[sPvP][Mesmer]Scepter "buff"
There is no condi meta. It’d be nice if conditions became powerful enough to be useful, but I can’t see this happening.
The change is still bad, but mostly because Scepter AA is still going to be terrible. Its problems are hardly in the lack of raw damage, if the firing speed, handling and projectile weren’t all as bad as they are. Increase speed by ~50% instead, including projectile speed, and it might start being useful.
But really, “condition meta”? \raises eyebrow\
I don’t agree with most of Helseth’s arguments. Yes, this will make PU even easier and stronger, but I think IE will give it more than the Scepter Autos.
For everything else, you don’t really use Scepter, and if you do, it’s a nice addition, but not something supremely necessary.
If anything, it will be strong as a condition buffer for condition builds (Bleed and Burn hiding behind low duration Torment that’s constantly applied) assuming they remove Torment first.
One of the strongest condis at the moment on a AA.
Seriously? I’d take burn, immob, cripple, blind, chilled, fear or poison over torment, tbh.

Yep the math shows that a staff traited with IE will apply over 100% extra condition damage versus the scepter buff but that didn’t seem to bother Helseth.
