they may have a “medium population” but that entire population is in wvw. their queues reflect this, and resemble a higher population server.

ET also transfers people over to SoS so is often fighting IoJ with 2x their numbers.

As an example we were fighting to take Garrison this morning and doing pretty well it looked like we would take the keep when suddenly 40+ SoS player came out of nowhere and attacked us. After we lost the fight for Garrison they vanished without taking any point on the map.

Just another example of why free transfers need to be stopped as soon as possible.

Right now I’m leveling up on Blackgate simply because events are easier to complete on a server with a larger population….

Also the mass majority of my friends are as gitty as a school girl on on prom night about the….dare I say it….Mists of Pandaria expansion. Most of my friends have been gladiators in world of warcraft since your mom and dad were in high school kissing behind the bleachers at the high school football game.

However those friends of mine said that is Mists of Pandaria is anything like Cataclysm they will retire their World of Warcraft jerseys and come over to the dark side….which is a game that isn’t almost a decade old.

I predict that they will get bored within a few months and then come over to Guild Wars 2…..once that happens and I reach 80 we will all be going to ET in a massive immigration that you haven’t seen since biblical times.

Ruin was mentioned in a book once…..I think it was called the Bible.

ANet has addressed the server transfer issue starting tomorrow which will curb some of Ruin’s dodginess. Can only server transfer once every 24 hours now. So ANet know what’s going on.

And ET has a medium size server pop for a reason. People don’t want to move there.

i reckon Kaine’s questions had been answered, and decision had already been made.
Either way ET will get filled up sooner or later, once more copies of GW2 are sold.

Anyways best of luck on your Server choice. Better transfer soon ET have an exciting matchup this weekend.

I was in both ET and Ruin. I joined Ruin during the beta and was interested in seeing how a guild would work in GW2. The Ruin zerg is fun to roll with honestly, but ET is a weak server with no PvE. Imagine doing events by yourself. Everyone is in WvW or on wait for it.

Ruin was quite like an army and not all ruin are bad people. I just needed more freedom and to try out other servers. JQ feels more welcoming to be an independent player on. As much as I like getting into WvW on ET, maybe we where better off on NSP.

I do think Ruin needs to have more openness with PUGS and the alliance needs to feel more like an alliance.

to sum it up, AA transfered there and RUIN followed them. So unlike a server like HoD, they haven’t been there winning from day1. They started on Northern Shiverpeaks first. So they had to play catch up. They also probably don’t have as big of an issue in getting all their members into WvW which makes them stronger. Titan does excellent during offpeak hours, but during peak hours, there are so many pugs flooding the queue, they can’t really get much in and be able to do much. So the server suffers during primetime hours. the organization and force just isn’t really there during that time. I don’t think ET has to deal with that problem much. However queues have been getting better recently. they arent 5+ hours like before, now some borderlands are instant most of the day and eb is like an hour or so.

Legend has it that when RUIN is asleep…..and the gold farmers have no one to sell to…they guard the towers

The quality of players on ET i think far outweighs any other server but HOD, hod and ET honestly are very very much on the same par. It’s just a matter of what the #3 team does that decides who wins. hod or ET.There has only been one competitive match between the 2 where ET fully tried to win, and they lost by very little

Honestly, ET is one of the larger servers. There are 4 servers, HoD, SBI, JQQ (see what I did thar), and ET. ET and JQQ will switch back and forth all the time in fighting HoD and SBI.

The last figures I see for the last competitive fight, on the 12th, I see:
HoD – 97.8k @ +270
ET – 48.8k @ +280
JQ – 47.2k @ +160

If you want to call that not the last competitive fight. Whose fault is that? They all count. you don’t get to pick and choose what does and does not.

which frankly illustrates the point. You gave up. HoD was only close to losing once. that game on the 9th. And what did we do? we fought back nonstop from 6k deficit to win.
The moment you lost the lead, you collapsed, and didn’t even come back to play the next two days.

now, you speak of your guild solo. Which I certainly am not directing this to you specifically. it takes a server to win. ET is not #2. The server has not shown the ability to keep fighting for more then 6 hours yet. And not once has it shown any strength, when its on the ropes. SBI has. SBI is #2. Even JQ has show stronger lasting power.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I was surprised how helpful Ruin has been in WvW considering what I have read on these forums. I don’t see why they are so hated.

The way I look at it is Hod has a huge Fanboy following and holds the number one seat. AA/Ruin/ET are basically the only ones to be able to take out Hod(and we would of if HoD didnt exploit the lords room(yes its and exploit that’s why Anet did something about it same thing with the feathers and the portal gun.)) Ruin always helps, we help each other in the guild and out.

All this hate about Ruin hating on pugs calling them names and useless… is just slander.
We where all pug once, and a server is nothing without its pugs. Im in ruin and I love it so much teamwork, so much fun. I just wish we had more of a night crew this way we can really take on Hod

What I’ve gathered from this post just to summarize….

Is ET is full of organized hardcore PvP guilds…..and an over populated HoD cheats to win.
