Yeah, I logged into WvW just now and saw this. I’m not even sure what to make of it. Waste of golems? Set for a movie where Golems take over WvW?

This isn’t nothing new at all, servers making them for golems rush to take/retake things or some troll wasting supply.

At the time of this screenshot, my server controlled 90% of the map. So I’m guessing this was done by a spiteful member of another server to waste supply?

Maybe or they where used to take control of the map before you logged in? Did you ask you server in TS or ingame chat about them?

If its a faceroll matchup they were probably bored

I sometimes build extra golems @ camps that are constantly at max supply and there’s not much going on. This can be a way of getting surplus supply in case someone causes trouble later on.

Good golly; throw some of those alphas into the forge for omegas next time; they are way more fun.

I did. There was no response. These golems were in our own territory’s base, which can’t even be assaulted by the enemy. Not the garrison, the home base.

Also, it’s not a faceroll matchup. Each realm’s score has been within 5-10k of each other for the entire week so far.

Anyway, I thought it was just a little bit strange, whatever the reason for it.

That’s where you store golems safely, they can’t (generally) be killed there.

Then be glad your server has 30 golems ready to rumble if you need to assault anything in that borderland.

You are on SoR, right? Those have been there since Sunday.

Huh..well thanks for the info guys! I guess I didn’t know as much as I thought about WvW. I don’t spend a lot of time there, to be honest.

I’m guessing the person that built it was board and thought that the golems might be useful for the server later or something?

That’s a relatively safe place to store them, and sometimes it’s what you gotta do (build a ton) to retake a well-sieged/defended keep, even on your home BL.

That’s a pretty awesome group of Golems! Though, I give it a “meh” in Golem Artistry. You folks must be lacking in Golem Art Mastery.
