I'm Sad...
Game is no where near dead.
We got lots of content today, more coming soon. And the majority of people seems to be enjoying the patch.
I’m not sure if you’re serious but Wildstar is made by a completely different group of people (Carbine, not ArenaNet).
well NC soft is part of it i think
Im not trying to be negative…its just really sad that all my people left and the new content is already boring
Well, move on with your friends bud, most of my friends left as well. We all tried ESO but that game flopped so hard and i just returned to GW2. No other MMO offers such an immersive combat experience (and plenty of other things i dont feel like jotting down). anyways, although my friends have left, my fiance refuses to play any other game, so right now were working on our world completion to get a legendary.
NCSoft is the publisher. Carbine and ArenaNet are the companies that produce Wildstar and Guild Wars, respectively. The release of Wildstar is unlikely to significantly impact the release of new dungeons in Guild Wars 2.

Again , another opinion implying the majority like this (‘seems to’), guess you haven’t read the negative comments or you just don’t bother counting them as legimate. Many more ‘seem to’ not care for many aspects of the update, specifcally the forced jumping.

I go to any zone, I see other players. Not dead. Fact.
Really?
Seriously?
No. Stop it.
I really hate it when people assume things that they don’t even bother to check. The game is no where near dead. I see an overwhelming amount of players in most areas.
Oh yeah, and your friends are not the entire population of GW2.

There was a “season 2 is a disaster” thread up 5 min after it launched, I only counted the ones with reasonable arguments.
And no I don’t only count the forums voice. So many people only come here to b!tch, that’s just how it is. Go to INSERT MMO HERE forum and see for yourself.
this game seems to be dead.
Only if you’re blind or a compulsive liar.
And the “forced jumping” was really basic stuff …
You shouldn’t worry about this for future episodes, only reason it was in this time was to continue the zephyrite theme, since they crash landed there.

And specifically, the forced part was the tutorial where they were teaching people how to use the crystals in case they were new. The rest of the zone has very little usage of the crystals beyond the scavenger hunt and jumping puzzle parts. If anything it means they need to work on how they present tutorials more than anything else.
If GW2 is dead, i’ve played something even worse than dead then…no map chat, not a single soul aside from npc in a f2p game i tried long ago from lv 1 to 13 (and then i stop playing).
there are always people replying on map chat everywhere i went to, the map is quite big to hold 100 player (maybe more, i dunno the cap) without everyone seeing each other. Your friend =/= GW2 population. Even more, if there are complain pop up in forum, THATs a PROVE that the game still ALIVE. If critics means dead game, find me an MMO title where there are no critics at all, 100% people love it.
ps: i really hope zerging train hasn’t killed my brain cells like what happen to some people here.
Due to the megaserver there will always be people in every map. That is how it works, fill up a map, and start a new one. Thus, there will always be players where you are.
As far as LS 2 – there are those who like the challenge of jumping (aspected), and many who don’t. tbh I’d rather fight than jump.
I agree with the OP on what GW2 needs to do to not only survive but thrive.

Wow, for not trying you are very successful in being negative.
I respect that you find the new content boring. Many, including me, don’t share your opinion. Try another game mode, like wvw. And if you answer “Tried that, boring, only zerg vs zerg” then I could try to point out that you were wrong, but I think what you have to realize then is: GW2 is not the game for you. That is natural and doesn’t say anything about the game necessarily. I find chess boring but I can see why it is loved by many people who in turn do not like Go, which I vastly prefer.
“The game is dead because I need to emphasis how important my suggestions are. If Anet doesn’t follow my suggestions they’ll be as good as killing it.”
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
If the game was dying their PvP players would be leaving .. oh, right, already happening.
If the game was dying their PvE players would be leaving.. ah, right, already happening.
If the game was dying there would have been server merges.. Oh , right.
I think OP has a valid point.

People come and go, because you know… the game is free once you’ve acquired it.
Also, people have been requesting underflows forever, and ANET delivered; that’s the function the megaserver system fulfills, basically.
It’s no wonder that you guys find the zones empty, though. With such a repellent attitude and bitter point of view, I’d steer away from you as well.
