Would be nice if we can trade proofs of heroics for dungeon tokens, Drytop, Silverwaste, Hot Maps currency.

Or maybe even add Black Lion items in there like trading 100 proofs of heroics for a black lion salvage kit etc.

Increasing WvW rewards could be a good way to pump more players into wvw.

This is a novel concept, how about a line of WvW armor and weapons that can only be purchased with these? Why do WvW players have to get hand-me-downs from PvE play all the time?

Because A-Net doesn’t care about WvW. Not all players want to do WvW and should still be able to access everything.

It’s how their system works. I’m not a fan either but that’s the reality. They simply care so much less about WvW it’s sad.

Just get superior siege for it and sell it on the TP (or donate to your guild). Superior Catapults go for 15s per 6 hero tokens right now.

That isn’t even a half gold an hour for most players. I use more siege than I make in proofs.

So by doing so I only loose 1 gold per hour if I follow a commander and about 3-4 gold if I do havocking… Great!

HE did not say it was the greatest idea there, but he contributed more to this thread pointing out valid uses for the currency to be exchanged into gold, than you have with your sarcasm. Some people don’t like to farm pve for gold and this is a decent a way as any in wvw to make a bit of money from your playtime.

They should really consider some of the HoT runes and inscriptions to be achieved in this manner. Although I think there should be more ways in general (pvp tracks, wvw vendor, etc) as I don’t really think it’s okay to have powerful stats and runes while proceeding to shut out non-HoT or anyone else that doesn’t want to pve in HoT. It’s unfair to have power creep and then shut off parts of the general population if you ask me.

Of course, the primary form of acquisition should always be the quickest/best route, but honestly the means of distribution are incredibly narrow atm.

I think the most straightforward way atm is to have the WvW armor vendor sell some new stats and runes , for heroics and badges, or memories of battle or whathaveyou.

Some of us kittening HATE PvE and have no interest in ever playing it…
we also should still be able to access everything from wvw/pvp.

I have thousands of hours in this game and will never be bored enough to play through the story quests, or enter a dungeon. If it gets that bad, I log out.

What I was trying to say was, there is no right and wrong way to play the game, and everyone likes different things…. but please stop forcing us into areas of the game we do not enjoy or wish to play, only for the rewards!

Eh, can’t we just get cool skins from WvW? And to make PVE people happy just make those skins tradable in the TP.

Ah, hell, I would be happy if we got a 1:1 copy of PVP reward tracks. At least better than what we get now …

Some of us had like 2000 or more of them stashed up. It helped. Not every addition has to be quantifiable in terms of gold-farm-meta for it to be useful/welcome.

So by selling superior siege worth 2000 Proof you get 50 gold…. This is great! 100 hours of wvw and this is your reward!

It’s not even enough to gear up a new lvl80 in full exotics! And you are happy with this?

I don’t really want more money out of WvW but I want SOMETHING out of it!

If you PvP you can get your Dungeon/OpenWorld skins/tokens without leaving the game-mode
If you PvE you can get your Dungeon/OpenWorld skins/tokens without leaving the game-mode
If you WvW… uh, well you can sell your mats/siege to buy skins from TP or go farm PvE/PvP just because you are fed up with the ugly exotic gear appearance…

If they just added HoT stat combinations to the WvW vendor it’d probably be a start. At least you’d have a way to get the exotic version of things.
