NSP can build golems and nothing else.
Was it just me or did anyone else have more fun without the siege?
way more fun, even on an outmanned server
More fun with just golems and the stuff built into the fortifications.
Best part of the latest patch = no siege in wvw. TY ANET. Most enjoyable night of open field battles in a good while, lulz.
Ok apparently this doesn’t affect all people or servers, on EBG right now, Yaks Bend can only build golems, but the Mags zerg have Arrow carts, how are you meant to defend against that,
This is a crippling WvW issue and any server with massive zergs can easily dominate, as smaller numbers with no siege stand no chance, you should have disabled WvW, and put this bug on your highest fix list you have.
Mag…zerg..oceanic time…kaening own everything on eternal. None of this computes.
I believe you are confused or just making kitten up.
Still not able to place any siege. We have like 3-4 arrowcarts to defend 2 Keeps and 2 Towers on Elona Homelands…. EB has the same problems. Other maps seems to be affected too.
I can tell you that at this point, all Mag can build is Golems, KN is currently attacking our BL with Trebs, ACs and Rams. We were able to build a few ACs but not many, most are in Garrison. It seems to be hit or miss on other BLs and on EBG, Anet needs to get on this ASAP, it is in no way fair to anybody.

They have a pith poor record.
Ascended items available for WvW was coming out ASAP… took them a few months and they just did a half decent job of it at best.
The glorious February WvW update… came out in March, and was just a few traitlines for killing guards and making ballistas useful.
Arrowcarts, acknowledge to be overpowered, with a fix being worked on quickly! …and then weeks later they finally put in the effort to add a single extra piece of code regarding damage to siege.
I think it count’s destroyed/despawned siege in the siege cap limit.
When all siege is gone and limit is reached you can’t make any new one because the old one still holds the slot in siege counter… Then the enemy just golem rush you and if you have no siege you’re pretty much done (blob wars) :P At least that happened on EB (sfr/deso/kodash), borderlands seem to still have some siege slots available, but not for long I guess…
Till the fix – endless train of capping/recapping towers. Already starting to think if we should pm enemy commander and ask to set some proper flipping rotation :P

There is no reason major bugs like this should be going live when there are low cost ways to test things beforehand. I played WoW from release through WOTLK and things like this just did not happen.

And the reason people shout about a PTR is that they think that it will magically solve every single issue that turns up on live but not in testing.
This is not the case.
There are loads of games with test-servers and yet these still have rather big bugs turning up when adding the updates to live.
A test server is never exactly the same as a live-sever.

To correct you things far worst happened.
Vs the ptr argument when i said early on in this thread they need of more. Its the matter of a small internal alpha test vs several tens of thousands players in a ptr that prompts the bug more often. Which means its seen earlier and then they have something to look at to work towards. This would solve the bugs being as damaging as they are like this one when they get released.

I remember a patch, a big patch that mad WoW unplayable for about 20 hours even with it on PTS. PTS are still test servers. Not every little thing can be found before going live. Most to all AAA mmos are 95% bug free but there is always 5% bug. Its a pain to fix alot of them because fixing 1 can cause another or three to happen.

We’ve found a bug in the siege cap and are working on addressing the problem as soon as we can.
U fail hard. like 24 hour after the patch and we can’t place siege only golems. Not a pve bug dosn’t matter let fix it next month. Useless

They are working on fixing it. Simple as that.
They are simply hoping that the player-base consists of people that know that stuff can go wrong.
Losing T3 towers left and right to a couple golems and a rainstorm of 30 person spam on the walls. This is ridiculous.

Any Anet tags able to give us a rough ETA on a fix for this? it is starting to become stupid in WvW. You just can’t defend against a mega zerg with 10 golems fast enough to stop them from blowing through the gates. And now that everything is turning paper its like a karma train we all just go around in a circle capping everything behind the other zerg and they cap everything behind us.

No, hopefully they will NOT give us an ETA, because if they say something and then the fix doesn’t work people will whine about ArenaNet lying.

Well Drakkar Lake showed their true colours just now. Turned up on our border with a 60 man zerg to exploit the bug of us not being able to place any defensive siege against 12 golems. They had AC’s rams as well to boot. Not one AC/cata/treb was placed by Underworld BECAUSE OF THE BUG!

- Commander Tag now gets buried underneath green dots
- Party members show up as green dots in the map
Just take freaking WvWvW offline for the time being and punish the commanders of the servers that obviously abused this. Like dragonbrand.

The Devs actually disabled siege because they got killed and then someone tossed a ram on their corpse. True story.
We’ve found a bug in the siege cap and are working on addressing the problem as soon as we can.
19 hours and no fix. Any ETA or update on this?
Skill lag is also a huge issue. Has this been acknowledged as something you are working on also?

Anyone with even basic knowledge of development is fully aware that a test-environment is never the same as live, and there is always a risk that something unexpected turns up in live, that didn’t in the test-environment.
They are working on it and fixing it as fast as they can. I find it extremely unlikely that they are just sitting there doing nothing. This is hurting them way more than all people shouting about the end of the world on the forums, so of course their top priority is to get it back online.

And funnily enough I would actually think that people would whine even more if they turned off WvW. WvW is still very much playable, it just focuses more on open fighting than taking towers.
Different games have different code-structure, and also different issues and therefore takes different kind of time to fix. Quite logical.
Personally I have seen quite a few other MMOs where issues that made certain content in the game completely unplayable have been left into the game until the next big update.

Seriously, you must be trolling Nuvo. Did you see the epic crying and whining that ensued when the made a change to a single piece of siege?
Imagine what would happen if they shut down WvW totally. The crying would flood the entire internet with enough tears to crash the entire modern world communication grid.
With 2 week release, the QA department is probably a nightmare, so sadly this kind of thing is probably going to be a staple of the game from here on out.

I didn’t want to complain, but wvw is very unstable right now and this match-up is pretty much invalid since anyone can form a map zerg and golem rush whatever they want.
Well thankfully this week is kinda a “fluff” week with the new match changeups coming friday. I’d really like to be able to put down an AC though, lol. Or a treb. Heck, even a ram.

Yeah, last night we dealt with the same thing in FABL. We kept taking Garri and hills back and forth, back and forth. No one could build siege to defend, so it just ended up as a massive zerg fight (against a door) every 10 minutes to retake stuff that was taken back.
The WvW point game is pretty much ZvZ until this gets fixed.
Granted, the fights were VERY fun, but it’s definitely not how the game was “intended” to be played.
