Blade Shard Vendor and Buybacks
Did not realize that amning-day would be censored. That made it sound so much worse.
Or perhaps they could make blade shards purchasable with festival tokens.
They can still be mined off the Sprocket Generator currently . . .
But that’s still at a rare drop rate, with a max of 2-3 per day. Assuming I get 3, every single day, it’s still going to take me 71 days.
Edit: But that’s not the point that I’m looking to make. I’m arguing that it’s a really harsh penalty to have for a single misclick.

Has anyone else had a problem with this?

Yeah the profanity filter ignores spaces…

Enough to get that one blade shard needed to produce them from mystic forge. (1 glimmering dust, 1 shimmering dust, 1 blade shard and 50 watchwork sprockets → 10-15 blade shards)

I’m aware of that, but my point is that this is an exceedingly steep penalty for what would otherwise be solved with just a buyback mechanic. How many times have any of you been off by one click? When has that one click resulted in something that would take months to fix?
Certain other games have put in 2 hour buyback on any “unspoiled” items. It worked out very good.
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on an equal power base.”
212 blade shards isn’t really that bad to get. Get together a few friends and go beating on aetherblades in EotM. They have a great drop rate from that camp and there’s a nice achievement series for killing them.

Get some like-minded people together, make a guild?

There are an awful lot of guilds out there. It should be a pretty simple matter to find one that’s active in WvWvW.
That being said, I agree that a buyback option would be great to have. Other vendors have it. The only problem I could see would be using the consumable equipment packs you get as currency, since it’d have to take that back out of your inventory. Still, that doesn’t seem at all outside the realm of feasibility.
Well, it would obviously help someone in my original situation. Prevent that huge cost by just letting them buyback.
