Conjured Weapon Change Idea
From what it sounds like, you want to change the Conjuring utility line into an elite skill.
While I’m not against the idea, I feel like the weapon charges holds back weapon conjuring’s potential in general, I mean. The whole idea sounds unique enough to be an elite spec of it’s own.

Not exactly turning it into an Elite Skill and there isnt really enough there to turn it into an Elite Spec.
To me the charges are in place so that you cant permanently have a Conjured weapon while also making it so the Cooldown of the Conjured Weapon isnt ridiculously long.
To me what is holding back Conjured Weapons is that the Conjured weapon replaces EVERYTHING, you no longer have access to other attunement skills. All the Utility and damage of those Attunements now gone. It also makes it so Elementalist has some form of Weapon Swap.
Theres a lot you would have to go into though like each Conjured Weapons separate balancing which also needs to be looked at to make them more worth it.
I’d like to see conjures work more like engineer’s weapon kits, but with casting times and cooldowns. I’m not a fan of charges, but I’d particularly like to see the clunky ground targeting when conjuring initially and the sharing aspect removed. I think conjures need more than just removing charges and removing the sharing, but it seems like a good place to start.
The biggest problem of conjurer weapon (taking in mind pve) is even if they will replace an attunement or work as engie’s kits they will still be bad, because FGS has very little damage, bow was nerfed (but still decent), axe is useless, earth is useless.
In the while in pvp have a FGS that work like engie’s kit would be wonderfull (probably op) since it would give us probably the best mobility in game + an huge evade skill on a very low cd. So we could may steal thief’s work (lol).
Also earth shield could be usefull in pvp with his block, cc (could make a dps build with Lighing rod work well), and invulnerabity.
I would really love if they make this happenes, but I’m realist and I know Arenanet will never do it for 2 reasons
1 too much work and effort to do it
2 they balance and rework skills mostly around metabuilds.
So I’m Pretty sure they will never put that effort in something that no one know if can work
Having conjures work exactly like kits would probably be OP. I think they should be more similar, but not exactly the same. The simplest thing seems to be removing the ground targeted 2nd copy and cutting the cooldown in half.
When restricted from 20 skills down to 5, I’d think the 5 should be fairly strong. Maybe just buffing the auto attacks is enough to make conjures interesting, with the above changes. The autos use charges, so they should be strong too.
