Subj. How many hundreds of gold have you farmed so far?

i made 32g so far. im set for Life!

Subject 7 farm: 20g (Blew most of it on beating Liadri).
Deadeye: 80g
Tyre Ragemaw: 20g so far. Getting very efficient at it

I hope to be able to fund my precursor using gauntlet farming alone. I’ve heard some people farming hundreds upon hundreds of gold. That’s real dedication!

you could kill deadeye with 5 gambits about once or twice a minute, 60s gross income from the bags, 40s net if you buy the tickets. 20-40g per hour depending on how fast you could queue up and fight him

Same with subject 7 pre nerf. Over the past week i averaged about 25g/hour for a total of 230 gold.

330G when the patch hit, 540G now, but I’ve made 2 more sets of Scholar’s runes and bought some inventory slot expansions, some bank tab expansions, bought some more sets of armor, etc. Probably would be at 620G or so without having splurged.

I’ve pulled about 150g from deadeye so far with no signs of slowing. Killing him about twice a minute with 4 gambits if I have an arena to myself.

It’s getting boring though, so I usually only do about 25-30g a day now. It’s just too hard to pass up such a lucrative temporary farm though.

Prepatch, 5 gambits (fire, frailty,outmanned,crippled,exhausted)

He ported to you if you didn’t move. The quaggan did not aggro. Pop everything and burn him before he ports again. Reflect/evade/invulnerable/blind the kill shot. Win.

Post patch, 4 gamits (same but not outnumbered)

He ports more often and he doesnt port to you anymore. So you either port to him or pull him, dps while reflect/evade/invulnerable/blind the kill shot, he ports again, pull/port to him, kill.

Yep, I lost gold!

And that doesn’t include the gold invested for zerker warhorn, force sigils, food…

You ain’t alone Vol , during pre-patch 7 i bought my warrior new zerker weapons , new zerker trinkets , modified the sigils , about 10 resets and died about 50-80×...i guess i lost what 50ish-60ish gold? the weapons and trinkets costed 20g alone.

That doesnt include what i had to re-spec my thief and the times i died on him , but ive converted well over 3k tickets

Its got till the point during farming him i can convert about 200 tickets before being completely bored out of my mind and fall asleep at the pc for like 5 mins…

XDDD i did it only for about.. 20-30g total. might pay him a short visit today but it’s been hard to find a dome all for meself. and i tend to get caught up chatting with others and what not. lol. surely not the most efficient “farmer”. ://

I won’t give the exact number of how much gold I’ve made so far, but I started out a couple days ago with 100g and currently have enough to be able to buy all the required materials needed for Sunrise, including Dawn.

I made 200g doing it, used it to craft a warrior from 0-80 and get full Exotics, for 3 days of farming? Worth it. At 50g now

dang. do some of you guys just do it nonstop? what’s the longest session you’ve done on any given day since you started the farm? just out of curiosity. : ))

I admire the people that have the fortitude to farm this guy for hours on end. I can do the farm extremely efficient, but I get tired of it by about 1-1.5 hours in.

Being able to afford a legendary off this after a few days? I know its a good farm, but that’s still gotta be 10+ hours a day. Crazy.

they only nerfed farming deadeye with warriors, but as I can see, thieves and guardians can still farm him…juuuuuust greeeeeaaatt ….. -__-

That’s because warriors were taking advantage of a buggy aggro mechanic by standing at the edge of the arena and waiting for his first teleport. Zero risk, zero skill, tons of reward. That deserved a fix, full stop.

Also you still should be able to do 3 gambits on a warrior just fine. But you know, skill and all.

I just started farming him today, but the thing is my main was an engie so I had to spend a bit on buying zerker armor for my thief, then I had to learn how to play him while killing deadeye (which involved a lot of deaths). But in the end I still made 15g for about 2-3 hours of playing so I’m happy

I’ve made my fair share of gold from him, but sadly much of it is being negated by the inflation being caused by this farm. Just look at ectos and precursors to see what I mean.

I think the ecto price is more to do with the speculation of t7 mats and now that people cant farm CoF p1 any more to convert tokens to level 75 bits of armour to salvage for ecto.

