Keep Super Adventure Box Casual
I agree. I love that this is essentially a dungeon I can do by myself on my own time without needing other players.
Yup, I agree as well. I think it’s awesome that they made Super Adventure Box completely playable solo, or in any sized group up to 5. It’s fun either way.
It would sort of go against the principles of the S.A.B. to make parties mandatory. A lot of the challenge is in exploration and jumping skills, which a group isn’t going to be a big help with. Also, each player is without their regular profession abilities and gear, so it’s not like the normal “party synergy” is a benefit here. We can’t even revive each other. And what “old school” 8-bit game required 5 players? Certainly nothing that inspired Super Adventure Box. Heck, for a long time, anything with greater than 2 simultaneous players was pretty rare.
When I first saw the five piano-style keys at the stage checkpoints, I was filled with dread. I assumed it was some kind of cheap device to force us to have 5 players just to progress (until I found out how it really worked, of course).
In the rest of the game, I have no problem with there being content that encourages and rewards groups more than individuals — even stuff that requires groups, since they want to promote this as a social game, and that’s a big draw of MMOs — but there could definitely be more solo content. It would be great if they really perfected their difficulty scaling for groups, and introduced a new mode for dungeons or fractals, or something new, where we had a choice to do it solo or in any size group up to 5, or even 10.
Oh, and just to get it out of the way, because I know somebody is going to post this sooner or later: This is call MOMRPG for reasons!!! It is meat for raids liek 40 mans so gtfo and play supre mario bross or world of minecraft lol!!!!!!!!1

I agree as well. There already is a wealth of content in GW2 that requires a team, whether it be a random make shift team as in DEs or WvW as something more organized like Dungeons/Fractals or sPvP. Continuing with SAB as it is now is a very good way to add something to the game that accepts team play but is essentially made to be soloable.
