I don’t think they would have reset WxP levels if they planned on dropping this change before or during season 2. Hopefully forum rage will shift that thinking but I am guessing we are stuck for a long while without any significant WvW changes.

No, it looks like it’ll be included in the feature patch but they didn’t want players locked in their current distribution for the first three weeks.
It’s moronic though that they didn’t drop the WXP update as soon as they could, just so they can get another bulletpoint for their “grand” feature update. ANet did more harm than hype with that.
We know ‘no update during ’leagues’, but we also know anet likes to bundle updates rather then do them one by one.
It’s gonna be really sad if we don’t get it in the feature update. As for the whole “no changes” thing, they reneged on that when they added the toxic stuff to the WvW maps mid-season. The pessimist in me is conflicted; do they lie about no changes, or do they delay it so long that the season is over by the time we finally get it?
You do realize that the whole feature patch already is a bunch of HUGE changes mid-season, right? Like, adding new traits, changing crit-dmg, etc. Making wxp accountbound would be a minor change in comparison. Thus, the “no changes thing” doesn’t have any influence on this at all.

In fact it makes it look ridiculous given the datamining has revealed that it is already in the game.
I’m okay with it if it’s not until after seasons… Means we won’t see a bunch of Gold rank uplevels with Applied Strength and Applied Fortitude.
I get that it may not be ready , but very disappointing as a frequent alt player.
