Guild Wars 2

Seems Braham, Rox, Marjory, Kasmeer, (upcoming Asura) are shaping up to be new version of Edge of Destiny. forged by combining (with player) to defeat Scarlet (who may join too in a post defeat twist, esp if one of the others gets killed). Group is racially diverse and a mix of classes too. ideal to form core team for player to defeat next Dragon in future expansion story.

I like the idea but I can’t see Scarlet being a part of it

Yeah, I can see something like that happening but with these differences:

Kasmeer dies on the end of LS 1 (There are 2 humans and Jory is more important I think)
Scarlet won’t be the sylvari member because she is female like Caithe, and the members of “Destiny’s Edge 2” have been of different gender than their race representative of DE1 (that is why I expect the asura coming next patch is male). Canach? :O
Group race/profession combo would be like this (DE1 and DE2):
Male charr warrior – Female charr ranger
Female norn ranger – Male norn guardian
Male human guardian – Female human necro
Female sylvari thief – (If Canach) Male sylvari warrior
Female asura elementalist – ? (Male asura engineer?)

I sincerely hope they don’t do this.

Braham and Rox work good as a duo and Kasmir and Marjory do too. Shackling the 4 (plus a yet unannounced asura) to each other would just not make a lot of sense, as there is no reason for them to actually stick together. Sure, let them fight Scarlet as a team, but don’t force creating a team just “because Destiny’s Edge did it”.

If they kill off Kasmeer that’d be fine (though I hope she lives, since I like her) but if they insist to introduce a sylvari into a group that already feels forced just so very playable race can be part of it, that’d just be a stupid idea.
AN’s insistence on involving every playable race in their stories in equal measure is the exact reason why a lot of the Personal Story was as bad as it was. If they want to show us that they’re turning over a new leaf with their storytelling approach, they must stop doing things because of equality and inclusivity, and focus of just telling a good story.

Pls Anet no more betrayals in this game.

Ah Canach, yes he’d fit in the mold for sylvari or opposite gender and warrior class, and not be introducing a new character.

Theory of Kasmeer perishing (self sacrifice tradegy that binds group!) works especially as she is currently eye candy with no negaitive traits, past baggage or past loses. Infact posed to us as very nice and balanced and clever. And is a 2nd human female… can’t have 2 in team.

It doesn’t seem like it’s forced. Due to circumstances, both the duo of Rox and Braham and Marjory and Kasmeer have been working together or near one another. I mean you can find all 4 now at the Dead End as it is. So they are talking and hanging out and getting to know each other better.

It just doesn’t seem far fetched to me and has been slowly coming together.

It would suck if Kasmeer dies. She’s the first of these characters that we met if I’m correct.

I suspect we (as the player) would be the leader, to avoid the repeat and dislike of Trahearne as story leader. Asura seems lined up to be some clever ranged male type, tho probably not an elem (Zojja is), unlikely a mes (due to kasmeer) so likely an engineer who perhaps studied or is a former minion of Scarlet (or mentor) so comes in with specialist or insider knowledge.

Scarlet killed her former Asuran mentor so I wouldn’t think it will be that route. Perhaps it’s an Inquest member who had knowledge of Scarlet. Or perhaps there is no connection with Scarlet at all aside from the fact that she’s been causing havoc and chaos across Tyria over the last 15 months.

I don’t know if the Trahearne is disliked over being the story leader. It did bother me a bit, but i waas more bothered over there was no development of why he was the leader. even as you play there wasn’t much to show why he was chosen to be the leader. He had a lot of remarks that came off self centered and idiotic, often him just being more like an image while you did all the leading.

But anyway. You are probably right that the engineer is the most likely thing. Unless this is an outcast asura or just one that likes to stand out, the general asura belief is that they prefer brain over brawns so this would exclude the warrior, maybe thief, and guardian.

It seems more doable that you are the 6th member and made the leader rather than just having a Destiny’s edge where you are just the outsider.
