Yeah, 10k achievement points are when pets really take off. You unlock further bonuses every 5k achievement points thereafter.

Seriously had 2 rangers on me with their pets, just cycling through them, and every time I got close to the ranger they knocked me back like 50 feet then went invisible. Seriously OP. You must be a god in WvW killar.

If you ran into 2 of any other profession you’d just be DEAD, not harassed by their pets for a while…

many ranger say “we’re underbuffed pleas buff us” but i think ranger only feel jealous because unbalanced bear out perform them

Don’t take things too seriously, since the beginning it was obvious that this was a troll thread, but it was rather funny to see how long it lasted.

Of course I know how to fight against rangers, how to keep on moving and close the distance, but I’m rather dissapointed since no one gave me an explanatory video

It really is a simple thing. You move or get an arrow to the face or some other sharp object to the body. We aren’t that particular.

If you blunder into our traps and get eaten by our pets then we will laugh because obvious bait was obvious.

And really… bearbow cuz why not? Go roll a bearbow ranger. I would love to see a WvW day of bearbow rangers because it would be sheer ridiculousness.

I wish the polar bear special attack should be made longer to include the animation the bear opens his fridge, takes out an ice cube and puts into enemy’s pant. Right now it’s too short and boring so no one is watching it.

I know, right? You get by far the most AP out of PvE carebear farming not pvp, so AP is actually a lousy indicator of skill and experience with pvp and balance.

Hidden fact about ranger pets is, that when you hit 20k achiement points you get new talents how to train them. I picked the skill that gives pets ability to use siege engines. Its nice when Polar Bear is doing the boring ramming and Panther can guard the back with arrowcart. What skills you guys took?

I sent this person a PM a long time ago that this wasn’t to be taken seriously, I actually felt bad at how serious they were taking it. But they have kept posting serious so……must be serious.

And now that S2 is upon us, I hear BP and TC are recruiting bear pets from other servers to roam EB and take out zergs…..skeery stuff in the higher Tiers.

Not sure if this has came up in the past, but I have been super frustrated with Ranger Pets.

I feel as though Ranger pets are overpowered, their skills always hit me, and when I kill the pet the Ranger just send another after me LEAVE ME ALONE.

I feel as though pets should be made to be more inconsequential in WvW.

And if you don’t believe we are hated and not used to our potential that you haven’t been in WvW lately.

You’re quoting a post 12 days old and expect a CDI that lasted more than 2 weeks to be still open? Really?

You have no idea how traumatizing it is to be a ranger, because the pet constantly follows you! I’m pretty sure the bear ranger is just trying to get rid of the pet by sending it to you, hoping it would follow you home and leave the poor ranger alone instead. #scarred4lyfe.

Those conditions/boons will be removed ONLY when all opponents are downed.

It got to a pointwhere I can’t even tell if the people over whoms heads it seems to fly are totally ignorant to the concept of sarcasm or just the most sarcastic ones of all.

You do do the right killing priority but with wrong mind. Ranger can keep doing 3000+demage /sec. in 1800 range. If you don’t come melee fast, you will be killed in seconds.

I was minding my own business on homeborder when I saw those white swords on a camp named lowlands. As my good commander once taught me: if you see swords, go scout. So there I was going with my poor slow guardian, trying to run all the way from the ruins and when I got to the said camp, I met with NOT 1 or 2, but 3, YES I said 3 (!!), rangers attacking it. At first I frozen out, I mean it would be 3 pets hitting me (stalker, spider and dunno I think was a fern hound the 3rd). D :

I fought internally with myself and thought I’d give a try since the vet from the camp was still up, he certainly could protect me from those horrendous pets. However as soon I got within the circle the vet died (talk about luck), so I tried to run since I had pet aggro but failed. The pets not only were evil but also disrespectful to my corpse, they spammed /laugh and /dance.

After that day, I always flee in sheer terror when I see a ranger. Doesn’t matter if it is WvW or PvE, the pets causes me grief, torment and horror.

- All Bear pets now have base 1 million health and scale for 1,000 health with each point of Vitality. Rangers have the Determined buff as long as their Bear pet is alive.

Who ever thinks ranger pets are OP are obviously unaware of the ranger class in general and most likely if they WvW its on lower teir servers. I play on TC which is a T1 server, I am a main ranger. I play vs other rangers, we are not seen as vital characters in WvW due to our low utility.

Ranger pets are very weak, they only offer a short moment of CC. There are Beast Master rangers who make their pets very strong but in turn the ranger itself is weak. If ranger pets are doing super high damage on you focus the ranger. If they are knocked down they can’t survive.

Theifs are a rangers worst nightmare, especially the stealth theifs. I noticed a theif on here is the one who is crying about ranger pets. This is why I feel this person has no clue what they are talking about.

Do some research and stop crying, next you’ll say Warriors are so underpowered?

The two things we learned in this thread is that reading and sarcasm detection are more OP than Ranger pets.

However since reading and sarcasm detection does not directly affect game performance, and is not a critical part of game PvX balance, pets is still OP.
