Disclaimer : this is a RP post, I have respect for every player on every server mentioned in this text. Feel free to add some more RP to it.

To the combatants of the world battles, tonight is the greatest moment Guild Wars 2 has witnessed thus far. Tonight the heroes of Desolation will be the first to topple the tyranny that was the alliance of Vizunah and Arborstone.

This victory is not just ours alone, it’s for all players in both NA and EU who wish to enjoy the freedom of fantastic and health competition regardless of what server they choose without fear of persecution and ridicule.

There were people that said it couldn’t be done.

There were those that said that alliance of 2 would defeat an army of one. But together as one server, Desolation was able to RUIN the threat of darkness and win the day. We are now able to expel one combatant and welcome new one to the battle next week.

The men and women of Desolation worked very hard, found new friends from all over and came together not just as many guilds belonging to one server but as one server named Desolation.

So raise a glass for tonight we wine as victors every one of us! Your hard work and sacrifice has been rewarded.

Oh come ooon! There is no such thing “nightcapping” in an 24/7 format! Desolation did what has to be done to have 24/7 coverage and this is needed to be in T1.

Blame the format, ANet but not Desolation ppl who managed to overcome the disadvantages of the 24/7 format.

Desolation victory is only a “nightcapping” victory. The truth has to be said.
Looking at the income, they lost during daytime, which is logical since Desolation was a T3 server.
However, they crushed the whole map during night. This was allowed only by reinforcement from NA players.

A move that neither Vizunah or Arborstone could do, because they are “tagged” server.
So, it was an unfair move, because every server is not able to do it. Only the untagged servers can do this. Consequently there are now a new ladder which is totally unbalanced.

This is the truth and none player from Desolation could deny it.

I can deny it because vizunah had full ques 23 hours a day once upon a time and theres also this image that sheds some light on the cannadian guilds certain servers were not suppose to have XD.

The same people coming here to debunk or belittle Desolations climb to the top used exactly the same tactics and also a 2 v 1 to win trade in the tier one slot.

Desolation was also outmanned allot of the match and VS and AS map hopped to cap out zones literally running from toe to toe fights 9/10 times. Mythical tales of 10 v 50 wins just didnt happen and the scorline kinda states as such. The only time we struggled during the day was during 2 v 1 situations or when we were outmanned

Im sorry but did we play same wvw ?
Desolation had 270-325 points income during EU prime time…. ( its still daytime isnt it )
few days ago Iron during ur prime time took almost entire Arborstone map leaving u only 1 sup camp and tower at spawn point.
Lets not forget that Stonemist did belong to Desolation almost 24/7
Sure once every few days u took Stonemist for 30 mins or something but u was to weak to hold it even in ur peek time.

Again how could we loose during daytime ?
Sure in mornings when we all were in work VZ had lead but like I said the points we lost we were getting back during EU prime time.

We did not win because of Strong night force
We won because Strong night and EU prime force!
We still need to reinforce our mornings.

The few times SM did get taken Ruin would retake it in under 20 minutes when it often took being hit from 2-3 points as hard as possible by both VS and AS for hour after hour for them to even stand a chance of claiming it. We also did it with little to no supply because AS and VS would ritually hammer supply camps on both sides of the map to ensure we got little to none. Those are probably the highlights of this match for me. Epic battles in SM and the ammount of siege that got obliterated in futile efforts to retake the hub of EB. One night in under an hour we destroyed over 13 golems in two seperate attacks and god knows how many catas with 40-50 players behind them on each occasion.

A Canadian guild with 500 players didn’t exist. Even the guild name “CaSu” was a troll.

The “Canadian guilds” argument reminds me the one about “weapons of mass destruction”.

They came and they claimed : “There are weapons of mass destruction”.
So, because they were the nice guys, they came and fought the bad guys who had those weapons of mass destruction.
But they didnt find one of them. But they still claimed “There are weapons of mass destruction and we will find them”.
So, they looked for them, but they didnt find one, cause there wasnt weapons of mass destruction.
But they still claimed “There were and there still are weapons of mass desction but we cant find them, sorry guys… But remember those people are the bad guys and we are the nice ones ! It is no word of a lie !”

And Ruin is doing the same.
They came and they claimed : “There are Canadian guilds”.
So, because they were the nice guys, they came and fought the bad guys who had those Canadian guilds.
But they didnt fight one of them. But they still claimed “There are Canadian guilds and we will find them”.
So, they looked for them, but they didnt find one, cause there wasnt Canadian guilds.
But they still claimed “There were and there still are Canadian guilds but we cant find them, sorry guys… But remember those frogs (yes, Ruin is less polite than governments) are the bad guys and we are the nice ones ! It is no word of a lie !”

There is no Canadian guilds, if there was, we would not have only 20 players at night.

About Stonemist. Of course it belongs to Desolation almost 24/7.
Every morning we have to fight against a fully upgraded and fully suplied Stonemist. And every morning we have to deal with a map wholly controlled by Desolation.
Both due to your NA nightcappers.

But if you look the scores during afternoon when the map control is more balanced. The income is always higher for Vizunah.
This means that your advance and your illusionary domination are only due to your NA nightcappers.

