[ODIN],[NaCl] – Tarnished Coast
Please forgive me for bringing this up in such a fashion, but I thought you guys might have chimed in on one of the other existing threads about this, by now. Can we have some kind of sign about the bauble achievement in World 2 Zone 3?
Are we missing a bauble?
-or-
Is it a bug?
I’d be okay with “yes, you’re missing one”. Then we would have the fuzzy slippers of knowing we’re not wasting our time.

If it is true that ANet really is looking at each thread, I can’t see why they haven’t said anything at all in the existing threads.
They must know about it and we are getting very disappointed that we can’t even get the robotic, dull answer “we have it in our tracker” or “we are working on it”.
People are spending hours to search for something that might not even be possible to find and that is something that definately causes people to get disappointed, stop caring and stop playing.
A simple answer changes that.
Silence doesn’t.
Also get Josh Foreman back to the forum, he was awesome and actually replied to people.

Didnt they mute Josh Foreman because he was too honest on the forums? What a shame.

Most of us fully understand that not everything is going to be perfect and that making these games takes a tremendous amount of effort. But since we’re completely ignorant as to what is going on at the developer end of things we need you guys to keep us informed.

Guys, it’s obviously bugged. Get over it.
We will see a fix with the Tequatl Patch or never. Probably never if Josh decided to take a fews days off after putting in tons of hours for the SAB W2 to get released and then hotfixed. He probably has to compensate a lot of overtime anyway.
Josh obviously got some problems after talking too openly so probably he decided to get his forum posting privileges removed or they removed it for him for the time being.
I loved the open communication style but now we are back to normal procedure: Do not talk about any bugs, never admit it is a bug. Only list issues in the patch notes that got public attention (these are industry standards…)
Communication and support policy at Anet is back to the sub par standards we all know and hate.
We saw a glimpse of what could be possible. But that’s not the corporate governance we are dealing here with.
Josh, if you read this: I am not a SAB fan, but man you are awesome! Any company I know would hire someone so passionate about his work in the blink of an eye. Keep up the great work, we players appreciate guys like you! You are what keeps us playing the game not the managers and their strategies and policies.

@William
It’s funny how you first say “get over it” and then you complain about ANet only listing bugs that get alot of attention.
You’re arguing against yourself.
I disagree with you. We shouldn’t get over it.
Also it’s not “obviously bugged” because even if that many players have searched that much, there can be something that has been missed. Something small, maybe even invisible.
Silence makes people waste time and energy and come out disappointed.
We need an official answer to this to know if it’s worth to look more or if we should wait until a patch.
Claiming it’s “obviously bugged” really doesn’t help, especially since you’re not one of the creators of SAB.

We really need a baubble counter.

Or one of those daily/monthly tones.

As explained, we can’t get a bauble counter with the current technical limitations of their game engine.
But it would be useful if the achievements instead contained a text showing how many baubles we were to get.

Right now they say they cant, but in a year or two? Who knows.

Truly disappointing. Silence is far worse even than saying “we can’t do that”
so do we know anything about this¿?
No word, yet?
Well, I like the game too much to quit, but this is unacceptable. No gems on credit card for you! One year!
Bwhaaa, that felt dorky.
I guess, the best thign we can do is trying to collect together all data as much as possible about all positions of spheres that we can find together .
This plus all locations of the chests and hidden rooms.
The last we have found already all 17, among them are some that are needed to get all spheres as like the typical 3 chests that are needed. I found at least 3
I strongly believe, that there must be out there enough people which searched the whole zone already multiple times within infantile.
Best thing we can do together is to documentate every single fond sphere here until we have foundall.
Because we can’t be 100% sure, if this is really a bug and not only a cause of having maybe 1 single super hard hidden sphere not being found.
I saw for example 1 sphere at a spot, that was half way stuck in a rock, but i was able to get it by just moving to that rock touching the sphere.
I think this is the only way how we could possibly find out, if its really a bug, or not, unless a nice Anet emplyee would come to this thread and post just a number of how many sphere the zone exactly has.
Because if we would finally at least know, how many spheres are exactly needed to get the achievement, we would be so much further and could just roam the zone, until we have found the amount of spheres that has been told should be the needed amount…
Best documentated with attached pictures, so if some people would have the time to do that, I think that would be very helpful

Which one was stuck in a rock? All of them seemed clearly visible to me.
Theres one sticking in a rock at that place where you have to jump down after one of those purple teleporters..
The point where you have to jump down, that is right in front of that teleporter.
Can’t describe it good enough, sadly I forgot to make a picture.
But I’ll jump quick in to infantile, to make one… wait a few mins

On the nose of one of the faces or after that checkpoint?
Heres the pictures:
Made 3 to clearly show the spot.
1 is them entionend spot where you have to jump down, when you turn around you can clearl see where it is, that shows picture 2, its the checkpoint with the icefield and the push stone to it.
Jump carefully down there and you land on a ledge with a rock in that 1 sphere is stucking in.
Picture 3
PS: there where the blue glowing is, it floats a bit up n down, the moment where i took the picture was bad,, when it floats slightly higher its better visible.
But you can clearly see, that its sticking in that rock!
Somethign that can quickly be overseen, if you don’t look there for spheres and jump just too fast down…

Yeah. I just now got to that one, since I’m taking screenshots of each bauble, and noticed it bobbing up and down.
You think this one is the key sphere that is missing ?

There’s a checklist.. or a few.. check with them if this one is on their lists.
I think they have 41 baubles of various color so far.
when reading it, its already in the list …

Is this Josh in disguise? :P

Likely not. And even if it was, you wouldn’t get to know it.
And dang… A pity, it looked nicely hidden and possible to have been missed. But I guess they really have made an effort of searching.
lol, no im not Josh xD
What made you think of that ?? ^^
PS. this is the part where its in the list for those which got the hopes as like me that this is the key sphere missing ..
Area 3
If you bought a Key, then drop it off at the start of this area. You won’t need it for a bit.The first [BLUE BAUBLE] is somewhat easy to miss, even though it’s on the normal route. When you trigger the Checkpoint and either use a Shortcut Cloud or the Portal Block to teleport up to the nearby window, keep an eye for a ledge to the right as you fall. The bauble is half-embedded in the rock, but will be collected if you stand on it.

To clarify how many has been found and noted (includes key-chests baubles):
41 blue baubles
1 green bauble
13 yellow baubles
2 red baubles
6 purple baubles
I also think we should keep our discussion going in one topic, not multiple (strange that a moderator haven’t merged them like they usually do really quickly. Tinfoil-hat-mode: They haven’t because they don’t want to respond to either topic.), e.g., https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/sab-bts/Bugged-Master-of-Baubles-World-2-Achievement/first —since multiple topics is just thinning out the amount of feedback they are getting at one thread.
PS: The bauble people mention is half-embedded in the rock I’ve always spotted normally, but probably because I see it from up top and just drop down on to it. I’ve also taken care to spend at least 10-15 seconds, if not more, to look for baubles while I drop down in various locations, always making sure I drop as small a distance as possible between each ledge available.
