In a zerg, all the classes seem viable and have varied roles to play.

From pew pew druid snipers to healer druid nurses.
From back-line targeting daredevil assassins to front-line staff 5 spamming daredevil battering rams (these daredevils are especially awe-inspiring. They spam staff 5 for the evade frame + damage and lead the front-line charge! I’ve even seen a daredevil staff 5 spamming commander leading a zerg charge)

Share your favorite zergling class to use, his/her role, and why!

Mutalisk swarm personally. Anything else is a pointless zerg unit.

Use to be ele before they destroyed power dmg and realty staff ele over all.

My favorite playing zerg class is Guardian as a spearhead.

It’s funny to have 2-3 tough Guardians jump in the middle of enemy group (10-15) do some quick mess and pull back. This will make enemy (if not have good organizing) scattered and waste some big skill.

Anyway, My personal favorite class is still ranger. I use ranger for scout and cut supply.

I like using Guardian as a, well, guardian. I run Sword+Shield/Longbow.

I like to use my shield, heals, and forcefields to protect allies and discourage enemies from pushing against my team, while using the bow to debilitate enemies and toss boons to my allies.

It was ele before all these changes. Now I do not have favourite zerg class. I try to be useful by playing whatever our zerg lacks.

PUG Zerg I choose guardian.. always been my favourite – who doesn’t like free stab?

Thief and elementalist. Thief is hell with a lower FPS and ping spikes during fights, so getting condi bombed is insanely difficult to avoid for me, even if I try to pick up any stragglers. So ele it is! Ele is my main anyway. This is for roaming mainly, but I have a staff and good gear to switch between roles.

Muta harass is OP and needs a nerf.

I use a hybrid short-bow thief for middle line poison / bleed drops. Being able to keep swiftness up for over a minute and being able to escape and retreat when we drop too many.
