Make it like PvP, you can keep your look.

I have a WAY BETTER idea then that.

Remove the amulet system in PvP and replace it with regular gear + consumables. Bring back the build diversity and fun, so that some of us might actually go back to it for novelty if nothing else.

I understand the most bunker stats were removed from sPvP given it’s a “hold the point” game mode, and turtle builds are undesirable there.

I’m all for more stats in WvW because there’re more fashions to play, more roles, and thus, it requires more build possibilities. And that’s the reason why I think sPvP stats that don’t exist in PvE/WvW should be obtainable in WvW too.

I’m also all for an easy swap stats system in WvW, for each individual piece of gear. Also, as was previously suggested (I don’t remember where, nevermind) : a possibility to unlock gear stats using inscriptions/insignas would be a fair middle ground.

Idk why people complain about dire/trailblazer. Those stats don’t put 10 stacks of burn, 20 stacks of confusion, 30 stacks of bleed or nearly every condi in the game on a player in a second. Nor do they grant them more dodges, blocks or invulnerability.

So its down to build diversity rather than balance for most of you?, interesting, i’v become a raid boss in wvw i had a 100 stacks of bleeding on me, needless to say i dropped in 2 seconds lol.

Armor is EASILY acquirable. There is absolutely no need to lock people into fixed stats. Have you seen pvp? All anet does is remove amulets and it’s still unbalanced and not fun. Stats aren’t the issue, it’s the power creep introduced by HoT.

You also mention that necros are overpowered and the basis of your reasoning behind this.. really? It’s honestly a L2P issue. I’ve fought some great necros in my time and I have to say that all but one of them were power. As for 100 stacks of bleeding, you would die before the second tick.

Im sorry, however this topic has been made several times and the general WvW community shuts it down every time, and with good reason. I fyou want an amulet type environment, PvP has what you are looking for. If your end game is to have ammy’s in a PvP environment with a bigger map, make a thread about wanting bigger PvP maps.

What kills the build diversity in wvw is having to spend hours farming new gear if you want to change your build.

So… one vs one? Yep. You are likely gonna die. That level of balance in WvW has never existed. And honestly, amulets would probably NOT work on large scale.

If you are looking for a ‘fair’ fight, evidently your class is bad at necro fighting.

I’ve seen power necros kill a condi necro, seen condi and necro thrives kill condi necros , seen druids kill condi necros.

Not gonna say get gud because I don’t know you, but there are some classes that own others 1v1. The way it should be in WvW.

Think of it this way… why was the rifle developed? Because it was superior to the bow.

Don’t bring a rifle to fight a tank, and if you are driving a tank through an anti tank field, you are gonna lose..

WvW is designed for combined arms. Period. No 1v1 balance exists nor SHOULD it exist.

Im sorry but if you’re dying to a viper necro you need to adapt your build. Use a ranged weapon to kite them, bring condi cleanse, use rune of hoelbrak or melandru, DONT STAND INSIDE OF ENEMY COMBO FIELDS, dont waste your condi cleanse with low stacks/duration condis. Learn to play. lol

I love my stats diversity and i love being able to adjust small details in my builds, i dont want to lose that because some people get frustrated when they die trying to facetank a dire/trailblazer necro.

Also, acquiring X or Y stats is part of the game, stop complaining on the forum and go work for it.

No, you trust me, I’d much rather have the wvw build system in pvp than the current straight jacket that is the amulet system. Anyway im not arguing for the wvw system to be placed in pvp, im arguing that the amulet system should NOT be transferred to WvW.

As others have posted on here, this is a terrible idea and anyone who is a serious pvp/wvw player will tell you the same thing.

Uhhh…thats the beauty of having Ascended gear. You dont need an endless grind to change stats. If you are going for exo…exo gear is “typically” cheap and easy to make as it is.

We dont need to test we know exactly how bad the amulet system is in PVP. It doesnt take imagination to realize how bad it will be in WvW.

I’d rather see the pvp changes to skills and traits transfered to wvw 1:1 instead of just x has been buffed to compensate and y has been nerfed in pvp only because thats where the inballance is at. Not some stat points. Stats dont do dmg. Skills and traits do with their scaling in power or condidmg or the need to crit.
