Whats the excuse now?
World pvp always snowballs to one side or the other, this is old news.
You americans clearly don’t know vizunah square.
Ignoring the skill argument (wvw = coverage not skill) and having played viz, BG would roll them. The coverage isnt even close. A BG/JQ/VS would be one hell of a match up though. I would love to see that happen.
The more you know!

no we have blackgate. Same thing different region.
Jade quarry won for a long time, then blackgate started to win, i was on SoR when it winned match for 6 weeks in row, then BG again. JQ and SoR both had a lot of victories against BG. Stormbluff isle was also there at first (leading non stop).
Vizunah square? Nr1 almost unbroken. BG has known a lot of shifts (loosing Merc was big one). Vizunah square? not at all.
@ Omnitek. I never said BG wouldnt defeat Vizunah square. They would 100% certainly do. I would incredible, massively love if Anet had the balls to force vizunah in a matchup with them. It would be the end of the fake morality that vizunah has now. The reason vizu wins is rather weak (especially coverage, and scouting wise) opponents, and not because they are strong. I know the diff. I Any day rather fight BG/JQ/SoR (any of them) then vizunah square.
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.
With the introduction of the new WvW map which eliminates the main reason why people dont completely transfer to a more populated server, whats the excuse players in the bronze, losing servers have to not transfer to a more populated server?
Should I keep enduring the player hemorrhage and join the leak or is Anet planning to do something about any time soon?! The rewards better not be really all that different at the end of the league, because if i see that a zerg-server gets enormous rewards just by sheer population and that I missed [given ANet skins and rewards history] probably the only chance to get really cool looking stuff (which is the main point of ‘rewards and advancement’ in this game) then I will have no choice but join the [boring] train and also jump servers, leaving my already devastated and desolated server to even worse ruins.
Anet, Im warning you, this is not healthy for anyone, either give us a “WvW home server” second server option or start merging servers, I love my server and guild but being the lone man vs a zerg of 50+ is not fun.
It seems that half of your post was crying about “they better not get real cool rewards”. The server I’m on (NSP) is looking at coming in next to last, Do a lot of people care? No. We spent this season taking on populations much larger than ours and it has done nothing but make us better. You can either transfer servers or help your server get better – it’s up to you.
As a member of your server , You’re spouting a bunch of lies. We are all mostly upset about the way this season have played out. You don’t speak for everybody a large group of us are sick of anet dancing around the issue of stacked servers. Why do any of these top 3 servers deserve any rewards for having stacked populations? If anything the lower population servers deserve the best rewards for putting up as much of a fight as possible despite their severe handicap in the population department.
By the 4th week of getting rolled NSP was outmanned basically 90% of the time. By the 6th week we were outmanned in both our own borderland and EB during RESET. Prime time and nobody wanted to play because 6 weeks of unbalanced matching against stacked servers is not fun or productive. Every body we had on the map could be overtaken by one of the enemies mini zergs. That isn’t fun, fair, or the way to make a sustainable game. If there is a season 2 and anet doesn’t curb the stacking then by Season 2/3 there will only be need for one week because there will only be three servers competing.

Thanks man, maybe I should call myself Balls.2011 and support this kitten backwards idea~ whoa, what’s in my coffee
Ensure when you are frustrated, you point goes to the one who created the playing field/game.
Would you lose it on a left fielder for catching the final out in the world series because his team paid more money than yours and your team never made it? No, you’d take it up with the mlb.
And take your server drivel to your server forums.

Does the team that won the world series have triple the amount of players on the field? Because if they did, I would in fact take it out on them and let them know they won by coverage.
No matter how you look at it, there is no denying; a server with greater numbers is very likely to be the winner for the most part, except for the weird case that the big server is totally clueless and the small server is super superiosly uppersly organized….and even then a big blob of chicken zergling can defeat a well organized group just by sheer numbers. That, is demoralizing. Also, there is absolutely nothing stopping a big server to be organized on top of having the number necessary to accomplish their goal. Like I said, I was ok with WvW being uneven, unbalanced matches, since at the end of the day it was just for the fun of it. When you make it a “sport” and give rewards based on performance, then you have an issue. Like everyone else has said in the thread; a sport should have equal footing if you are going to impart an unequal reward based on the assumption that everyone had an equal chance at getting said rewards
The winners were already decided before the league even started, all this league has done is reinforce the players hemorrage and demoralization of servers such as mine which has ranked 21-23/24 for the last 10 months. Something has to be done about this, as a community we have tried it all, from rallying and trying to recruit back people who left to other servers, setup server wide TS including all major and some minor guilds, commander training, meetings on reset, WvW events and rallies. It is demoralizing knowing that no matter how hard you try, you will be facing an opponent who has done the same thing….but has 2x or 3x your numbers.

Players are heavily incented to transfer to zerg servers. Edge of the Mists will make this worse. While I am sure ANet enjoys the transfer fees, I am also sure they recognize that severely unbalanced WvW pops make for poor gameplay and ultimately impact customer retention.
They need to make it rewarding for folks to stay on smaller servers, to transfer to smaller servers and to pop into WvW. While some people already do so for the joy of fighting in a target-rich environment, that is a relatively small group of folks. Small servers need some mass appeal.

I just got back from guesting to GoM. Your statements about your player population are exaggerated. L.A. wasn’t any where near dead and the champ trains where running strong.
If you were referring to me I am on DR please feel free to guest there and see the ghost town it is.

just triple the amount of gold, buying the best players. Queues exist for a reason (team size cap)
I get what the OP is saying. Queues and lags were reasons that encouraged population distribution.
The current situation is improving a lot. With JQ and SoR finding disappointment in the season; many of their guilds are branching out. This is leaving BG with a less satisfying experience and they will begin to explore options. Now we have EotM; creating even fewer reasons for population distribution; along with the hovering threat of a season 2 (and a possible revisit of the chaos the first one has wrought).
The simple truth about population shifts, is that no one transfers when they are winning. There has to be a catalyst or some sort of impetus. A dissatisfied guild will stay on a winning server, biting their tongues. The second there is a problem (long queues, lag, shift in fortunes) they will move.
If ANET keeps removing negatives of stacking; they won’t move; and people will continue playing while dissatisfied and will eventually quit.Lastly, one has to wonder if encouraging stacking is really the best use of limited development resources.
If long queues actually forced moves then this thread probably wouldn’t even exist. In reality people do not seem to care as much about long queues as other stuff.
As for the new map, it won’t contribute to the score and unless your opponents are equally stacked then you will be spending most of your time doing PvE stuff.
