Thinking of a far point holder/delayer to help the team at other points.

Staff with super heals and toughness, great condi cleanse? Is that the ticket?

Any build/play suggestions from the experts?

I can speak for soloQ in Unranked. Have had about a 70% win rate with it all solo. Don’t really care for Ranked at the moment.

I run the meta Celestial Staff build with Ether Renewal and 3 cantrips and can hold well/delay with solid cc and heals. It also works great in team fight supports.
