Guild Wars 2

Can some one explain how the que works for WvW. I que up then my party asks which borderland I qued so I tell them. Next thing I know they get in and I am still in que. This has happened quite a bit lately so I was just wondering how it works. Why not just get a number and as people leave you number goes down.

Having same problem, myself and 3 others queued up about 2 1/2 hrs ago, yet 8 others in our guild logged on and got instant queues. Makes no sense, tried relogging, rebooting, re everything and no luck. Have a feeling Anet added RnG to WvW queues!

it is a pool, with random selection of who get to go in next…..

We’ve been talking about this since August 2012- the “queue” isn’t broken, it NEVER EXISTED! As deadcell said, Anet’s love of RNG even extended to the WvW “que”.

This was confirmed well over a year, with a whole thread that concluded with an Anet Dev saying “we’ll look into it”, but at the time we still had culling, super-lag, thieves holding points forever in stealth, people climbing over walls legally, all kinds of nonsense about “secret” unconfirmed sources of points, and all kinds of other things that took priority over fixing the queue. And then, of course, the real queue problems kind of went away on their own as people got bored with WvW and/or left the game altogether. People just started rediscovering how messed up the queue system is once the Leagues started up. But yeah, it’s already been admitted LONG ago that there is no literal “queue”, people seem to be randomly placed into WvW working on some kind of “Mystic Forge” type of rules lol. So yeah, good luck Kjendar.
