I think we’re talking a realistic limit of like 8 people per map. Most servers have a single small zerg that bounces between maps based on threats.
It would have to be a limit per all 4 maps I guess to not break that playstyle.
Lol I don’t think it’s that bad just yet. Even in tier 7/8 the servers could field around 30 per map. I personally think bringing a little balance to WvW and forcing people to use a bit of strategy instead of just outmanning the other servers might get a lot of people playing again.
Even if your server doesn’t have 50 people on the map and another one does, it will still limit the massive zergs that can just melt down towers and keeps. If a server wants to get in a 50 man blob they will likely lose everything to smaller groups that cap things around them.

I think the lower the number allowed on the maps the better. This will likely help force people to split up into smaller groups just as Jim stated. Split up into different groups or face losing all your stuff to the server that does!

The OP post reminds me of someone on map chat yelling “Incoming”. Without specifics yelling incoming isn’t very helpful.

Actually, the “straw that’s breaking the camel’s back” for me is: Siege Disablers. Couple in the normal ‘problems’ of WvW, fine, I anticipate something serious like server stacking will be dealt with over time (and a long time at that), but cmon, adding siege disablers. Shows me that they’re more willing to band-aid stuff rather than actually fix it. THAT is HIGHLY discouraging. If they don’t get rid of those god awful items, I will be gone =\

Your reset night numbers say different. I’d be willing to bet a lot of your fairweather/reset night players might hop in to WvW a lot more often if they knew they were going to fight somewhat even numbers.

No server have consistent numbers from reset… Not even the winning servers continue to field as much. Taking resets on account really means nothing.

Just a thought probably would not work but.
Get rid of servers and create alliances to the Gods / dragons (or an alternative) that lasts for a 3 week time period with each alliance representing all 3 colours in a rotation over the 3 week period.
Ever 3 weeks the WvW players will pick there new alliance with no changing throughout the 3 week period and PvE players do not need to pick an alliance reducing unneeded server stacking. This would also give Guilds a larger variety of GvG opponents that would normally be on a different tier or on the same server.
Keep EotM as a separate game mode but i’m not sure how :/

This is not even close to being true. Even on reset nights. For tier 5/6 even.
