Guild Wars 2

WvW is currently not very active, which is a shame for all the WvW guilds + players. I have been talking with a few people and we came up with a few things that we would think would be nice.

First of all:
Make the borderlands smaller again. I get that you want a change of area, but they are too big. You have 4 EB’s like this. If you spot another guild on south, they will be gone before you get there. The sentries do help with spotting, but the walk is just too big.

Tournaments + AP:
- Get tournaments back. It has been over a year since we had one. Get WvW competitive again.
- Some new achievements would be nice. With HoT I got them all of a sudden, besides UD.

WvW ranks:
- Finishers for WvW, based on your WvW rank. you have them for PvP, so why not for WvW?
- Most of us have everything maxed out that we can gain with our WvW ranks, it would be nice to see something useful for them.
As example:
- WvW exclusive skins (for armor and weapons): Lets say you can exchange 200 rankpoints for 1 ticket and you then need 3 of those tickets for a chest skin, 1 ticket for a helmet skin etc.
- An ascended backpiece: You would need like x amount of ranks to exchange for a piece + 10k badges and 2 other items to get one.

Class balance:
- The revenant is too strong. Hammer 2 can one hit casters. It’s promoting pirateshipping too much. The ‘new’ stability system already promoted a more ranged play. Don’t make us all go to ranged.

I hope you will change things, because like this, WvW will soon be fully dead and a lot of players will be lost from the game. There are quite a few who only play WvW.

I do agree with all the points the maps are at the moment just to hard to run around with. And the rev’s make it almost impossible to run around as a caster and even a Heavy melee class can’t survive it easy.

The range stuff really needs changing.
There seems to be barely any melee in fights anymore.

Also agree with borderlands needs compacting to a new smaller map or bring the old ones back.

OK with some of it but I hate tournaments… talk about a pay to win system with lag and queues all over the place. Almost nobody wanted to be in T2 getting steam rolled by T1 servers. Only one server plays in T3 as they end up with a population larger than most T1 servers. Even the awards mostly suck as the skins are pretty awful. I still have over 800 tickets that are sitting unused.