And how can you say “We did not win because of Strong night force” ?
Look the income evolution (the second one) http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/15 your income rockets every night.
It’s easy to see that your strong night force made the difference.

Sorry but I am in the EU so your off the cuff insults towards me about a guild I don’t run but am a part of yes fall on deaf ears. I played during primetime and anytime I played even numbers on a map with Ruin I didnt see the things your talking about at all such as a losing scoreline. Unless we were being hammered by both VS and AS which was often the case. 40% of the time I was in Borderlands maps playing they were outmanned.

The picture speaks for itself past or present and there was a night cap to the top by Tagged servers and also 2 v 1 play. The latter is something desolation didn’t ever have the luxury of for one second.

As for weapons of mass desturction? XD pride hurt a bit much? Its a game and universal tactics were employed. You can’t be mad at anyone for that.

Your comments about Ruin being less polite than gvernments XD idk what governments your referring too but in terms of being the nice ones; I counted a 1/10 ratio of insults from your servers last week to insults from Desolation players. 4 threads were so bad they were tanked immediately. We couldn’t even get a match thread up through the week because of it. Not really what I call nice and probably why your community tailed off.

Most Desolation players even took the time to find soemthing good in the match as did myself. I learned how to play against a 2 v 1 so ty for the practice

Its just shows what I said in morning u were leading but daytime is more then morning.
Over all during full day we made more way more points then u made..

i only see one ironic thing here the fact you can come and get upset about things that carried you up tot he top. I looked at your link and the evolution and it doesnt suggest a thing about Desolation not being able to compete thru primetime especially when there was a 2 v 1 and we got an outmanned buff many times last week.

The server pulled together as a whole and the rest of it well you can’t blame other servers for evolving to counter your tacts.

Maybe they just got tired of being told who was the best? who knows lol

People could sit here and argue with you about being outmanned in primetime but you would never believe it.

The score is clear during 7 day match up u had 2 and a half day when ur score was higher then ours during day time…
that means u lost during that time frame as well…….

Everyone can easily see how Desolation Income rockets each night past midnight and how it falls every morning when the number of players is more balanced.
If Desolation was so strong, its income would not falls so much.

Nightcapping helped a lot Desolation and was the key for victory

I’m not posting here because i’m upset because of our 2nd place. I hope there will be nice fights next week, because Desolation won’t be able to take such an advance every night due to BT.
I’m posting because i’m upset about the disinformation and/or untruths spread by some players from Desolation.

From distant servers that used to speak a different language and are cross with the battle god anet because their enemys don’t seem to sleep and destroying their hard battle achievements at unhuman times.

With the urge to win they join your ranks for victory but at times where your fortresses are already overflowing and can not hold more fighter. So more and more who are dursting for blood and honor will have to wait for their time to come. I think your real test still lies ahead of you Desolation.

We were getting more points then u entire weekend when the numbers are really even….
But u don’t see it for some reason

Like I said in first post we have weak mornings and have to work on it…
But daytime is more then morning…

Everyone who fought in WvWvW from Deso witnessed 2 v 1 from the French regardless of what RUIN might or might not have said.

You keep saying we were ‘brainwashed’ by RUIN but the truth is you lost so ‘suck it in’ and get ready for T2.

I will actually thank the french players, in the last 48+ hours, I have never played better pvp, and I think it was fun for you also.

I don’t know how many times we fight against Arborstone.
We caught their keeps, camps and towers.

Moreover there is a strong antipathy between the competitve guilds of Vizunah and the ones of Arborstone.
I guess you don’t know the french competitive scene. 2v1 is something that only non French people can believe.

“5 thieves team " is a move enjoyed by Desolation.

Everyone know that one thief stealthed can prevent a group of players from taking a point.
So, to be sure to prevent us from taking points, they use 5 thieves.

Vizunah used the pvd mechanic for so long that they do not have right to complain when other servers tried to do that properly. Sad truth is if your coverage is not good enough, you will fall from top place.

thx funny thing is, in last clip, it was only 2 deso players can hold 5-7 ppl of their reinforcement , thats the reason why, even when we got outmanned , we still can hold our ground

This pretty much sums up. And clearly shows me why WvWvW is kinda kitten at the moment. You either bandwagon to the next fully packed 24h coverage server or you’re bound to be at lower tiers.

And its funny to see people trying to deny the graph that was showed. Why is that? Its only conclusive that Desolation won by “night-capping”, not saying its a bad thing, since its what Anet designed… but its funny to watch Deso bragging about holding their own in prime-time… its kinda easy when you’ve fully upgraded keeps to defend and good population against demotivated servers (when they see they lost everything… they get demotivated when they lose all efforts during their sleep/work).

Btw, so even ppl that hate [RUIN], will understand, Im not from USA, I live in europe, many of us actually do……but I think we only got 1 person that speaks french in the guild…

Don’t hate RUIN. They’re just another zergy guild. Could easily stomp them in Warhammer back in the day, was funny as hell. But props to Archaos for managing to gather all this people though.

As a random bystander to this awesome train of drama, I like that graph posted above. It pretty clearly demonstrates where Desolation’s advantage comes from whether they admit it or not. Isn’t evidence great
