ArenaNet doesn’t devote a lot of resources to WvW because it’s not very popular, but it’s not very popular because they don’t devote a lot of resources to it.

The one promise we made in that for sure the Orb mechanic will drop this year. That will be more than just orbs, it will change up the way they’re obtained and the way you view the borderland maps. That’s something we’re really excited about when it’s ready to go. Beyond that, Devon’s blog post did a really great job of summarizing right now what we’re working on. We think WvW right now is really successful. From January until now the number of players consistently playing WvW has gone up month by month with more and more people playing it. I think that the most important thing we can do to make WvW more exciting and more compelling is to make it so that week to week the matchups feel like they’re different encounters and experiences – that direction is where we’re focusing right now. Looking at map experiences that can change that gameplay, looking at rules and scenario types changes for that gameplay. We don’t have final details on that yet, it’s all stuff we’re working on, but when the team gets ready to share, Devon and his wuv wuv team will pop up and show that.”

But I don’t care for orbs..

I want the lag fixed.
I want the spy wasting supply situation fixed.
I want more rewards for people who scout, who build siege, who run supply, who upgrade, who defend, who repair…
I want a modified scoring system that depends on the population difference, so outnumbered players get more points for holding objectives = more balance in score, and more people coming to WvW because of that
I want palisades added to camps as upgrade to make them worthwhile to upgrade.
I want new meaningful abilities like dolyak riding.

2 of your things you want “fixed” can be solved by spreading population, instead of continuing to stack 4 servers, players fault not ANet’s.
More rewards for building siege/repairing will cause MORE people who waste supply aka spies.
Camp upgrades are decent already, A fully upgraded camps needs ~10-15 to take it at a decent speed.

A lot of people care about orbs, they gave the 3 borderlands a PURPOSE. That purpose will be brought back making the BLs more than “PPT fodder”. I’d rather have Orbs than “dolyak riding”..

after almost a full year of nothing but disappointment from the wvw devs (if they even exist), the next game really can’t come soon enough. only reason people are still around is because there is no subscription fee

Add pve achievements like the dailies and living world stuff and youll see the population increase – as well as general population numbers flowing into WvW. Be good to see a proportionate comparison…

By looking at those answers about WvW, looks like community concerns/issues/suggestions/discussions of last 6 monts or so have never happened – or at least have never been considered.

Lag?
New or, at least, improving current Maps?
Gvg?
Crush the Skilless Blobbing 24/7 meta?
Matchups?
Commander improvements?
Telling us if you want WvW to be casual crap for bored pvers or being a viable endgame for hardcore wvw guilds?
Rewards still horrible?