That and the fact that there are far fewer people doing world boss events and are busy farming champions, the spike in almost all high level rares is proof enough.

Also, with the farming, legendaries are now reachable for more people, and those that always wanted one but couldn’t afford it are now dumping gold into the components to make their legendaries. Driving up the price of precursors and t6 mats.

I’m not farming all day every day, I’ve been going by Sprockets (you get them out of every box). Doing that, my sprocket total and thus income go up each day. Today I spent ~3 hours and netted ~130g, a profit of about 80g. Tomorrow that profit will go up to about ~120g.

Other than that, I’ve been leveling lower alts in the Pavilion.

Just bought my first ever precursor with profits obtained solely from Gauntlet farming. Thank you Subject 7/Deadeye/Ragemaw!

Too bad i dont have a theif or a zerk guard. Too bad they nerfed dunwell so warriors cannot do it easily now. I farm tyre for like 2-3s less and i made about 120g total. Getting kind of bored though. ): + all thoes new people taking my arena

Enough to not have to do any content I don’t like for the sake of materials/gold ever again. On a related note, why are guild banks capped at 1000g/ section.

The guardians and thieves were just as mindlessly easy to kill deadeye with pre-patch as a warrior was. Don’t kid yourself. It’s just so terribly hard to activate tripwire prior laying the smackdown on deadeye. Or hitting f1 and porting right over to him. Takes some real skill there. The only difference is that post-patch, It’s still a cakewalk with both thieves and guardians; while warriors have to work for the kill. The warrior used this mechanic in the first place because they have no reflect (shield doesn’t even work on killshot…) like a guardian, or insane gap closer like a thief.

And yes, post-patch, I’m using a thief to farm deadeye.

I did some research. I bought 100 gold worth of tickets and started farming.
That is 2500 tickets, 500 runs, 2 days, died 7 times, bought 35 tickets and here is the result.
On average 1 bag contains:
-9,95 silver
-4,8 sprockets
-2,5% chance for a ticket
-0,3% chance for a lodestone
-0,6% chance for a portal
-0,2% chance for a tuning crystal
-0,2% chance for a weapon skin
and an unkown chance for a recipe.

now to find a use for the massive amount of sprockets I got

I tried looking into the recipes for profiting from the sprockets but the margins are extremely slim.

I would stick to the charr in tier two if you are set on farming with your ranger. You will be making alot more money per hour this way.

you shouldn’t even try this as a ranger, i tried farming him to somewhat of a success. between thieves and guardians, farming him as a ranger is so much slower. i farmed him for about 1 1/2hours – i honestly don’t how people can just stay there for more than 2 hours (made about 14 gold) seeing thieves and guardians take half the time i took to take him down was even more daunting to stay there even longer. after that, i really couldn’t just stay there.. i needed/wanted to do something else.

Pretty much this.

I average about 20 seconds per. My best loot was 6 Charged Lodestones and a Sovereign Spatha skin.

My soul dies a little every time I queue him.

i honestly dont mind farming him, bit of music goes along way, i just find an album i havent yet listened to on youtube and farm away until it’s finished and then take a break.

I don’t mind farming him so much. I burned through 2k tickets today, but that was too much even for me. Putting it down to 1k a day instead.

As for how to get through it, music + podcasts + CVG’s GTA 5 previews. So good.

What’s better. 4 gambit Deadeye, or 5 gambit Ragemaw? Ragemaw takes me about 10 seconds longer. I get cores instead of lodestones. No weapon skins yet.

I was a big farmer in gw1 and I promised to myself no to farm in gw2 because I didn’t progressed in gw1 at all, I haven’t maxed out even 5 titles durin 2k hour playthrough but what the heck! I sacrificed couple of days for easy gold because we don’t know if there will be better ocassion in the future.

Thanks for the numbers, in my case I farmed about 17 lodestones, 41 portals ans 14 skins.

You said it yourself its because of boredom >.< Man I want that 600g but I can only take so much farming at a time

I really love the lodestone drops. I mean, it’s cool that they’re making them more accessible on the TP, but when I get them personally I just use them. When the patch hit I had only 2 of my characters in Scholar’s runes. By the end of the week I’ll have all 8 in runes.
