Just to be clear this being a stun break now is on purpose. Sorry it got left off the notes.

Thank you for clarifying.
Can we get an answer about the Stone Splinters trait as well? The tooltip says it should be a +10% increase, but it seems to be only a 5%. What is actually intended?
+1 to Aleesthes’s question.
I also have another one though.
“Salt Stone: This trait has been merged with Stone Splinters.
Stone Splinters: This trait has been moved to the Adept tier. It now deals 5% bonus damage to bleeding opponents and increases outgoing bleeding duration by 20%”
Quote from patch notes.
It says Salt Stone was merged into Stone Splitters, and Stone Splitters was moved to adept.
In trait Stone Splitters Tool tip says “Deal 10% more damage when you are within 600 range of your target.” and Serrated Stone says “Bleeds you apply last 20% longer and deal 5% more damage to bleeding foes.”
My question is did you get these two trait mixed up? and if not then back to Alethes’s question
Also for fresh air trait, there is no 5 secs cd, is the description wrong or is the trait itself malfunctioning atm?

There is a cooldown, it procs from when you crit, not when you leave/enter air. It’s from crit to crit it seems.

Where is the cd if it procs from crit to crit, one attack after the other towards those with high prec. Just do this simple testing, use air skill 1 after you return to air from the first proc and switch to another attunement. it will be the same, air immediately comes back on.
Ooooo, with Arcane Shield being a stunbreaker, I may try a arcane build!

Was nerfing everything that kept us alive and made us viable on purpose too?

Still…it’s that trait that make 30 Air so viable, very few people would go 30 Air for tempest defense as we haven’t got kd on demand, it’ll eventually be fixed..but really all you get is lightning strike as all your skills are on CD anyway.
Interesting, I was thinking Arcane Shield would make a better stunbreak than glyph of elemental power, I suppose both are stunbreaks now..
GoEP is still kind of a wonky skill to have as a stunbreak.
Yeah, by making goep a stunbreaker, it takes its main strategy out of it – you will no longer have to think which attunement is best to use it, and build a strategy around it, becauser you must use it as a reaction skill. You can always pick other stunbreakers, but in a glyph’s build, it won’t work. The instant cast is nice, though.
A question for Jon: Is the Final Shielding trait also a stunbreaker?
GoEP doesn’t feel like it should be a reactive skill. If you’re running multiple stun breakers, then this is the one you pop first, I guess, so it’s active for more of the fight.
For WvW I could maybe see this being used along with Earth trait VIII (currently mislabeled as XI, still) for stability on earth switch. This means you don’t have to immediately cast your armor of earth when running into a zerg for stability, you can drop static field/frozen ground then switch to earth as you pass their statics/spectral walls.
If you get hit by a static/stun after that, then switch to water, pop GoEP and enjoy aoe chills off your spells for 30s.
