Honey, it’s absolutely about people running away.

You even included gliding in the OP, don’t even pretend.

You’re annoyed because you can’t use your completely lame, brainless to play roaming build to kill off someone not built to fight you, don’t even pretend otherwise.

Here’s an idea, maybe adapt to the reality that a roamer’s job is supposed to be cutting off reinforcements and flipping camps.

Not 1v1’ing every person you can see.

You want to talk about what’s killing WvW? It’s people like you.

No one needs a useless selfish roamer that just goes and gets pointless kills. You’re doing nothing for your server, you’re actually more pointless than a full glass pug that can’t push in a fight.

Haha, calling roaming builds lame and brainless. What a typical zergling, probably had your brain worn out by pressing nothing other than 1. Roaming is probably the one thing anymore in wvw that requires actual skill, considering how many zerglings like you would waypoint to gank the one roamer that got scouted.
Probably flipped more camps, ganked more dolyaks and ninja flipped more towers than you could ever do in your time pressing 1 in a zerg. You don’t even know what roaming is.

Your argument simply isn’t valid get over it. Trying to turn the replies into “daredevil hate” or a lack of skill on others players is pathetic. Nobody disengages and runs for it more than a DD. I don’t see anyone crying to Anet that their abilities should be on a timer. How about if Anet only gave thieves stealth every 60 seconds, or nerfed short bow 5. Lets make short bow 5 cost 10 initiative. How does that sound? Your argument is a joke. Have fun getting shafted in the future I hope it happens regularly. You clearly don’t see the common sense from the numerous replies. I’m out, you’re a waste of time.

My argument is more valid than you could ever grasp. You seem to have 0 knowledge about how classes work in this game. Like have you started playing this game yesterday? Because you have 0 sense of anything in this game, So get off your majestic high horse and actually play the game. Maybe you’ll learn some kitten. Using your daredevil hate to justify kittened mechanics. Could not be anymore patethic.

This thread really showed me how much of a crybaby the community in this game has become. Calling anything that kills you cheesy/brain dead/lame and boring. I honestly doubt any of you actually play WvW. The amount of pitiful hate over the fact that i play daredevil just shows why this game mode is going downhill. It’s all about pressing 1 behind a commander and otherwise sitting in a tower hoping nobody attacks it.

Continue to waypoint away like little scared babies, Justifying yourself with the fact that you have a crappy zerg build, And crying about being picked off while running back to the zerg.

I’m getting the kitten out of here so please go back to your usual tower camping and whatnot you casuals do. And for kitten sake please lock this thread. These people have the common sense of a dying goat and cant see past their own biases.

Yes please do “get the kitten out of here”. Bye little buddy (patting the top of your head) go stand in the corner, clench your fists, stomp your feet and cry because your argument is a complete joke. The way points work as intended.

lol more people using their salt over daredevils to justify bad game mechanics. Movement speed is part of DD balance (or unbalance), and regardless of if it needs to be nerfed or not, you should not be inherently allowed to escape fights that easily.
Kittening hilarious when zerglings call roamers bad and demand not fighting anything that they cant win over. Guess this community will continue to be a cucked downhill spiral into casualness. Might as well replace other servers with AI that cant fight back so even with the crappiest zerg build you wouldn’t stand a chance of losing.

If you run a zerg build that can’t fight 1v1 then don’t go around alone. Otherwise you deserve to die. And this isn’t about people running away. This is about people waypointing the moment i render on their screen. I’ve had people WP away while outnumbering us, leaving their friends to die.

When people WP before they’re in a fight to prevent getting caught in a situation they’re not prepared for they’re besting you in terms of awareness. DD has probably the best mobility and access to stealth on top of that. If you can’t surprise people you’re not playing the map right. Also, people who WP when spotting other players always pay a price for that: their position on the map. Porting will make them invest another couple of minutes to go where they wanted to go, team up, and maybe get caught anyway. In my opinion WP’ing is a move that requires skill to do it well: awareness of surroundings, judging your own capabilities and that of the foe(s) spotted, estimating the chance that more friendly or hostile players might show up, calculating if not giving up your position is worth the possible death and points for the other server, always keeping in mind what your escape routes would be….
It also has counter play: hiding out of line of sight, stealthing, using ranged skills for tagging, putting traps up / attacking when the player took some fall damage or got hit by some mob, baiting by appearing weak (no bufffood, playing a spec that doesn’t tell others that ganking is what it is built for, appearing engaged in something else like crafting, faking afk status or killing some mobs….), predicting your opponent’s movements and goals on the map.
Seriously, this mechanic is part of an interesting metagame that contributes to making roaming less dull.
