Same deal with Glyph of Renewal. It is an issue. They either need to work like they used to work but only while underwater, or these skills shouldn’t be useable underwater at all.

The fix isn’t what I’m worried about. its the fact that this is even a problem at all. This shouldn’t have been over looked, the fact that it has is disturbing.
Your about a year late bring this up. I guess it effected you so NOW your going to make a big deal about it hehe. Any way yes it would be nice if you could target in the 3d under water but you can also cast spell with ground targets if you just click on the spell 2 times it will auto you as the center of the cast.

Um… Guardian have to deal with the ground targeting if they make there ability as such Mesmer has ground targeted ability as is Warrior have only one set of ground targeting ability but they do work underwater not sure why any would use them like that but they can work. It has nothing to do with the class water is a bit underwhelming. It seems your looking for something to hate about this update to ele i am not sure if going after Arcane wave getting a ranges on it is the right way of doing this. Arcane wave is a lot better this way its Arcane blast but on a shorter ranges but its aoe and its a burst finisher I am not sure if they could of made it any better may be put it on a 1,500 ranges and not 900? I mean realty i am comply at a lost what your trying to even get at.

Have you seen the status of the Mesmer this patch?
Lowest tier, I’d put it as far as the weakest sPvP class thanks to the MASSIVE nerf to phantasms, the Mesmers best source of damage and every build NEEDS phantasms.
Meanwhile Engineers are still running amok with even more survivability with their high condition damage still untouched.
Warriors are shredding with Longbow+Dual Swords instead, because you can spam immobilize.
Necromancers are running power, with Dhuumfire because Dhuumfire is a must have.
Rangers are still faceroll easy, except with better survivability.
Guardians are still being used as bunkers only, despite getting a good damage buff.
The viable versatility of builds is just awful. They fail to see the problems time and again.
Arcane and Water Magic are not overpowered ArenaNet, just that every other Grandmaster trait sucks balls. That simple.
You’d think after this having happened several times before (like thrown versions of turret skills not being updated) you’d think Anet would double check things like this…

I complained about that since the glyph was changed, but Anet doesn’t really care. Those spells are completely useless now underwater.
I still don’t know why they couldn’t just make a new skill.
Have one that is self-AoE and another that is ground target.
