NSP is having double the PPT than the other two servers for some skirmishes despite getting the lowest PPT per tick and kills.

Last time I fought nsp they had a pretty good night crew they may just be winning the night skirmishes and your not seeing it?

OP is referring to current skirmishes. Right now, NSP has a skirmish total of 10K, while only gaining 109 tics lowest of the three servers with only 325 kills. Is seems that they are earning double points.

No but seriously, it does look a little funky. Going over the history on mos millenium, there was a skirmish 14:00-16:00 today when NSP won by 500 or so points, 8100 vs 7600 against SoS. But during that entire skirmish, SoS PPT was twice that of NSP… Denravi roughly matched the PPT of SoS (a little less) but came in far behind. Another skirmish 10-12 make no sense whatsoever unless NSP farmed you completely for 2 hours (while getting no PPT).

Well either that or I’m reading the logs incorrectly and mess up the times. Does mos millenium take into account tier upgrades? I honestly cant remember. Your overall PPT between all 3 servers look very low.

According to match history, the last 12 have been wonky.

Only 2 of those NSP had over 1000 kills. The average for the rest is 500.
Since skirmish 32, NSP has acquired 10k war score per.

The bug seems to be NSP earning double points.

Yes, the system was doubling NSP PPT and currently it seems fixed.

Maybe some of you guys and gals that understand how the scoring works can better explain, but if I am understanding things correctly (note: I am NOT a mathematician), Skirmish 44 (and some of the other skirmishes) is way off when you look at NSP’s skirmish warscore. It might have been doubled like some folks have said above.

Lets look at Skirmish 44…

Skirmish 44, NSP had a skirmish warscore of 12,463. (see image)
NSP had 410 kills in skirmish 44, which is 1 point per kill, I believe. (see image)

So that’s 12,463 – 410 = 12,053. So 12,053 points would have had to come from PPT, right? There are 24 five minute periods in a skirmish (2 hour period). So that’s 12,053/24 = 502.2, which in my mind means NSP would have had to average a PPT of 502 for the entire 2 hours of Skirmish 44 to get a grand total of 12,463 skirmish warscore.

Is there even that much real-estate on all four maps to account for this? (see image from 40 minutes ago – 409 PPT total available period.)

I believe the higher the tier a structure is the more it’s worth and I also believe you can get points for killing sentries, but still – 502 PPT average?

And for the record, I feel that NSP is a fine server with some very outstanding guilds, people and WvW community. I have many friends there and enjoy the battles and conversations! My post and those above are just an effort to try to bring a potential bug to the surface of Anet’s attention.

Does NSP have all 3 bloodlust buffs? It’s hard to notice when they’re gone since it isn’t shown in the WvW UI anymore and it can have a massive effect on score…though probably not this massive.

I’m not saying that there isn’t a problem with the scoring, but mos.millenium is pretty far off the correct scoring for matchups because it doesn’t take proper account of upgraded structures. It can be off by 25% or more from what I have seen, and I’m pretty sure it’s because it doesn’t detect/calculate upgraded structures correctly.

i.e. it will show your server as getting +110 PPT, but you’re really getting +135 PPT because it’s not calculating your upgraded structures bonus PPT (could be camps, towers, or keeps).
