that, we will never ever be able to match you in a 1:1 fight. You could get 15 pubbers with Twilights and they will lose easily to your 15 if they’re not on Vent/TS and have limited experience together. Is it my fault that I’m not in an exclusive WvW clan? No. Nor is it my fault if I choose to run with a group that is larger than yours sometimes.

I remember that screen shot, it’s just a second in time. We pushed from the coyote’s then we saw that you guys were being spawn camped, I even remember the driver, Larks saying “We don’t want to be associated in this, someone might take a screenshot” kinda funny how it did lol. We pulled out and let the “pubbies” handle it like we say and switched maps.

That isn’t the funny part. The funny part is that while keeping our main force bottled, you failed to take the tower.

Now, as far as Prosecutor saying he died once, he did jump the wall when the champion fell in the tower. I was trying to get to him for our last stand and died on the way. So I died twice and he owes me 1.3 silver for the second death, lol

Nice push into the keep on EB tonight DH, all i heard was my guild leader yell in TS, there about to take our keep lmao. I got there and it did’nt look promising, but we were able to barely get you guys out! MoW has the keep flagged, so we really did’nt wanna lose it lol. Thanks to all who helped us defend it. I hope player on IoJ told them rams dont hurt walls. We had it too since there is alot of new players on all sides of the field and its up to us(commanders) to teach these new players how to use siege. I would teach this person but im on DH and my hands are full with stuff already.

This is a movie with commentary from reset night. Thanks for the great 3way fight at hills to whoever was there. That was a lot of fun.

There is also a great display of the famed DH tactics at the end. Now, every server has zerglings that only know how to solve problems with numbers. DR has them too. Just a lot less of them.

Yup you’re right. Thats all ADQQSTY does is zerg. In fact thats how M Black (BSty thief that kitten everyone) got all of his 57,000+ kills. Yup, sitting on a ballista firing into zergs or SBing into enemy zergs, just zergin around and stuff. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen M Black do small man fighting, ever. Except when I first met him fighting a 5v1, and about a minute later finishing a 2v7 when a couple more enemies and I joined in. Other than that we just zerg.

P.S. We think we are a zerg when we got 15 people.

EDIT: I didn’t see Oozo’s post about your screenshot being asinine, and hes right. However I will provide a little more analysis of the screenshot. If you see our group near a zerg that means we are trying to flank an enemy zerg to support our fellow server mates. If you notice in your screenshot where we are in relation to the main group of DR there.
Where was ADQQSTY approaching from?
Why were we not in the middle of the zerg which would protect us from the almighty scary 5-man caped aoe damage?

Watch that video that Oozo posted, we were doing the same thing about half way through. Hammer and Anvil style tactics with the larger force holding the line and doing damage while we flanked and hammered them into the anvil. That fight wouldn’t have been a massacre without the larger force or ours (This was the hills keep fight prior to our ‘300’ style fight at the end)

Actually what took the cake this week is Super Adventure Box, it’s killed the WvW population by quite a bit, it is the new greatest enemy of every server!

That was me, but im not a confusion mesmer. I’m a weird build. My team mate was an uplvld necro and i honestly have no idea who that other ranger in my guild was lol.Necro/Ranger right? Yea you guys were solid. I told the other guy i was with that i can usually smash 2v1 with that class make up but not you guys. Tough fights!

This thread is beautiful. It makes me want to transfer down and win 1vX fights over and over till the forums hit critical QQ. Too bad the hardest decision is whether I transfer to DR to play with dreztina or to IoJ to duel him.
